We really liked The Nest and very much enjoyed our stay! I will be honest and say that our first impressions of the surrounding area weren't great as the area around Spalding seemed a bit industrialised and the property is quite near a very brightly lit junction of the A16. However, we soon realised that this wouldn't impact our stay at all! (So don't be put off is what I am trying to say, if you google map the area!) The immediate surroundings are peaceful and quiet and the property is surrounded by a riverbank and trees which shield the house very well: especially I would imagine in Summer. Inside the property was lovely - very calm and tranquil, beautifully clean and well decorated and furnished. Furthermore, countryside is in abundance when you venture further up Marsh Road. We will definitely look to book again next time we are visiting friends in he area. Also loved the welcome hamper - very much appreciated!

This place has to be the best we stayed in UK with being spotlessly clean and tidy. We had a lovely welcome gift of snacks and drinks. Wendy went the extra mile to leave the heating and lights on for our arrival. She was always available for any queries. It is such a thoughtfully designed place with everything that one needs with a baby and family. Such a huge collection of books, tons of games for adults and children. The kitchen has a very good selection of amenities and everything is state of art. Truly a home away from home. The pool in the clubhouse is heated and great for families. (Its adults pool so please carry swim vests for little ones if needed). We also enjoyed our lunch at Spikes Bar in the clubhouse as well. Staying just for a weekend to enjoy this place does not do justice. We will be coming back definitely. It might just be our favorite place to relax and unwind.
