Stunning seaside home, in countryside sleeps 5

MartinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We love this place and have been visiting now for several years. It's a lovely spacious detached house with a sunny garden for relaxing. We always feel very at home. We loved visiting the nearby harbour and wetlands and were delighted to see that two kingfishers have been visiting the harbour, we saw them several times fishing at low tide. We also enjoyed the local beach, the sea wall walk towards Lymington and the ferry over to Hurst Castle. Another great stay, thanks.

Thank you to Sophie & family for such a beautiful property! Our stay was perfect - our children & dog were besotted with the donkeys! Such a peaceful place, good and easy access to everywhere as well as being close to local amenities. The house was exactly as described, clean and spacious! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We are already planning our return!

The Old Farm Shop Cottage

AndyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A great break away for a few days with my Children.. The hosts (Susie/Sarah) are absolutely fabulous and were very accommodating before and during the stay. We visited Alum Bay and took the chair lift down to the beach and then a boat ride to see the Needles. The property has everything you require for a stay and even has a large fridge/Freezer to accommodate food should you if you decide to cook. A welcome basket of food including a few essentials was a nice touch! The hot tub was a massive hit with my son who was in it constantly. Thanks guys

Ranch style living....close to all attractions

BethanyRating, 5 stars17 months ago
We had a superb stay at The Orchard bungalow. Such beautiful accommodation and set in a perfect location to explore the island as everything is a short car journey away. The accommodation was clean, spacious and bright and felt very homely. We went with our 4 year old and my parents and loved the open plan living. There was plenty of space to do things as a family or grab a quiet moment in another part of the house. The rooms were well appointed and nicely furnished. Having so many en-suites was a real bonus. We took advantage of the on-site restaurant on the first night which was so handy after travelling. We also used the riding centre and booked a pony pamper and short horse ride for our daughter which was a fantastic experience us all and the staff were amazing! Great trip and we’ll definitely be back!!

We had a lovely stay! Hosts were very welcoming, friendly, and ever so accommodating. The views were amazing, extremely peaceful and lovely to watch the animals, with a morning coffee. Very clean and cosy accommodation, with necessities and more available. Even the dog was catered for (bowls, treats, etc) ☺️

The Little Barn (Wightbarn), Isle of Wight, UK

KatrinaRating, 5 stars30 months ago
What an amazing place! Such a peaceful setting for really getting back to nature, surrounded by beautiful countryside yet only minutes from the islands beautiful beaches and attractions (you will need a car if you stay here to make the most of the island). The Little Barn is clean, spacious and flooded with light, and has everything you could possibly need for a family stay - it was ideal for our family of four. We loved exploring the grounds, discovering local wildlife, eating the honey that was left for us (made by Susan and Richard's own bees) and drinking the local Mermaid gin! Susan and Richard could not have been more accommodating and welcoming, checking we had all we needed and giving us tips on the local area whilst giving us the space to enjoy our stay in peace - despite being next door, we barely knew they were there. Some of our local highlights were Compton Bay, Carisbrooke Castle, The Garlic Festival (every August), and the walk to St Catherine's Lighthouse. The perfect wholesome family holiday - we hope to be back one day!

Beautiful converted Dairy Cottage

RebeccaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Lovely place, just right for a family. It was really helpful that the host had left some brochures on the Isle of Wight in the kitchen so we could plan our days out. Accurate information about the amenities. The hot tub was great and easy to use. It added to the lovely, relaxed atmosphere of the place. Really friendly host who communicated well prior to our stay and sent us information on how to get to the Dairy, which we located quickly and easily. We all had a great time staying there and would highly recommend to others.

Bungalow in new forest

HollieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thank you so much for our stay, Paula! We absolutely adored the beautiful bungalow. Waking up to the horses and unwinding by the fire in the evenings was such a treat. You've truly thought of everything – all the kitchen essentials, milk, tea, and coffee on arrival, plus Netflix on the TV! My dog was the most relaxed he's ever been on holiday and really enjoyed the fire too. Oh, and the bedding smelled amazing! We can't wait to come back. X

Fallow Cottage at Hucklesbrook Farm, New Forest

BeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an absolutely amazing time here! Our hostess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We came over Christmas and there was a tree and Christmas decorations set up inside for us when we arrived. She also had milk in the fridge for our tea/coffee upon arrival. Secondly, we loved the fact that we could go pick fresh eggs from our cottages designated chicken coop on the grounds. This was the perfect place for any family with toddlers. So much to look at (including horses right outside our window) as well as a playground with swings on the premises. The only downside was there was no drying machine in the suite so unfortunately doing laundry made difficult. She did have pegs for outdoor drying but due to the cold weather, not applicable. There were however, drying racks in each bathroom so this was the perfect remedy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful, storybook “English” Vacation rental. We will definitely be back again! (If they’ll have us!)

Converted barn perfect for families and couples

DamonRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The piglet was a perfect location to stay on our trip to the Isle of Wight. It is situated quite centrally to the island so easy to get to pretty much most places on the island in a 15-20 minute drive. The piglet is very private, cosy and had everything we needed! Also upon arriving there was a nice little hamper provided by Lisa with breakfast bits as well as valentines themed baked goods from the local bakery and overall was a really lovely welcome. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Hawthorn Farmhouse

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a Wonderful stay at Hawthorne Farmhouse. On arrival, check in was easy, and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and neat the property was - definitely the cleanest air bnb property we have stayed at. House was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay plus lovely extras like tea, coffee and local honey. The house was a beautiful base for a family weekend. Despite the bad weather during our stay, we managed a beach walk and a New Forest bike ride. The house lay out meant we could enjoy meals and games night as a family. Lovely views of the countryside to wake up to and Ellie's farmshop opposite provided morning coffees and yummy cakes!! We will definitely be returning.

Stylish 3 bed High St mews flat with 2 car parks

LuisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very much as the listing describes it, Nicola's place is a stylish and comfortable flat in the centre of Lymington - steps away from a great range shops, cafes and restaurants, and Lymington's vibrant weekend market. It's an easy walk to the harbour and sea wall walk, and short drive to wonderful New Forest countryside. Having the availability of two parking spaces bang in the middle of town is an extra bonus, and additional (paid) parking is right on the doorstep if needed. This was my second stay at Nicola's place, as a small group of us regularly visit friends in Lymington, and it's the perfect pied-a-terre. The hosts are super responsive, and though quite tucked away the instructions for finding the flat are very detailed and clear.

The Blacksmiths Shop, Dean Farm, Isle of Wight

CarlyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed at Nicky’s place for a week and it was just perfect for us. On arrival it was spotlessly clean and had a lovely feel to it. The beds were really comfortable with lovely bedding. The kitchen is well equipped and I made a couple of meals there. There isn’t a huge amount of space to store food so if you are looking to cook I wouldn’t bring more than a couple of days worth of food. It was perfect to whip up breakfast though and a couple of pasta dishes. I would definitely recommend eating out though as the local restaurants were fantastic and we particularly liked the Spyglass in Ventnor, the Fisherman’s Cottage in Shanklin and the Cow at Tapnell Farm. The location is great and Ventnor (10 mins away) and Shanklin (20 mins away) were our fav places to visit. The coastal road along the south of the island was also a beautiful drive. I would highly recommend Nicky’s place if you’re looking for somewhere to stay on the Isle of Wight. I would definitely return. Thanks, Nicky 😊

The Granary at Kemphill Farm, Ryde. Isle of Wight

NirangaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
I was looking for a place to get away from it all, and this place was just what the doctor ordered. Susan was very responsive and helpful. Thank you helping with booking the ferry. The welcome pack was amazing. Very clean and plenty of room to just spread out and relax. The surrounding is just lovely for a stroll or a jog, or a spot of yoga-flow. The two living spaces (one in the ground floor and the other is the attic area) is just amazing. Kitchen was with plenty of utensils and enough pots and pans for a small army. The space truly caters for 10 people and we were only a group of 5! About 8min drive to a huge Tesco, and about 15 min drive to an Asda. They both deliver, but we chose the click and collect option. Internet speed on the slower side. We found that our Apple products did not like the openness of the WiFi and kept disconnecting. Watching Netflix/prime is not realistic. We loved our stay in the property and would certainly love to return with our friends.

Shalfleet Manor Farmhouse

LisaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Beautiful House and surrounding area tranquil. There were 9 of us staying for the IOW festival and have to admit We all could of just stayed at the house as the Lounge, Kitchen and Garden were spot on for a large group really just wanting to get together to relax and enjoy each other company. Prefect base for the festival and a whole lot more! Before we arrived Victoria had made me aware that she had rushed in a new dishwasher as last one was broken. Unfortunately we discovered there was a leak to do with the fitting. Victoria got this rectified quickly and ensured our stay was not impacted. Perfect host who did all she could to ensure we had everything need for our stay.

The Coach House Farm Lodge - Family & Pet Friendly

CherieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Excellent value for such lovely surroundings. The little cottage is private enough to feel you can come and go without having to interact with the hosts but also close enough for you to feel like an extended part of their community. Its a treasure of a place and one we would love to return to. The little farm, animals, mother-in-law and Aleks herself made us feel like old friends from the moment we arrived. Close to the ferry. We arrived to a welcome note and little treat, as well as recommendations to buy some local produce from the 24/7 farm honesty shop nearby. The guest book is comprehensive and full of tips and things to do. The kitchen has everything we needed for the stay. Lots of sharp knives too. Loved the small touches like the eco detergents / handsoaps etc. The bed linen smelt fresh, clean was very cosy with enough storage. Its a sweet little place and compared to other properties in the area had a unique charm that will stay in our heart. Thanks so much
