Greta Cottage, Gerringong

Great place to stay. Caters for all weather. The pool was used on the warm days and the fire pit and games shed on the colder autumn days. Big spacious rooms, bathrooms and living area. The alfresco entertaining area was perfect for afternoon drinks. Location was central to town centre. Would definitely return. Thank you

Large One Storey Coastal Home Walk to Beach/Shops

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Myself and extended family stayed at Liza's. I would rate 6 + stars if we could. Fantastic location, Attention to detail, folder full of local information, personal touch of basket of goodies and personal note was a great start to our stay. BBQ area was a great space to sit and relax. The house was inviting and spaces, clean eg no traces off other previous 4 legged friends. Comfy beds. Ample room for extended family. Location was great for walks, parks, shops, cafes ect. Friendly and very quick response from Liza. Thankyou, we would love to come back.

Manyana Beach Bungalow - beach 300m, breezy vistas

AlasdairRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Manyana is such a nice spot and Gabrielle's place was perfect for a getaway with the family. Balcony upstairs is great for a big feast and there's a good area downstairs for the kids to hangout. Really nice place to spend some quality time unwinding.

Your guide to Greenwell Point

All About Greenwell Point

Greenwell Point is a small town on the South Coast of New South Wales with a prime location on the estuary of the Crookhaven River. Nestled between Curley’s Bay and Comerong Bay, Greenwell Point is a great place for freshwater outdoor activities including boating and kayaking. The town is home to 1,200 full-time residents, who own and operate many bars, restaurants, and shops tucked in between the waterfront cottages. Local sports enthusiasts can also check out the bowling and sports club.

There are also many attractions in the nearby towns including botanical gardens, quiet beaches, a historic lighthouse, the Shoalhaven River, and the peaceful Wollumboola Lake. In nearby Jervis Bay and the hinterland parks, you will find ample opportunities for cycling, bushwalking ,and camping, and you also have a chance to see native Australian wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, and wallabies in their natural habitat.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Greenwell Point

Thanks to the temperate New South Wales weather, Greenwell Point is a great year-round destination. The warmest months of the year are usually December through February, making this a very popular time to visit the area. Winter is the coolest time in Greenwell Point and also happens to be the busiest — book accommodations well in advance for this season. The weather is usually very pleasant in the spring and the fall, making these great times to explore Greenwell Point with fewer people around.

Top things to do in Greenwell Point

Culburra Beach

Located less than a 30-minute drive from Greenwell Point, Culburra Beach is one of the area’s most popular beach towns and promises swimming, fishing, and surfing. For both ocean and freshwater enthusiasts, the town is surrounded by water on three sides by a river, a beach, and a lake.

Shoalhaven Heads Botanical Gardens

Created by a team of dedicated volunteers from the local community, Shoalhaven Heads Botanical Gardens showcases native Australian plants and flowers such as the striking Banksia, acacia, and hakea. Conservationists and environmentalists will also be able to learn a great deal about local methods of forest fire prevention through the lens of how Australia’s vegetation evolved to withstand bushfires. Pass through these 2.5 acres to explore the plant nursery and spot more than 20 species of birds and colourful bees, butterflies, moths, and beetles. The gardens are a half an hour away from Greenwell Point and can easily be combined with nearby destinations.

Comerong Island Nature Reserve

This beautiful nature reserve is located just across Comerong Bay from Greenwell Point. As an estuary habitat, it is a great spot for bird-watching and it is also popular for surfing, swimming, paddling, and kayaking.
