Monthly Rentals in El Manzano

I stayed for a month in the apartment and it was beautiful. The neighborhood has EVERYTHING you need to live quietly. The bus to the center passes in front of the residence but, likewise, there are always taxis available and it is cheap to get anywhere. The residence is full of children so it feels very safe and familiar. I found the situation slightly uncomfortable with the vigilantes who very then stop you to ask you which apartment you are, but that also does not speak bad of the place as there is security. Always great communication at all times.

We have stayed in nearly 30 Airbnbs so far and all of them were good, some exceptional. But we have never experienced such a friendliness. Marylena organized the transport from the airport and helped us to find a good tour to Tochecito (go with fog walkers, much more wax palms and much less people than Valle de Cocora) and recommended very good restaurants and even drove us to the bus terminal on the last day. We had to come one day later as our international flight was canceled. She paid the transport from the airport to compensate for the lost night, which she needed not to do - another sign of the incredible Colombian friendliness. The Apartment is 100% displayed on the fotos, but much better is the wonderful large garden and it’s amazing that you can see so many different species of birds. The apartment is in a quiet area and only 10 minutes from the city center. We cannot recommend enough to stay with Marylena. Thanks for wonderful days in Filandia.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 9 night stay here. We felt safe and secluded. Away from the noise and business of the city, but still within a 20 minute drive from anywhere we needed to go in town. Everything was as described. Chickens/roosters and ducks running around, a private cabin with bed/bath/kitchen, and a beautiful view. One thing that you should expect (if you've never visited a farm) is that the roosters are quite vocal in the early hours of the morning. Overall it was an incredible stay. We were very impressed by our host's willingness to help us with whatever we needed. She provided us with restaurant/hiking recommendations, farm fresh eggs, laundry service, and was quick to provide us with anything we needed in the cabin. It is perfectly located between Pereira and Salento/Filandia/etc. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking to stay in a safe, quiet, private, reasonably priced place while you spend your days exploring the gorgeous Eje Cafetero.
