Family-friendly holiday rentals in Great Australian Bight

What a lovely place to stay! Madeleine & Brendan’s house was so comfortable and perfectly located. We had such a relaxing time over Christmas. Wish we stayed longer!

We needed a relaxing weekend away, and we weren’t disappointed. We loved listening to the sound of the ocean at night time. The house was clean and comfortable, and great to be able to take the dog and know he was safe in the secure and pet friendly yard. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home in such a beautiful location.

Looked exactly like the photos, very clean and clear instructions and all necessary modern conveniences.. hot tub was amazing and relaxing and easy to follow instructions were provided.

We had a great week at Chris’ place. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace for breakfast and dinner. The cottage is generously laid out and fully furnished and equipped with all amenities one could possibly need. We used it as a base to explore the southern Fleurieu peninsula, which worked well for us. The property is in a beautiful and quiet residential street. We felt very comfortable and happy at the property.

We had a fabulous stay at Lisas's place. The beach is amazing and the view from the townhouse is exceptional. We enjoyed watching the sunsets every night on the large deck. Lisa was always quick to respond and so friendly. Would love to stay again!

Debbie and Leighton's was just perfect for our stay with a small toddler. House was quite spacious and comfortable in the kitchen/living area. Laundry amenities were very handy for a family. Location is absolutely perfect to be just away from the busy-ness but a very short walk to the beginning of the main street and still a comfortable walk to the beach. We will certainly be back for the comfort and convenience!

This cottage was everything we needed for a relaxing 2 nights in Auburn. It was so clean and well equipped to stay self-sufficient. The kitchen had all the basics you need to cook for yourself. Upon arrival, there was a fresh loaf of bread, eggs, milk and cereals for breakfast which was such a lovely, homey touch. The bathroom has the most incredible bath that was perfect to unwind after a long day of doing touristy things. The location is perfect, quick walk to the main strip and local Rising Sun Hotel, and access to the notorious Riesling Trail which we ran 7km of. The only thing to note is if you bring your dog, like we did, note that it is not a fully enclosed front/backyard so would recommend keeping dog on lead if recall isn’t great or doggo tends to wander. Otherwise we would highly recommend this place!

Very responsive host before and during our visit, digital and printed manual, everything clearly labeled, cosy home and safe for our doggo too, found a dog bed, toys, snacks , few freebies for us to use, clean linen, bathroom, kitchen, everything you need was provided. Stayed a whole week as Esperance and surroundings has so much to see and do. Dog sitting we have found in nearby was very trustworthy. Great location, walking distance to nearby observatory point and a beautiful walk with coastal views. A short drive to town. Indian restaurant around the corner and many great places to eat and chill. Electronic was easy to use and no need to remember where you put a manual key. Worth to visit Sally’s gallery/gift shop in town and say hello :) Highly recommended! Enjoy your stay everyone!

Fabulous little unit, suited our needs. Lovely surroundings, large old gums and beautiful gardens. Nice outdoor area and very peaceful. Bird life abundant. Was a lovely finish to 3 months travelling to WA and back, before we head home. Jan was very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much 🌺

We had a lovely stay at Sue's property. It's very centrally located and the house was comfortable, clean and homely. We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Great accommodation and all the useful amenities for those travelling with children/family. The twin bed/kids room included puzzles, books & wooden toys which were fabulous for unwinding after a day of sight seeing. We enjoyed spending time in the front sun room too - lots of spaces within the home. And a quiet neighbourhood. Short drive to Glenelg foreshore, adventure park, Henley beach etc. and easy to navigate from for other day trips (wineries, CBD & neighbouring tourist towns). Fab home.. Fab hosts! Would definitely recommend.

Our family can highly recommend Charlie's BnB. We felt right at home from check in with the house so well equipped and welcoming. We have lots of special family memories with 3 generations enjoying time together. Thank you so much for everything Charlie.

Nice place, great location, great host

Centrally located in quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed for our stay. Loved the Brazilian cafe and being close to the IGA

David and Heather were great hosts. Such a beautiful location, the house is great and the gardens are so well looked after, it was a pleasure sitting outside just enjoying the surroundings. Lots of little touches with lovely hand soaps, bathroom night light and a coffee machine. The whole family loved our little getaway, thank you!

The Butler's cottage is beautifully presented and designed. The little kitchenette has all you need in it. Bathroom is spacious and clean. Bed is very comfortable. Didn't end up using the pool or sauna - sauna as the weather was too hot and pool as there were other guests in there at the time. The place is close to a small town centre with some nice cafes there and you can pick up groceries if needed. Lovely place to stay :)

Great place to stay

Fantastic location and host! The location couldn't have been better. Just walk out to the beach, lots of restaurants nearby and Helen was very responsive with messages and helpful with recommendations.

Superb property in every way. Stayed one night with 9 people inc 4 children and the house fitted us all comfortably! The swimming pool and cinema room were particular highlights. Easy to access with parking and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. All essentials were ready for us on arrival which was a lovely touch. Very much recommended.

The house was exactly as described, very comfortable to stay, adequately equipped kitchen with lots of cutlery and crockery. It was very clean and functional with two separate living areas which could accommodate a large number of guests. The house is well-located for access to the beach and shops but also in a quiet street. The house had multiple cooling options - air-conditioning, evaporative cooling and fans so there were lots of options to keep the temperature comfortable. We had a small issue with a window which was stuck shut and Carolyn had that attended to immediately. She was very accessible and responsive. The outdoor area had lots of space for guests to eat outside and a terrific BBQ. We were delighted with our stay so thank you very much to our hosts!

Wonderful, really nice and very hospitable hosts. We felt right at home in the beautiful private space and gorgeous gardens. Perth hills never disappoint not only due to its beauty, but also the kind and friendly people. Sally and her husband are wonderful people whose home is set in a wonderful picturesque landscaped garden. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer to get to know them more. Will definitely be back when next we’re in the hills on a holiday.
