Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Goliad County

This location is sublime. We came to explore the local ghost towns by car, but were so happy in the cabin itself that it was hard to go anywhere. Bring lots of food to cook and enjoy the porch and fire pit. Gorgeous sunsets and night sky, and my three dogs had the vacation of their lives. I hope to come back!

This bnb was excellent. I’m a super picky person when it comes to my environment. Some bnb’s are just uncomfortable and the layout is awkward. This bnb has a peaceful feng shui. Well decorated, spacious and calming. There is a fenced private area out back where I could just relax with my service dog after work at nights and wind down. The hosts were super accommodating to any problems I had and made me feel very at home. I looked at all the other bnb’s in town and truly believe this is the very best one.

Annual guys trip and decided on this place. The place was spectacular and met all of our needs. The house was impressive and thoughtfully laid out. The shooting range was great as well as all other activities. We will definitely reserve this place for future use.

The weekend was so relaxing. A nice little getaway from the city life. Enjoyed fishing on the pond and river. Kids enjoyed being outdoors. Jacuzzi was awesome to be in. We took our movie projector and set it up on the house and watched movies outside by the campfire while the kids made s’mores.

Place was beautiful, host was friendly the surroundings was just so peaceful ☺️ 10/10

We could not have stayed in a more perfect home for our stay. The Maetze house is truly a wonder. It is decorated with unique artifacts from Mexico and Panama. We loved the high celiings, the warmth of the original shiplap walls, and that gorgeous walk-in tub. The kitchen had everything we could need. Each bedroom has its own full bath! The view of green jays (yes green jays!) was so entertaining. The dark night sky view of stars was spectacular as we sat around a fire on a cool October evening. However, even this was out-done by a surprise greeting by NINE miniature donkeys as we drank coffee on the back porch! They were friendly and tame and just PRECIOUS! Next time we will rent all three houses because I cannot imagine a better place for a family reunion and nature retreat! And don't forget to eat at the family-owned Watering Hole in near-by Goliad's town square. Or a fascinating walk-through of Goliad's Oak Hill cemetary with its earliest inhabitants going back to just a few years after the Battles of the Alamo and Goliad including members of the Texas Calvary and veterans of the Confederate war. There is an HEB and Walmart less than 30 minutes away in Kenedy. And last but not least, the hostess, Claire, was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. Thank you, Clare, for a truly MAGICAL stay! We will be back!
