Beautiful Caribbean Villa with spectacular views

CatherineRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The pool, the pool, the pool. Oh, and yes the house and the views. We had a wonderful stay at Trelawney. The pictures were very accurate, although the magnificence of the views can only be captured in person. We were in Montserrat for a family reunion which had many planned activities. However when we had any down time, we were in the pool. The pool was immaculate, and Robbyn did a wonderful job of keeping it that way. Asha was wonderful as well, very thorough and very personable. Adrienne was very helpful in letting us know where to shop for food as well as suggesting what we could bring with us. She also helped us secure transportation. Winston was wonderful and we used him for the entire time that we were on the island. It was so wonderful to be back on the island, our first time since the volcano. Adrienne was very responsive any time that we reached out to her. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We would gladly stay there again.

Min-y-Don, Montserrat Caribbean hideaway

AnyaRating, 5 stars13 months ago
if I could give Siân more stars, I would absolutely perfect - view of the ocean, a lovely pool, wonderful yard (complete with iguanas, chickens and agouti), and Siân and Peter were fantastic hosts. From the very informative package (restaurant recommendations, what to do, where to buy groceries and souvenirs) to an offer to pick us up from the airport, they were gracious, kind and helpful. kitchen is well equipped to make meals, and there's seating inside and out. Bed was very comfortable, all rooms were spotless - it truly was a wonderful place

Oceanfront Luxurious Villa Stunning Sunsets Avalon

JeffRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Montserrat is a beautiful island with a unique history. If you have time, let Sunny take you around and soak in his history as one who has lived there for decades. A sort drive away is the Olveston House which serves great dinners. If you go, check out the photos done by Linda McCartney. Down the beach is Isles Bay Beach Bar and Restaurant. Odd hours, but great sunsets, drinks and dinners. Recommend reservations at both. The house is comfortable with an amazing pool. The views from the deck and pool are worth the visit. Great sleeping with the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The kitchen is well stocked. If you are cooking, the outdoor dinning is great. Recommend renting a car and exploring the island.

Secluded Caribbean retreat with a spectacular view

TauraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Such a great stay at sea song house. The location was fab. Walking distance or a very short drive to woodlands beach and not at all far from town or any of the local attractions. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The view from the veranda is absolutely breathtaking and one of my favourite things to do was to sit and watch the sunset. Sunny, who was managing the property during our stay, was a true gentleman and so super kind and helpful. On our arrival, he took us to the local supermarket to buy supplies as well as helping us to hire a rental car and taking us to the police station (twice) in order to get our visitors driving license. He also helped us to arrange a hire car during our stay and was full of recommendations for tours and places to eat etc. I cannot praise him or thank him enough. He is a tour guide and so we also went on a tour of Plymouth with him which I would highly recommend as his tour was super informative.

Villa Isotica: Scenic and Breathtaking Views

A. Azeez.Rating, 5 stars5 months ago
I read all of the previous reviews on Norman's and Daphne's place and had high expectations. Let me assure you ... they do not disappoint! The place was fabulous with everything we needed for an amazing stay. Super clean and tidy and amazingly comfortable beds. My wife had such an amazing time, we extended our stay for a few more days. Norm provides is an amazing tour guide and highly encourage you to take advantage of that service if you are new to the island. And Daphne knows everything about where to go eat, shop and relax. She even connected us with a relative who delivered eggs to our place so we could make breakfast. Super Host level service here. It's a no brainer where I would stay on my return trip to the Montserrat.

Almost a bit reluctant to leave a to good of a review for the fear of people discovering and flocking to this awesome property and beautiful island/country.. But here it goes; To be clear, this is not your typical caribbean or any sea holiday for that matter.. It's better!! If you are looking for something different and a bit more adventurous - this is it.. You will have the rugged unspoiled island terrain to explore and take in with all it's beauty and places not many people in the world have ever seen.. Yet, when are seeking comfort and some rest you can quickly return and recharge in this stunning house with all it's amenities and largest pool on the island.. The House with it's breathtaking views alone is already worth the trip. Best part, you can have best of both worlds.. To make things even better, the people of Monserrat must be the friendliest group of people we have ever met on any travels!! Thanks Tony & Marlene and Yvette Would love to come back for a longer stay !!

Oceanfront luxury, king bed,AC,WiFi,4beds,3bedroom

AnjaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
It was serenity! The perfect place for our vacation. You could hear the waves of the ocean, watch pelicans and beautiful sunsets right from the deck. The pool was wonderful and deeper than we expected, making lap swimming and just having fun with our child much more enjoyable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds super comfortable. If you are seeking a quiet place to get away and only plan to venture out a few times, taxi is the way to go. If you would like the flexibility not only to go to a destination, but also stop along the way to check out road stands and places at your whim, I would recommend renting a car. There are few options within walking distance, and all require a steep ascend. If you are looking to take a very informative tour of the island I would recommend Sun's Montserrat Island Tour. Overall we are looking forward to come back another time and enjoy Dave's place and Montserrat.

Lime Cliff

DanaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This was my first visit to the island and I have fallen in love with it. This rental is well equipped and close enough to the beach to easily hear the waves crashing in. I loved being able to relax in the hammock on the deck. If you have not been to the island keep in mind that it is challenging to get anything here so you will not find all the luxury of North America or Europe but you will be extremely safe and welcomed The host was so helpful and get a taxi to bring me here was a great help since he knew exactly where to go. Do rent a car to get around the island! I thought I would walk and taxi but so glad I did not. It is a small island and I quickly found my way around.

Amazing Villa Tropicasa

VictoriaRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We had a lovely stay at Kenneth’s! We were visiting on a work trip and the location was great for us, including being a peaceful base for getting some work done. Ken helped us arrange a local car rental and was very quick to support us when we struggled to unlock the garage door (our error!). Ken and his fab team left us with great info on local things to do and we were in easy walking distance to two great restaurants (Olveston House and Vue Point) as well as Lime Kiln Beach. We hope to be back again soon (we drank from the burn at Runaway Ghaut to be sure of it!)

Crows Nest Villa...2 bed with pool

RussRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Unfortunately, I can’t honestly review Tom & Chrystal’s place. Tom had reached out a couple of weeks prior to inform me that due to scheduling issue, he had made arrangements for us stay at another villa, which was absolutely amazing! By chance we ran into Tom and family at the local dive shop, and we ended up eating lunch together. Everything I had come to learn online was met in person: kind, friendly, funny, generous… Good people, and we count ourselves lucky to have gotten to spend time with them. So, even though I can’t speak about Crow’s Nest in Woodlands, I can say my interactions with Tom and Chrystal were 100% positive, and I would happily stay at their place at the next opportunity.

you need to be prepared to be self sufficient in Montserrat especially in Isles Bay which is beautiful. Some things are hard to come by and expensive but that is due to the circumstances of life on the island. Beautiful and clean and unspoiled.

You won't be disappointed with the house and location. We were by ourselves in the house and loved it. Perhaps bring a few things to eat as food shopping is very limited and find out which restaurants open after 6 pm. Not many do. We will be back......

Jayesh was a fantastic host and great local hub of knowledge. Picked us up from the Airport and dropped us off again, arranged for a hire car and gave great advice on money, driving licenses and places to visit. Montserrat is a beautiful place and Jayesh knows everyone there it seems! Thanks for a great stay.

Comfy & modern 3 bed residential home with porch

BeatriceRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Elena's place was really lovely and her uncle and aunt, who checked us in, were very welcoming and understanding when we arrived later than we had initially said but couldn't inform them because data wasn't working on our phones. They also took us in the car to show us the nearest supermarket and restaurants and gave us tips on the area. The wifi didn't work on the first evening as there was a problem island wide and the engineer hadn't shown up that day, but it was quickly resolved the following day. Communication was very smooth throughout the entire process. Our neighbours, a lovely couple who are long term tenants in the flat below the one we stayed in, were extremely friendly and helpful - one day they even brought us some guineps (Spanish limes) which were delicious. St John's, like all of Montserrat, was full of very lovely and welcoming people. And it's a great location from where you can easily get to any part of the island.
