At Last

AdamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great location, peaceful and still convenient to town. The place was better than we were expecting. There is lots of room in the house, doesn't feel cramped at all. There was even a hot tub (it had a couple issues, which is why it wasn't in the post, but it was working well enough to use.) Owner was very responsive. I'd stay there again.

Ten Mile Coast Road Ocean Outlook

RebeccaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was the most incredible stay with absolutely phenomenal views. The place is so roomy for big groups, so peaceful, and had the most amazing view we had seen in our 3 weeks touring around. It was super clean and the host was so friendly! If we come back to the South Island we will 100% be staying here again.

Nicely renovated house in a quiet area. Good facilities well suited to our older UK guest with limited mobility. Suited our visit to the coast perfectly.

The Tussocks, Arthur's Pass

adeleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A top spot in Arthur’s Pass. Sunny and quiet. 10-15 min walk to the village, 2 mins to start of Mt Bealey track or JCs track (lovely walk along river flats to village). Minimal train noise (a real plus in Arthur’s Pass!) The house is great - new bathroom, functional kitchen, nice firm beds. Updated and comfortable, but still with character, for a proper mountain bach experience. It had everything we needed, including lots of spare towels, tea towels, flannels, and heaters for every bedroom (didn’t need them in summer but good to know for winter!) as well as the fire place. We travelled as a family with two preschoolers.

The Church House

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely stay at The Church House in Hokitika . Kirstys place is very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you might need, with a well equipped kitchen and a great shower. The location is amazing just being a couple of minutes walk to the gorgeous beach with its fantastic driftwood sculptures and a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Also just a few minutes walk to the town. Thankyou.

Luxury Seaview Apartment, 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom

JianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a huge suite filled with luxury. Everything felt like a 5 star hotel. The top floor has a huge bed room with separate closest space. The bathroom is huge with a large spa tub that is quite enjoyable. The top floor also has a beautiful ocean view and we watched the sunset which is beautiful. The ground floor has a huge living area and a very large kitchen and desperate dinning area. If you like to spoil yourself and family with a bit of luxury, this is the place for you.

Hokitika Firestation - Chief Henshaw Apartment

KathrynRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

Rain forest apartment.

RosalieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We only stayed here for one night on our journey up the coast, but it was easy to find, very quiet and a spacious apartment. We walked to Pancake rock (which was interesting) then walked the Pororari river track, which was good and not crowded. The people in the information centre were very helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to go on the beach but it looked nice.

Old Taylorville school

RachelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We, family of four with kids 7 & 10, loved staying at Rachael and John’s place. It’s a really stunning property with so many cool places to explore. A unique experience staying in an old school house, which the kids loved. The host were so generous with their space and encouraged us to help ourselves to the beautiful fruit trees and glass house goodies. Also, lucky us got to try the best ginger beer ever! And it was homemade. The school house is spacious and comfortable with fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom was clean with a nice shower. This place is super cool, filled with creativity and hard work. You won’t be disappointed!

LauraRating, 5 stars1 day ago
I had an incredible stay here! The view of the lake was absolutely stunning, and waking up to that scenery every morning was just magical. The host was super kind and welcoming. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and there were also some very friendly cats around, which made the stay even more special!

Tucked in at the bottom of the prettiest hill - make sure you climb at least a little way into Kings Domain - this unit had everything we needed. Also appreciated their recommendations for eating locally, made for a memorable - if too brief! - stay.
