Excelent Location

The place was exactly what we needed for a large family with kids to stay. The “Florida” room was so nice to have close conversations in. The kids loved the pool! The home is wood throughout, very beautiful and comfortable. There is a park that is walkable with disk golf, and Downtown is also walkable. We went during market days, which happens once a month and was such a good time. The game room needs a some attention but we made it work. All in all, this is a hidden gem and I highly recommend river house.

Elizabeth was so friendly and helpful, exceeded our expectations! All the fine details were noted so we knew what to expect. It really felt like home and Elizabeth was so personable and went above and beyond making our children feel at home too! We definitely appreciated the minimal checkout requirements and no cleaning fee.

The surroundings were quiet, and peaceful. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed. I loved sitting out back to watch the sunrise with my husband and a cup of coffee. I will be back to recharge, watch the sunset and look at the stars when the weather is better. Stephanie and her girls were very welcoming and friendly. Buddy the dog is big and scary looking, but he is a big, sweet baby who loves attention. He loved getting a treat (dog, horse & cow treats are provided just inside the door). We will visit again.

This was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed our time bird watching in the mornings and stargazing at night. It was was like coming home each day after touring historical Goliad and Victoria. Thank you Claire and Wilfred for a great experience! PS: The donkeys greeting us when we got back Saturday night was priceless!

My husband and I had our two kiddos with us. They loved this property! My kids had plenty of space to run around, as well as set up their own tent next to the cabin. They were flexible with us, extremely communicative and provided everything we needed. They have an on-site restaurant, which was perfect upon arrival for our family to grab dinner after the drive up. The ponds were fun to fish in although we didn't catch anything. This was a needed peaceful and relaxing stay. We would recommend this place to family and friends as a rest/stopping point for trips up & down to visit us.
