Modern Cottage by Country Park & Film/TV Studios

PaulineRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Garry & Lynne are just the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble when asking for advice or recommendations. The house is just perfect. Beautiful lounge and kitchen with everything you need. The bedding was so comfy and a wonderful in shower in each of the bathrooms. If you like walking this place is perfect. Great country park within walking distance. There are some great little villages about which are worth a trip. Watford town Centre has great shopping too. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem of accommodation.

Home Meadow Cottage

NickRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed for 14 very comfortable days at Meadow Home Cottage over Christmas 24. The space is ideal for a family of four and has everything we needed. Lovely and warm, fantastic shower, comfy beds and well kitted out kitchen. Lawrence was very welcoming and accommodating and we were very happy with our stay. Stanbridge is a great little village and we enjoyed a delicious roast at The Five Bells 🔔 The property is ideally located for Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Whipsnade etc and is very secure. All in all a very good place to stay and we would happily book again!

The Old Stables, Town Farm

LiseRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The accommodation is located on a campsite, which creates a very cozy atmosphere. There are plenty of walking opportunities with little to no road crossings. The accommodation was clean and fully equipped for 4 to 5 people. The beds are comfortable, as are the sofas and other furnishings. Communication with the host was excellent, and we also had a contact person from the campsite available. Highly recommended!

Bright,Airy Flat near Digswell Viaduct,WGC,Station

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
All top scores on the cleanliness, location, communication etc A very comfortable apartment overlooking gardens and an excellent view of the railway viaduct over the Mimram Valley. Sarah's a brilliant host, we really appreciated the detailed instructions for getting to the location and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The weather was very cold during our stay but the apartment was very warm. It's a very peaceful location and great for wildlife... keep an eye out for red kites flying around the viaduct. It's super close to Welwyn North station and a short commute into London - look out for the early non stop train to King's Cross in fifteen minutes!

White Cottage Annexe with riverside garden hot tub

SamuelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at the Annexe at White Cottage. A gorgeous converted barn that was perfect for two people! Lovely, cosy and beautiful surroundings. The grounds were gorgeous, loads of places to chillout by the river and greeted each morning by ducks, wildlife and the resident cat who was the favourite and he knew it! We stayed in the annexe for two nights for a birthday and it was the perfect staycation getaway! Sally was super helpful with local restaurants, pubs, walks and things to do and they didn’t disappoint. The house was stocked with any and everything we could need, from milk and a few chocolates in the fridge (thanks Sally) to shaving cream and shower gel in the bathroom. Sally’s efforts made this stay seem effortless and super relaxing as we had everything we needed. And on top of that, celebrating with champagne in the hot tub under the stars was magical! We will definitely try and be back to experience it again, as it would be even better in the summer months!

Beautiful home with hot tub near Cambridge

AineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful house, great location, minutes walk from the town centre. The house was perfect for our friends weekend away. 7 adults stayed. We all commented on how comfortable the beds, pillows and linen were. The kitchen had everything we needed. The crockery was lovely and the house gave a real luxury feel. Living room was spacious and the sofa was the perfect hub for old friends catching up. The hot tub was ready for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The only issue we had was the water temperature dropped when we showered at the same time(3 showers) but was easily sorted by staggering showers. I would highly recommend this house and look forward to staying here again.

We would definitely return! Only issue was only one toilet for the 3 of us and no real shower unit (merely preference for us so not their fault) They had some lovely cats, very friendly, cheeky too as one of them got into where we were staying 4 times through various windows 🤣

We had a beautiful few days at Jasmine cottage . Gavin and Tom were so friendly , helpful and accommodating . The cottage is in such a lovely location , private yet close enough to drive to some great pubs and places to eat . It was cosy and warm with a really tasteful living area for a party of 5 of us to enjoy . Lovely walks with the dogs in beautiful countryside . Thoughtful welcome food and drink were left for us and the dogs when we arrived with candles lit 😊we would all definitely go back

Beautiful Barn Conversion

MartinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Large living room, bedroom with two large beds and a kitchen very well stocked with utensils, cutlery and crockery and all usual white goods. Danielle had left us a welcome pack with wine and biscuits which was a lovely touch. The lounge was very comfortably furnished and decorated in an unusual rustic and homely style. Easy parking and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We only used it as a base for a family function so didn’t visit any of the local facilities. Would definitely recommend.

Detached Barn in Rural location near Chesham

MarcoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We (2 adults, 1 son of 14 and a dog) have had an amazing Christmas holiday week. Valerie and Philip are top hosts. At the arrival we really felt welcome. The scones, bottle of wine and dog cookies are an example of true hostmanship. Valerie and Philip are easy to communicate with and always respond quickly. The black barn was warm, cosy and is a quiet spot near beautiful meadows, woods and lovely Berkhamstead. London, Oxford and Windsor Castle are within reach by car or car/train. At 2,5 miles you can charge your EV (max 150 kw/h) at the parking lot behind M&S (Berkhamsted). We really recommend spending your time at the black barn. England at its best.

Misty at Emerald Cottages

PezounaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Had a lovely stay at Misty Cottage with my husband and young daughter for 5 weeks, whilst our flat was being renovated. The property was homely and clean and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful, especially when we needed to extend our stay. The only thing I'd suggest is to explain in the Airbnb description that the washing machine for our cottage is communal as this would have been helpful to know beforehand. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat.

1 bedroom braughing, Hertfordshire

AaronRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had an amazing time, the location was perfect, quiet and beautiful. The pictures looked amazing but it was even more stunning in person. It’s far away from busy towns and roads but close enough you can visit the places you want. We went to some of the places recommended by Kate and they didn’t disappoint. All fantastic. We would love to stay again and I highly recommend this beautiful cottage. I hope to stay here again.
