Carol's place is perfect for a beach vacation. It was right on a quiet beach and with easy access. Carol's place provides on the neccessities needed for a wonderful stay. A clean spot to eat ,sleep, and the deck provides a nice view of the ocean.

We love everything about the Yates Cottage. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful view soothed my soul — so much so, that we already have plans to return soon! I was up at first light each morning to greet the sunrise, and then saw the sunset at days’ end. A kingfisher and great blue heron kept me company each morning to see the birds start to take flight. Don’t forget to take your binoculars — the Cape Lookout Lighthouse is directly across the Sound and you can see pods of dolphin and pelicans fishing. If you are an avid birder, as I am, the Tundra swans are early this year, and can be seen nearby in Davis. Nothing could be finer than our visit here — we are blessed to have found the Cottage.

Great place to stay. Weather was cold but we had a great time with dog & toddler. Plenty of inside space & could take walks outside
