Holiday houses in Garibaldi Hill

We enjoyed our stay at Oceanna's place. We sat outside every morning watching birds while we ate our breakfast, including fresh mangos from a tree in the yard (Also fresh thyme and basil for some evening pasta). Easy walk to Turner beach. To avoid walking on the main road, cross over at the corner store to boot hill rd (see google maps). The dirt road goes right to a quiet, slightly unkempt bay. When you get there, on the right, is a gate to the closed Pelican Villas, just to the right of the gate is a short path that leads across the point and down a few steps to Turner beach. If you are here on Friday, there is a young lady that sells food from a stall right opposite the corner store. We had her roti which was great! The corner store has canned food, dried goods, jugs of water, etc and cold beer. Also for great local food, if you go to Darkwood beach, Aunty Cavell's had delicious oxtail or goat curry, and the best rum punch on the island. We took the local bus #22 from St John's.

Great place! Communication with Toya was great. Nice, private location away from the hustle and bustle of Jolly Harbour, but close enough to make easily make use of the their amenities with a car rental. Walk through of the place with the host on arrival. Given the relatively quiet location, I recommend renting a car to visit other parts of the island, but my family was content with a primarily "sit on the quiet beach" vacation this time around. AC worked flawlessly and that kept the edge off any warmer days - in the evenings the tradewinds and a drop to 75F made the evenings perfect inside and out. If you are looking for an authentic Antiguan cottage rather than a resort getaway - highly recommend this Toya's place.

Accommodations was super clean, beautiful clean pool, walkable to 5 gorgeous beaches, east access to local bus into town, quiet and relaxing area. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Beautiful apartment and area to unwind!

A slice of local living in Antigua! Kat and Trev were oh-so-warm and welcoming. They helped me book tours, gave good recommendations on things to do/places to go/taxi drivers to trust, and just made me feel like I was part of the neighbourhood. The suite was immaculate and had everything I needed. Even visits from the household dog and cat, which I loved. The location was a little off the be beaten path, but I think that's what made it special. Not overrun with tourists and felt very authentic. Plus, Crabbe Hill Beach was my favourite beach of all the ones I visited. And Trev makes a good rum punch!

Almost a bit reluctant to leave a to good of a review for the fear of people discovering and flocking to this awesome property and beautiful island/country.. But here it goes; To be clear, this is not your typical caribbean or any sea holiday for that matter.. It's better!! If you are looking for something different and a bit more adventurous - this is it.. You will have the rugged unspoiled island terrain to explore and take in with all it's beauty and places not many people in the world have ever seen.. Yet, when are seeking comfort and some rest you can quickly return and recharge in this stunning house with all it's amenities and largest pool on the island.. The House with it's breathtaking views alone is already worth the trip. Best part, you can have best of both worlds.. To make things even better, the people of Monserrat must be the friendliest group of people we have ever met on any travels!! Thanks Tony & Marlene and Yvette Would love to come back for a longer stay !!

It was serenity! The perfect place for our vacation. You could hear the waves of the ocean, watch pelicans and beautiful sunsets right from the deck. The pool was wonderful and deeper than we expected, making lap swimming and just having fun with our child much more enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds super comfortable. If you are seeking a quiet place to get away and only plan to venture out a few times, taxi is the way to go. If you would like the flexibility not only to go to a destination, but also stop along the way to check out road stands and places at your whim, I would recommend renting a car. There are few options within walking distance, and all require a steep ascend. If you are looking to take a very informative tour of the island I would recommend Sun's Montserrat Island Tour. Overall we are looking forward to come back another time and enjoy Dave's place and Montserrat.

Great location. very peaceful and quiet. Kenneth was a very honest and trustworthy host who is true to his values. Really helpful in local recommendations and organising car hire. Good value and service using Ken as transfer (with very helpful stop at the supermarket). Overall we had a wonderful time in Antigua, due in no small part to Ken and his delightful accomodation.

What a beautiful place! The photos do not do the property's gorgeous pool area and view justice. What a magnificent island and serene home to enjoy it. Howard was superb at providing info, and Jenny was warm and welcoming in her introduction to the property. The house has endless linens and beach towels, and there are some excellent restaurants and nearby grocery stores so that you can cook in the fully stocked kitchen (pans, tools, etc). Jenny even provided milk and a few other items upon our arrival, which was very kind. My family enjoyed our time at this peaceful home. I agree with some of the other comments that the driveway is a bit of a challenge, but it's manageable once you figure out how to navigate it!

Alyson and Tony’s Place was open and airy with a great view from the deck. The location was closed to a few great beaches and restaurants. A great place to stay would definitely book again
