House holiday rentals in Halifax Harbour

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, spacious lakefront home! The lake was perfect for swimming, and we spent hours each day enjoying the water. The well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals for our group of 9, and the location was ideal—just 10 minutes from grocery stores. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. Sounds good. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

Great private place to stay in Lawrencetown. Close enough to the city to visit but excluded and private with ocean front. Would stay here again if in the area!

Helen’s was a great host. Her air bnb was beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed our stay in Halifax. The home is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood and it was easy to access shopping, dinning and site seeing in down town Halifax. We will definitely stay here again! Nothing but 5 🌟.

I would definitely 💯 recommend this beautiful property and his owner Justin!! Fully equipped kitchen for cooking! Bbq outside as well as a fantastic 6 man hot tub which we throughly used and enjoyed. Fire pit was an added bonus. One of the absolute best air bnbs we’ve stayed at and we travel extensively for work all across Canada. Cheers

It's exactly what we expected based on pics and reviews. We traveled during winter so many ammenities were not available, but price was adjusted to reflect that. Gorgeous design, textures, and attention to detail. Felt a lot like home to us. The driveway is steep, but doable. The only notes I have.....a garment rack in the master bedroom would have been helpful as most closet doors are locked. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

We really enjoyed our stay! It is a great location close to downtown. There was plenty of space for all of us and we loved the private hot tub. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Owl & Otter! We had a group of 10 and there was more than enough space for everyone! We had two dogs staying with us and they loved the walking trail. Having the event space downstairs made it easy for us to all hang out while not disturbing any of our friends who wanted to sleep upstairs. Emily was super responsive and was always quick to answer any questions that we had! Definitely would stay again :)

Great value for a lovely and conveniently located spot in central Dartmouth. The space is much larger than it appears and is well equipped, comfortable and without any clutter. Emma quickly accomodated our last minute, same day booking and we thoroughly enjoyed a quiet cozy retreat while visiting family in the area.

Very spacious for family activities, with cozy quiet spaces also. Large, well stocked kitchen great for the holidays.

Loved the layout of place and the no stairs. Zack cleared out our step and driveway right away after a snow storm. Heat was not and issue and very comfortable setting. Only thing was washing dishes is a thing you must do after each meal has there was no dishwasher. Would stay again and recommend.

This spot served us very well over Christmas (7 adults). Close to harbourfront for walks. Handy to have the grocery store across the street. Bedrooms were very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. House was clean. We enjoyed the board games too. Thank you Sara.

After many days on the road, it was fantastic to park our motorcycles at the Red Roof and totally unplug. It is a gorgeous, peaceful location ...... just soaking in the ebb and flow of the bay was perfect and Phil was a great host....we highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at Anni’s. She made us feel so welcome and even left out some snacks and drinks which was a great touch. We communicated throughout the trip for various reasons and she was always extremely accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Kelly and Doris are incredibly friendly and quick to respond. Our stay was a last minute booking. Both kelly and Doris helped us feel right at home. The property is an Oasis. It has everything your family will need. The pictures do not do it justice. The quiet peacefulness you feel well sitting by the lake is everything you want and need. We will be coming back!

We loved our time here. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt very warm and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware, as well as with basic food items such as salt and pepper, coffee, tea and more. A welcome basket awaited us with a variety of snack foods, many of which we enjoyed. The bedrooms were friendly and inviting, and there were plenty of bath linens for our family of 7. The location of the home was ideal for us, and we walked to the grocery store, university concert hall and a wedding function. When the heavy snow made it difficult for snowploughs to get to our parking area, we were offered Uber rides to be reimbursed by the property owners. We would be very happy to stay here again.
