Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Handbridge

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful spot. The surroundings were gorgeous and the home was perfectly furnished! Everything you would need was available. We also enjoyed being able to utilize the large yard to relax with a cup of tea and/or kick the football. We were also grateful for the local recommendations list...very helpful! We wish we could have stay longer! Thank you, Jane and Kemper! 🩷

We had a lovely time staying at Frog Manor. Richard was very helpful and flexible and the home and grounds were vast and beautiful. We were lucky enough to be there on a hot weekend so we spent a lot of time at the outside patio area, where there is a hot tub, outside bathroom and a great outdoor cooking space with a gas bbq, outdoor sinks and counter space. All the bedrooms were lovely and spacious, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. Overall I couldn’t recommend Frog Manor more!

We loved the layout of this place—upstairs living and downstairs sleeping worked perfectly for us. The floors were quite noisy, but thankfully, with toddlers around, most of our group was already used to a little extra noise! If you're comfortable driving up steep roads, this venue is well worth it. It was wonderfully warm inside, so much so that we didn’t even get a chance to use the fire! There are plenty of activities and adventures within a 15 to 30-minute drive, but the on-site games room is a great option for fun as well. While we didn’t get to explore nearby walks, we noticed plenty of people parked close by, suggesting there’s lots to enjoy in the area. The hosts were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We’d absolutely recommend this place!

We stayed at Luke's house for 3 nights. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The welcome pack of milk bread, orange juice tea and coffee was an unexpected treat and very welcome after our long drive. It was positioned perfectly in the middle of the 2 sections of the Wales Coastal Path we had planned to cycle. I would definitely recommend to others x

We stayed for the grand national weekend. The house was very clean and had that homely feeling. The facilities had everything we needed. Only 10 mins into the city but taxi which was good. Highly recommend ✅ Would stay here again.

Amazing! Caroline was extremely helpful prior to our arrival with lots of key information and helpful local tips. The accommodation was spotless! Beautifully present and very comfortable for our family of 5. The pictures do not do justice to for the size of the downstairs space. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and great to have two separate bathrooms and showers. The countryside surroundings were stunning and very relaxing spending evenings in the hot tub after long walks. We visited some great pubs and restaurants in the local area. Perfect place to stay. Very cosy, nice to have the log burner. Close to lots of great restaurants (particularly the Corn Mill), view of the Castle from the main bedroom, easy access to the canal where you can walk to the pontcysyllte aqueduct and horseshoe falls. Not a far drive from Snowdonia :)

Fantastic location, easy walking distance to city centre where there is plenty to occupy everybody.Communication from host was excellent, property stunning, location quiet and private. Facilities at property were first class, clean and comfortable. Many thanks to Mike the host for letting us share his home and beautiful city Chester. Hope to return soon and will definitely pass on details to family and friends.

The flat was gorgeous, lush soft carpets, warm, bright, gorgeous decor and interesting books to peruse. Jane really has her eye in with hospitality and there were cookies and tea, a whole bottle of proper milk and orange juice. Lots of lovely touches that made it feel like a home from home. The location is quiet overlooking the Mersey river, which is tidal and turns into a beach in the morning! Its a short walk to the ferry over to Liverpool (if its running) or bus to train /taxi ride over to all the attractions. I would highly recommend this apartment and we enjoyed the quiet away from the city too. Thank you Jane!

A surprisingly private place in the centre of town. Very clean, everything you need to enjoy your stay, and a variety of avian wildlife to watch.

Great two nights stay, while visiting family member in Chester Uni (only 20 min from Chester). Comfortable and fully equipped. My old two dogs enjoyed fully fenced garden. Welcome goodies -wine, pastry, milk and dog biscuits- much appreciated!! Picturesque village with lots of walks and lovely atmosphere- Holt castle within walking distance. Nice host, clear instructions, easy to find. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Gary’s place. He’s a friendly host and it’s a really peaceful location. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony (which is covered, great for all weather) and watching the swans. The place is well-equipped for longer stays and we were able to cooks meals etc. Having two bathrooms was helpful too. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after days out exploring. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Gary!

An outstanding place and ideal location. Lots of space, character and places to relax or socialise within the accommodation. We all loved it. Crosby is wonderful and there is the beach, shops, bars and takeaways nearby. Christine was the ideal host. Thank you very much.

Louise was an excellent host- very kind, helpful and considerate. Louise went over and above to help us out with our stay. The place is very clean, quiet, well located and cozy. I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again if I was ever in Chester.
