What can I say I felt lucky to stay here, especially given how hospitable Sergio was. He was extremely accomodating. He helped us plan our whole journey to mount roraraima, was even kind enough to give us a lift when we were in need of one and helped us out with payment issues given we didn’t have much cash. He also let us use his guitar so we could spend some time playing music together. Altogether, this made it one of the best hostel visits I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to manyyyy hostels. That’s credit to Sergio especially. Would recommend this place everyday, and I cant wait to come back later in life to say hi to Sergio and his family again.

The Yakoo camp is a place surrounded by nature, you can hear the scare of the saraguats and the singing of the toucans. The cabins are spacious and comfortable and all the people who work on the site are very friendly, always willing to support guests, 100% recommended.

I stayed much longer than expected, enjoy living in this house in the garden, like chatting with the local people in Santa Elena, last but not least is to appreciate Sergio's great help with Rorima hiking. I have a wonderful journey here. Muchas Gracias!
