Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Finland

Great place to stay and lovely hosts! Cottage-like feel with a beautiful sauna but still modern amenities. Would highly recommend!

Lovely house in the middle of nowhere. Location perfect! You need a car! We were a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) and that was plenty. Personally, space would be too cramped accommodating 10 guests. Property in need of general maintenance and a proper deep clean. Those are my only negatives but certainly wouldn’t stop me from booking again. Would love to return in the Summer months.

Edwards place is a really beautiful little wooden house, close to Rovaniemi centre but very quiet and beautifully situated in the woods next to a lake. The snowy landscape was amazing! We loved to use the sauna after a day in the snow. Had a great time at Edwards place! Only thing to mention is that the two bedrooms are not separated by a door, it is actually more like loft, so the room downstairs where one bed is has a stair to the upper space where the two beds are. And, Edwards foto collection of fish on the wall are really impressing- great for fishing lovers :)

The house was spotless and warm with clear instructions. Everything had been thought of and we felt very much at home. It was so close to town and the grandchildren spent so much time sledging in the area which has some great places for sledging. Kristian was very helpful and I can see why he is a super host

We had a nice stay at Linda's cottage. We were personally welcomed and everything was explained to us. The cottage is very well equipped. There are plenty of toys for children and a separate games room with ping pong table, which can be heated by a fireplace. Just a lot of winter equipment like sledges and skis. We enjoyed hot tub and sauna. Highlight were the dancing aurora lights directly above us. Highly recommended!

One of the best Air BnBs i gave stayed un so far, very nice area!

The condo was lovely. We truly loved our stay. It was a perfect home away from home for my family and two young kids (a 3 year old and 0 year old). The location was great. Everything was beautiful. It was sparkly clean. The owner was hospitable and timely responded to all inquiries. The condo was conveniently located just 80 minutes from Helsinki and was near the sea, restaurants, bars, and the beach. The listing indicated it had 4 bedrooms. Only three bedrooms were accessible to us, which was perfectly fine as there was plenty of room and we loved our stay. A handicap friendly elevator was offered, if needed (which we utilized for toting the heavy bags with lots of kids' stuff up to the third floor). The house had two full bathrooms and was equipped with a bubble bath and a sauna. Everything about the apartment was charming, immaculate, cozy, stylish, and just perfect. At the time we made the reservation, we inquired about our need for a crib or pack n play for our baby. The owner promptly responded that a pack n play would be provided. Not only was there a pack n play set up when we arrived, there was also a high chair set up at the dining room table. We appreciated the thoughtful and sweet gesture. Having the special items at the condo made traveling with a baby comfortable and easy. The owner was extremely friendly and courteous. Once we checked in, the owner reached out to us to make sure everything was great and assured us we could contact him with any questions/concerns during our stay. The three accessible bedrooms were on the third floor. Two bedrooms were large and had balconies. The third bedroom was smaller and had two skylights. There was a fabulous bathroom on the third floor complete with a shower and a sauna. The second floor had a full and beautiful kitchen with all the amenities we could need for cooking in the condo, a comfy and stylish living area, a long dining room table, a beautiful bathroom with a tub and shower, and a balcony with seaside views. The bottom floor had our entrance, a foyer, and the stairwell.

Very close to the train station and a 10 min train ride to city centre, super well equipped kitchen and the hosts were very friendly and respond to your queries asap :)

The stay was as described and located in a quiet area.

Would 100% come back. No light pollution so seeing the northern lights was easy. The “clothes oven” was a great addition. Very warm place but all showers in finland are a little messy. Overall amazing stay!

Maria’s place was a perfect winter bolthole for our three-night stay in Helsinki. A spotlessly clean and warm flat which looks bigger than in the pictures. Maria is a friendly, communicative host with plenty of good tips. Highly recommended.

The apartment is in a great old house nicely and tastefully renovated comfortably with respect for the old, but without compromising on the amenities. The stay and living went smoothly and the sleep was great. If we need housing in Vaasa, we'll be back. Thank you

Tove's appartment was cosy, clean, and practically decorated. Everything we needed was by hand. She responded promptly to all of our questions. A diverse supermarket is within walking distance. I can highly recommend Tove's apartment.

This place really made our trip very special and Janne and Eini were the kindest hosts I have had at an AirBNB. It was wonderful that they included ski passes; it saved us on private ski lessons, rental equipment, and let us use all the lifts and the gondola to get to the top of the slopes or even just to the new Base Heat and Eat. It was a great location that wasn’t too far from local restaurants but secluded enough to not be in the crowded areas. Having the sauna and fireplace and beautiful house was great to unwind from jet lag of our first couple days or fun filled activities later in the week. We saw the Auroras/Northern Lights twice from the house. Once faintly while we were in the jacuzzi and once from the from yard, completely bright and stretched across the sky. It was truly an unforgettable stay.

Incredible! If you are looking for an authentic Finnish experience, away from all the larger touristy resorts, then do not hesitate to book Miika’s villa. The location is absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky to enjoy the perfect view of the sunrise over the frozen lake straight from the jacuzzi, even if it was -26! Mikka took us on a snowmobile safari, which just amazing, so you absolutely must do this! The villa, the grounds, the space, the amenities, just 5 stars all around. Thank you to Miika and family for a truly unforgettable trip!

Very nice stay for those who love peace and quiet. We very much enjoyed the garden sauna, hot tub, canoe, rowboat, sup. There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity. Enjoy reading books and playing games. Juha was always on hand to help us further via messages.
