Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Frederick County

This was the perfect spot to hang out with some close friends, enjoy good food, and watch the Super Bowl. There was more than enough space. The open lay out let those of us in the kitchen take part in all the conversations and activities. We had everything we needed at the house. I especially appreciated the downstairs bedrooms near the back door for our dogs. Matthew was super responsive and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better space!

Absolutely beautiful home and location. Host was very responsive, helpful, and attentive during our stay. We definitely would love to come back during the warmer months to fish and hike. The local butcher had delicious steaks that we cooked on the grille, got live bait from the gas station down the road, and the Mexican restaurant in town was absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience and stay for the new year. The fires and smores by the river were our kid’s favorite thing to do.

The house was easy to find right on route 11. Julie & Matt were very friendly and communicative. They allowed us to push back our check in because of snow. The driveway and walkway were plowed and shoveled for us before we arrived. We did have a little hiccup with the heat on our first night (it was a super cold spell), but I woke up to a message from Matt with his handyman ready to come take a look. It was easily fixed and they followed up later in the day to make sure! The house was great for our family of 5, the kids had the entire upstairs area and the kitchen was well stocked with everything necessary to cook at home! We loved the view out back of the mountains and cow pasture. Highly recommend!!

This place was great! Small, cozy location in the mountains! It was peaceful and just what we were looking for 😊 everything was nice and clean, and we felt right at home!

This was a great spot that we picked at the last minute because it’s dog friendly, not far off rte 81 and also has a no cats policy (my husband is allergic). The space was simple and comfortable. I actually liked it better than the usual schlocky Airbnb decor. Mary was helpful with checkin instructions, and otherwise we had a comfortable and peaceful stay! Recommended!

Beautiful, clean, airy, modern house! The host stocked it with plenty of supplies and anticipated our every need. All floors in main and upper level wood and felt clean and all beds had duvet covers. Bathrooms stocked with shampoo and blow dryers, laundry stocked with detergent and even a steamer. They thought of everything. The host was really responsive and helpful. The house is near the end of a gravel road that at the same time was remote and private but felt safe. We were a large family group over Thanksgiving weekend and it was freezing outside (so we couldn’t use the beautiful pool and even too cold to use the propane fire pit) but the house had lots of space for 15 of us to spread out and keep busy - an exercise room, a TV room, a pool table room, a sunny common room. It was close enough to Winchester, VA where there was lots to do. A fabulous, well organized community Thanksgiving 5K, a children’s museum and history museum. 1.5 hours from metro DC area.

Cabin was as advertised- right on the river and I didn't realize there was a small grocery store/butcher about 10 minutes away- came in handy when I forgot to pack my dinner! As a football fan, I was happy to see the Wifi was great- no issues streaming.

The team was helpful and responsive. There was an issue with the charcoal grill grates but we were pleased that after communicating it to them they had the issue fixed in an hour by bringing new grill grates for us to use. We loved using their fire table on the back porch. Super easy to turn on and has a nice view of a stream in the backyard. One thing that we weren’t pleased with was the couch in the living room. We tried watching a movie there and found it to be uncomfortable and small. But that is just one small nitpick. Overall, we had a great stay!

This cabin is so beautiful and peaceful - it is more amazing than the photos! Hannah was extremely responsive and helpful, and the cabin was squeaky clean. We enjoyed walking to the marsh right across the street and exploring the beautiful property. The cabin has neighbors nearby but still feels very remote and private. We had a wonderful time!

We enjoyed our stay with cute decorations and the cozy vibes. Neighbor’s dogs were really cute too. Overall, really amazing memories for us :)

Sadly we were not able to stay at Allison’s place for the weekend we had booked due to inclement weather out of anyone’s control. Allison notified us of the conditions at the house well before our arrival time and we were able to cancel the reservation. She was very responsive and helpful despite the unfortunate circumstances.

This place is amazing… My husband and I decided to getaway for valentines and wanted something to disconnect and this was perfect. When we first walked in the place was perfectly clean and it smelled delicious. As soon as you walk in you feel that peace and calm that makes you feel at home. We had plans to go out and do something outside but we were so relaxed that we preferred to stay in. Is very private and it allows you to enjoy the sounds and beauty of the mountain. Sabita is the best host ever, replies super fast, the instructions provided are clear and easy to follow. Thank you for creating this magical place. We can’t wait to book again soon!

Enjoyed every second of my stay! The cabin was beautiful, clean and cozy. The view was perfect every morning and sunset. The quiet and calmness of the location was needed. Paige was super responsive and helpful! I loved that the cabin came with lots of games, firewood and other essential items that made the stay even more comfortable. Would definitely book again!

Our group of four adults had a lovely cabin weekend. The amenities were exactly as described, and the interiors and views from the cabin were even better than the photos! We loved using the indoor wood stove and the firewood provided! And, Aaron was nice, responsive, and clear with instructions and any questions. Highly recommend!
