My family and I had an amazing experience in Kurunegala! The coconut plantation was a paradise for relaxation, and the host was outstanding. He provided us with excellent recommendations and was quick to respond to any questions I had during my family's stay. If you're looking for a tranquil forest experience surrounded by lush greenery, then this is the spot for you. The accommodations were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Excited to return for my next trip to Sri Lanka, and will definitely come back for round 2 in Kurunegala.

An Experience of a Lifetime! Usha Tree House was the first booking I made for my Sri Lanka trip, and I planned my entire itinerary around it—and it did not disappoint! Nestled next to Hiriwadunna Lake in Habarana, this magical retreat offers an unforgettable escape into nature.  Channa and Usha are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to create a unique experience. The adventure begins with a serene boat ride to the treehouse, setting the tone for the adventure .Once there, you’re immersed in what feels like a deserted island paradise. The treehouse itself is a labor of love, a real-life version of the childhood dream, complete with all the necessary comforts. Surrounded by lush jungle, the sounds of birds and wildlife makes you connected to nature. And the food—wow! Usha prepares traditional Sri Lankan dishes with such care and flavor. I even had the honor of celebrating the Sinhalese New Year with them, enjoying a delightful brunch of local sweets. Out of this world !

We had a fabulous stay! The view over Sigiriya Rock is spectacular and we loved being able to cool off in the pool. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our host was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely recommend this place!

This property is absolutely stunning, the photos don't do it justice. Shenal was incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions for getting there and checking in. Would recommend staying at least a couple nights to fully enjoy this place

Gayan’s place was just what I needed. Peaceful, quiet, close to everything yet far enough to have quiet. It offered a genuine local experience. Beyond that Gayan was great help to me and helped me with tours, leading several himself. I made new friends and enjoyed my stay.

Went here to record a podcast about birdwatching. The episode is now 16 hours long. Also, there was a chameleon. It shape shifted in front of our eyes, and whilst beholding that magic, we turned our day to day stress into the wonder of our surroundings and the serenity this place beholds. Personnel was amazing. The best we’ve ever experienced. We felt sad to leave. The owners, a very nice couple, were so helpful, no high end star hotel can match that.

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

We loved our stay here. We are backpacking around Sri Lanka and wanted to try something different than hostels and this was perfect. Such an experience! Animal sounds to listen to at night. So many beautiful fireflies at night. Hashan was a good host. Good at communicating and helping where help was needed. Thank you for this experience!

I've traveled to many countries, but this wonderful house, located in this wonderful landscape, was by far the most beautiful place I've ever been able to stay! Sajiith and his wife are so warm, accommodating and radiant hosts that there is no question for us to come back😊. Be sure to join the cooking demonstration. It was indescribably beautiful to see how traditional cooking is done and above all it was super delicious!! Thank you very much for this unforgettable holiday! 🥰
