Holiday rentals with lake access in Fox River

I loved the place, the location, everything was amazing!!!

Booked this for a cozy winter weekend with friends. We had so much space and enjoyed all the natural light! We loved taking in the lake views and relaxing while snow was falling! Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils/cookware we needed! I would love to come back in the summer and take full advantage of the pool/decks! Would definitely recommend.

My family had such a nice stay at Waylon’s place! It was incredibly relaxing. All the beds are comfortable. He has a ton of huge tvs! All the custom wood pieces are really cool. Nice bathrooms and the sauna was amazinggggg! We used it multiple times a day. Dogs loved the private backyard area and little canal and we had a lovely bonfire 🔥 in the backyard! 15 mins away from a really beautiful nature preserve and hiking! We had great day trips to lake Geneva. Waylon was an amazing communicator and really flexible during our stay. He truly went above and beyond!!! Thank you, Waylon!! We would 100% recommend!!

Cool place, we were there in winter, imagine it's very cool in the summer.

Johns has a very special place. Very spacious. accommodations were perfect to accommodate our family while plenty of quiet spaces. Our favorite spot was the patio overlooking the lake. Very peaceful. We were able to watch geese, ducks, frogs, turtles and muskrats. Water was very clear. John was prompt to answer questions. Looking forward to returning.

We stayed her over New Years and had a great time. The house is very open with lots of room for everyone. Beautiful views overlooking the wetlands and lake. There was plenty of beds and could easily accommodate a large group. Hot tub was in a great location out back with a beautiful view. Would love to see how beautiful it is in the summer!

This place was exactly how it looked in the photos. It was a great open space with plenty of room for outdoor activities. Cam was very easy to communicate with and we all enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great time!

Upon arrival, there was some kind of misunderstanding with the cleaning people and it looked like our unit was not cleaned prior to arriving. We arrived pretty late but Michael responded very fast to my message and was able to get this taken care of right away for us. He was very accommodating and helpful. He sent multiple messages prior to the arrival date with helpful instructions on entering the unit and parking. The space itself was great and perfect for two people. Walking distance from the little downtown area and the river. We enjoyed our time in South Haven and would stay here again if we ever visited again!

Perfect location within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and Lake Michigan in an awesome historic home. Amy left very clear directions and was very responsive. Can't wait so stay again!

The best thing about this unit is the location - with a close up view of the beach from the living room and kitchen. That did not disappoint. Our flight was delayed five times, so we arrived late. The instructions for the heating panels could be better. It was freezing when we arrived and we could not figure out how to turn on all of the heaters. We got a quick response the next day to turn up the thermostat, but we were looking for wall thermostats. We have electric panels in our home, but I haven't seen wall switches before and we did not notice the remotes on top of the units at night. We bundled up and went to bed, and were able to figure it out the next day. That would be an easy fix to explain that some more. For us, the location was perfect because it was very close to where our new grandbaby lives! But the wonderful view of the lake made it great. It would be even better in the summer.

I stayed during Christmas. Larry put extra cookie sheets in the apt so that we could make & decorate cookies, a tradition with my kids, plus I put up a Christmas tree to! We felt right at home. The laundry machines are in the hallway making it convenient. Overall, I would stay again.

What a great place it was so cozy! As a former host, I love well thought out AirBnbs that have thoughtful touches throughout. Loved the little soaps, coffee pods and snacks. Can’t even remember the last time a bathroom had radiant heated floors that was such a nice surprise. Quiet house on a super quiet street. Felt just like a home away from home will be back sooner than later. Five stars all the way! 😊

Alex was incredibly flexible with our group’s varied check-ins and check-outs. Other members of my group met him and his partner and expressed that they were both very friendly and welcoming! It is an older building so the floors squeak a bit, but I have no complaints. We enjoyed Madison and this place was perfect for our stay. The sunroom overlooking the lake was unbelievable!

We had a blessed Christmas Eve and Christmas with family. Thanks for helping to make that possible.

There needs to be a level beyond Super Host, like Extra Special Super Host!! Kelly & Scott would definitely qualify!! The Cottage is exactly as it appears on the airbnb site. What you don’t realize is just how comfy, cozy, quiet and peaceful it is. A quick 30 minute highway ride was all it took to connect with family in Madison this holiday weekend. When you live on water, it’s hard to do without the view. Not necessary with the Rock River right in the front yard here. Thanks for the perfect holiday weekend. Cannot wait to come back to The Cottage.

Had a great stay. What a beautiful place! Will be back next year

Staying at the cottage felt like traveling back in time to when life was peaceful and simple, without ever feeling like anything was lacking from modern day! Her place is so aesthetically decorated and cozy. I loved curling up under a blanket under the large bay window watching the snow fall and waves crash onto the lake shore. Easy staircase down to private beach. Felt like we were the only one out on Lake MI, such serene peace and quiet!! Kitchen has everything you can want from Keurig to toasters. Bedrooms are warm and high quality bedding. Each cabin has its own Roku so you can Airplay your devices onto the TV. We really enjoyed our getaway. We did get lost trying to find our way to the property during a snowstorm but Jera Facetimed us to show us the way!

One of, if not the cleanest Airbnb we’ve been to. Everything was ready/easily accessible in the home, didn’t have to worry about missing/going out for anything. Area was really quiet and peaceful, however the bedrooms were close to/facing the road where the occasional car could be heard (1-2 cars per night). Overall had a great time staying here, would definitely recommend and possibly rebook in the future.

What a beautiful view from the picture window! This place was charming and had everything you could need to relax. My host was very accommodating and attentive. She brought a basketful of fresh linens to accommodate my change in guests due to schedules and availability of my family and friends. The pizza place that was recommended was fantastic and they delivered. The place is in a great location, close enough to town but out in the country. The sunsets were enjoyed on the deck:) One morning early while lounging on the couch I saw a beautiful yellow autumn dressed tree and under it’s branches a buck, majestic with his antlers under the tree shaking the bottom branches:) Very peaceful. We also enjoyed siting around the smokeless fire pit. Thank you for sharing your home with us!:)

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. Sitting in the hot tub late in the evening with the cool air and the full moon was amazing! We look forward to returning in the warm weather to enjoy the lake at its fullest. Kim was very responsive during our stay.

Gorgeous location and the cutest little place! Enough space for the whole family, plus the dog. The only downside (which was poor planning on my part) is there is no bathtub if your stay includes smaller kiddos. We will definitely consider another stay, especially during warm season!
