Holiday rentals with a kayak in Gilmer County

My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

First off, Wendy is a spectacular human! She was the sweetest! I messaged her to see if we could check in a little early, not only could we check in early she let us know it was ready before the early check-in! She checked on us to see if we needed anything done around the house, leaves or wanted the Christmas decor down! It was just outstanding and we loved the Christmas decor! The boat dock was so peaceful and was my workout everyday!!! We will be back for sure!! It’s like we are family now!

The place was very clean and had a wonderful view of the lake. Dan was very responsive to any questions I had and had clear instructions for checking in/out.

We are just getting home and already looking to see when we can book our next trip. The place was more perfect than we could have ever imagined and Cassie was simply THE BEST!! We ended up being snowed in and being "stuck" at the cottage for a couple of days....and it was just dreamy. The view was already breath taking but adding the snow...man. Simply Beautiful. The location is perfect if you are planning a trip to Blue Ridge or Helen....or hit up both because you will be close enough to do so.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

Very responsive host, amazing spacious house with gorgeous views! Kitchen had all appliances we needed. Outside patio had plenty of chairs and gas heater was a game changer!

This air BNB was THE BEST Air BNB our family has ever stayed in! We have 4 teenagers who all thoroughly enjoyed the home theater as well as the pool table. It was clean and had available laundry on site. There was so much room in the house and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. We'd love to visit aging in the summer since the lake in the backyard looked like so much fun! We were close to beautiful hikes: Telullah Gorge, Bell Mountain, and Brasstown Bald Mountain. Don't hesitate to book here!

This was our 2nd stay at the Lakehouse and again it did not disappoint. We spent very little time enjoying the property, because of time constraints in our racing weekend at AMP. But, again, the home was perfectly described, clean and comfortable. We will not hesitate to rent Chris and Kathryn's "Lakehouse" again if we return to either or both of the two race weekends at AMP next year. Thanks again, and I do appreciate your quick responses and the excellent sleeping mattress in the upper bedroom. It is exactly like the one I sleep on at home.

Here’s a suggestion for a five-star review: My family and I had an amazing stay. We evacuated from Hurricane Milton and Spencer was incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us to check in. Spencer was very responsive and quick to answer any questions, making the entire process smooth. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, which made check-in and navigating the space a breeze. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

We spend a few days after Christmas and the place was clean and quiet to relax , we definitely stay here again .

Nathan’s place was absolutely breathtaking and stunning. We visited family for Thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The space was so peaceful. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. You can tell a lot of time and care went into creating this space. Would absolutely visit again and recommend it for other people in the future.

When you pull up the gate you felt safe. It was an enchanting journey down the drive of wonder. Then you see a beautiful cabin sitting there by the river. The waterfall was beautiful coming off the mountain. We loved getting to pan for gold near the waterfall. The boys got to get their waders on and there fly fishing rods and got in the river. They caught two rainbow trout. We had everything we need to cook them that night. Nothing better than fresh trout. We would settle in every night with a big ole game of monopoly and then a tournament of darts. In the mornings I loved it the most. My husband and I would drink our coffee on the porch and watch the river go by and just listen to the peace and quiet. Such a joy of getting away from the hustle and bustle of life for a moment.

We had a great time on our impromptu trip to the lake. The house was clean and the sunsets were beautiful from the dock.

We had a wonderful stay at Bill's Lake House. It was a peaceful slice of heaven in a nature setting. We had deer visit both morning and night and entertainment from squirrels and a variety of birds. Bill and Pat are just lovely and excellent hosts. We enjoyed getting to know them very much and hope to see them again. The house was perfect - lovely layout, very welcoming and comfortable in every aspect. And they thought of everything! We enjoyed the lake - kayaking and just floating in the water. Bill suggested restaurants and things to do that were very helpful. Most definitely one of the very best getaway vacations we have had! Huge thank you to Bill and Pat

The cabin was excellent with great amenities. The booking and check in process with Helen was completely professional.

The yard and view of the pond is spectacular. The front lawn is basically a little hiking trail that’s a lot of fun. The home was as described and looks like the pictures. We would return.

WOW… this cabin was incredible and the most amazing AirBnB I have stayed at. My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and planned all of these things to do around Ellijay but we ended up just cancelling and staying at this incredible cabin the whole time. We did not want to leave! The creek flowing next to the cabin feeds the lake about a 100 yards away and there are kayaks to take out. The waterfall which is about 40 feet high is a 3 minute walk from the cabin with a pick nick table set out in front. We loved the fact the cabin was secluded and away from all neighbors which made this extra amazing. We spent most of the end of day sitting in the deck watching the sunsets, in the hot tub, and just taking it all in. The cabin is a perfect blend of a a rustic cabin In the woods with modern updates and furnishings. I highly, highly recommend!!!

This has got to be one of the cleanest Airbnbs we have stayed at. The cabin is beautiful providing everything we needed we were surprised at what all was there. The onsite pool was clean the staff there were so nice. Melissa and George were on point at responding to questions and providing recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The everyone in the community were so nice the restaurants were really good we definitely will be back.

Just Peachy was a beautiful getaway for my husband and I for our anniversary! From the huge covered screened in patio to the gorgeous view of the lake. They had great amenities including firewood for the fire pit and wood burning fireplace. We would love to stay here again in the future.

My family felt right at home in the cabin. clear instructions on locación. qe had a wonderful Christmas experience. I know both my boys absolutely enjoyed themselves in the game room and play ground área. we will definitely return to tye cabin for a visit and we recommended it to all of our Family members already .
