Villa holiday rentals in Douro

Definitely a vacation to repeat, I recommend it to those looking for peace, tranquility and nature! The house is very well equipped, decorated and has an amazing view! During our stay we were also able to enjoy the delicious fruit that is at Quinta de Fundevila (where the house is located). Regarding the location, it could not be better, in a few minutes' walk you are in the center of Arco de Baúlhe or the old train station, where there is no shortage of things to see and explore. It should be noted that the restaurants in the area are all very good, as well as the bakery and are just minutes from the house. Regina and Alberto are very attentive and warm hosts, they spoiled us so much! Thank you so much for everything, we miss it already <3

A group of 6 had a wonderful 2 night stay, the photo's and description of the property and its surrounds are very accurate. Communication prior & during was excellent & restaurant recommendations were very helpful. The attention to detail & history of the property takes you back in time & makes for a memorable stay. We stayed for 4 days. It took us a little to find the site because there are several places that are called the same in the area, but as soon as we called them by phone they gave us all the facilities to get there and it was a very warm and pleasant welcome. Abilio and his family are very kind and have been attentive at all times. The house is very convenient and close to tourist sites to visit: Braga, Guimaraes, Valença… at night, in July, it made us cool, but we were phenomenal.

Impeccable home, good location, 3min from the tram and 30min walk to the center of Porto, easy arrival. Pleasant garden for breakfast and aperitifs. Homes perfect for a large group. Comfort bedding.

great house. the neighborhood is very nice. Viana is a great town. the house is very well thought out and very pleasant to live with family.

A big thank you to Sergio for hosting us in perfect French: a small bottle and delicious pastries were waiting for us in the fridge. He gave us very good advice on places to visit in the area. The accommodation was as described. Sergio has a beautiful and large house that's very clean. The garden is very nice but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use it too much because the weather didn't allow it.

Awesome location. Very spacious, river is just next to the house. Big pool. A lot of extra services you can get. For ex renting sups and rafting down the river is a must!

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

The house is super well equipped and cared for. All rooms (the 8) have a toilet. Luisa is super nice and let us check out a little later. The only negative point was the pool being shared with the other house, otherwise everything was perfect :)

Perfect house for family trip. Great View, Comfort and Private. We stay 13 persons but not tight. Balcony is incredible veiw best view point.

We had an amazing stay. The place was perfect for a family vacation. The location was peaceful and the nature surrounding was beautiful. The house was spacious and the pool area was great! We had everything we needed. Totally recommend it! 😊

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

Clare is the best Airbnb host we have ever had! She is so friendly, went above and beyond bringing me an air purifier to ensure I was comfortable, and gave us dozens of recommendations. The house was also our favourite one we stayed at in Portugal out of 6 different accommodations, so beautiful and in such a great/safe area. Would stay here again!

Marisa’s property was absolutely perfect for our family (10 adults). The individual apartments were lovely, clean and comfortable and gave everyone their own personal space while also providing a common space for us to gather. We were greeted promptly on our arrival with a tour and clear instructions. (And a nice welcome basket of goodies!) The location was also great, giving us access to restaurants and attractions. Very walkable to most places. Highly recommend this property!

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

A beautiful house with peaceful surroundings. The family enjoyed the swimming pool, the table tennis and the walk to the river. There is everything in the house that is needed for a relaxing holiday. The kayak trip (organised by Ana) from the house to the town is really fun and worth doing. The guide is excellent and we learnt a lot about the history of the area. We visited Bom Jesus do Monte at Brage, about 35 minutes drive and Pena Adventure, just over an hours drive away. They have a zip wire from the top of the mountain and an alpine coaster, plus lots of other activities for adults and children. Some need booking early. We had a fun holiday and would recommend the house and the area. Thank you Ralf and Ana

We had a wonderful time in Portugal, and Antonio's place was a perfect base for our day trips. The house was lovely with lots of space and beautiful decor. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. The gardens had lots to explore, and fruit trees and a vegetable patch. Our children loved the house and we all had lots to do, including a playroom with loads of toys, dozens of boardgames, and just really nice spots to sit and read. Antonio was super friendly, very easily contactable, very quick to respond, and gave us lots of nice suggestions. We've had an amazing time at his amazing family home!

The house was even more beautiful than expected and cleaned to a wonderful standard. The place felt homely and spacious with enough amenities provided ie towels, kitchen utensils, food items etc. Pool and grounds were well kept by Fernando who helped us out with some queries during the week. The ruins on the property have the place an authentic and rustic feel. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all for some peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside.

Accommodation to enjoy it at all times, every corner very cared for and with many nice details. Located outside Amarante, in a very quiet area. Unbeatable barbecue and pool area, ideal for spending a few days with the family. The house is not very big, but it is well used and lacks nothing. On the other hand, Paulo's attention is worthy of praise, caring at every moment of our well-being, and counting on the help of wonderful neighbors who made us the stay very pleasant and pleasant. Without a doubt, the quality/price is more than recommended, we would repeat with our eyes closed now that we know Paulo and his surroundings. And another thing, let's discover the green wine of the area, how rich! 🤤😃 Thank you very much for everything, we will come back.
