We had a wonderful stay in Wool Bay! It’s a beautiful little town — calm, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house was spotless and instantly felt like home. Our 5-year-old especially loved the game room and was completely occupied for all three days — which was a bonus for us! The host was lovely, always quick to respond and full of helpful suggestions to make our stay better. We even accidentally locked the key inside once, and they had someone come to help almost immediately — such a relief! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful break with great hospitality. We’d love to come back!

This is equally a review about Cheryl as well as her house. She is one of the kindest humans I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. This house is perfect for a Kangaroo island experience, faultless. But what I want to highlight is how my holiday was saved by Cheryl & she went above and beyond. We didn’t book a car on the ferry on time & I reached out to Cheryl who rang around & tried to get a hire car. They were unavailable, she kindly agreed to rent me her own car & met me at the ferry to make everything seamless. Be warned kangaroo island is a tricky place to drive! On our way to dinner down an isolated dark road a kangaroo jumps out into the road. We try to swerve and the car flips over ! Miraculously we are unscathed. The car however is on its side. I was in total shock, I called Cheryl who was only concerned with our safety. She rescued us took care of the car, dropped us home mad sure we were safe and arranged transport for the rest of the trip. I can’t say anymore ! Excepts thanks !

Views were fantastic and better than the photos reflect. Very quiet and peaceful place. We saw kangaroos, wallaby and an echidna from the windows. Binoculars and books on local wildlife were great. Bed was comfortable, and the place was very well equipped. Great stay!!

We had a really wonderful stay. Sue was incredibly helpful and accomodating. The house was beautifully presented. Plenty of inclusions, that made our stay really comfortable. The location right on the beach front was lovely. I enjoyed looking out from the large front deck every morning. We were sad to be leaving, but will endeavour to return one day.

Second time at Driftaway, such a great holiday home. Very comfortable, well equipped . Very relaxing on the deck, loved the hammock. Owners were quick to respond to a couple of questions. We loved our stay, thank you to Jess and Ryan.

As usual Steve and Julie’s apartment didn’t disappoint. It’s exactly as described, clean spacious across the road from the lovely beach and five doors from the hotel which do excellent meals. Steve and Julie are great hosts who always respond quickly to any message. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Such a lovely space, and thoughtful host. We were greeted with a fresh loaf of bread, wine and small condiments. Rooms were immaculate with fresh linen etc. Highly recommend this place

A wonderful house with lots of extras. We loved the view and the pool table and had a wonderful time. Everything you need for a lovely holiday. Lovely and clean.

Place is beautiful and matches photos! Furnishings are very well thought out and instantly give you a holiday vibe. We had a local koala in the next door neighbour’s tree and we saw an echidna cross the road not far from the property. The beach was fun to fish in the evening and the beach definitely looked like a good crabbing beach throughout the day. Great central location, being not far from Kingscote and not far from Penneshaw. There are no supplies available without a drive though so make sure you have supplies. Would highly recommend to others if you are looking for a relaxing getaway! Kevin is a great host to deal with also, thanks again for a lovely stay.
