Holiday rentals with a fireplace in East Sikkim

Marvelous staying there in Passang's place. We all have enjoyed a lot there. We had very good snacks in the evening, delicious and tasty food in dinner as well as in the breakfast, extra care also over there for our child. The room is very spacious and cozy, having all the amenities. Moreover the warm welcome by the host at the time of reception and shower of love and respect at the time of checking out is something we are getting extra and priceless. We had a fantastic stay at Mr. Chandra’s place in Gangtok! He was constantly in touch with us ensuring a smooth arrival. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The room was cozy, spotless, and perfect for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out was the absolutely wonderful home-cooked dinner — delicious, wholesome, and made with so much care. It's real treasure to stay here and experience the serenity of this place. Thanks to sachin , kachyo and Pemit for having me and to have this deep and beautiful experience. From amazing mountains around, hot water spring to authentic stay, hospitality here, organic food grown in farm around and intense moment at Gompa, everything is amazing and wonderful. Couldn't stop myself from staying for another 2 nights.

Kessang is a fantastic chef! Every meal was DELICIOUS and thoughtfully prepared. The millet soup especially stole my heart. An enthusiastic trekker, he also led me through the dense forests around the area, crossing villages consisting of a few houses and tranquil landscapes. He also arranged a driver for me to visit the historic Kabi-Lungchok and all the ancient monasteries in the area, and accompanied me there, telling me as much as he could about Lepcha history, Buddhist thangka’s and rituals. An extra thanks for the warm mugs of chhi after the long days. :D I highly recommend this old and cozy cottage to anyone who plans a trip to sikkim.

I had a lovely stay at Sangdup's countryside homestay in the hills of Upper Dzongu. There are walkable trails and the surrounding is quite nice and peaceful. The altitude of the place is lower than that of Gangtok, so it's not as cold and high-altitude-exotic/stunning as some of the other North Sikkim tourist destinations, but I enjoyed the vibe of being in nature. Sangdup and his family are quite helpful and try to create a good experience for you. It's worth noting though that in order to reach the homestay you have to climb some 130 stairs. Everytime you need to go down for a car ride or for a hike you have to climb stairs.

Tucked away in the hills, Relaimi Homestay was a peaceful retreat for my wife and me. From the moment we arrived, Sujata and Nischal welcomed us with warmth and generosity, making us feel instantly at home. The homestay itself was cozy and charming, with large windows opening to misty mountains. A highlight of our stay was Sujata’s incredible home-cooked meals. Her chicken momos, served with tangy chutney, were unforgettable. The Nepali thali—dal, bhaat, vegetables, and achaar—was wholesome and comforting. If you love mountain air, meaningful conversations, and soulful home-cooked meals, Relaimi Homestay is the perfect escape, it offers more than just a stay—it’s an experience that stays with you. Infact we booked the stay only for 3 days and then extended to another 2 days and we can’t wait to return here again.

We stayed for 10 days at Green Hamlet and it was totally worth the money. The entire stay looks exactly as shown in the photos. The best thing about the stay is the balcony where you can sit with your friends and enjoy the view of Gangtok City. The host Prabha Mam was responsive and always a message away. The maids clean the room every day and even change the bedsheets. They even provide heated bedsheets and a heater for each room which made the entire stay comfortable and cozy. They provide you with home-cooked food at nominal rates. If you are traveling in a group to Gangtok, this is the place to stay.
