Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Del Coco Beach

We loved the place and it was all it was made out to be. We read other reviews regarding the noise from the nightlife and it was a real thing. The view and location made it all worth while. Communication was fantastic. For our first time in Costa Rica it was a great place to stay. Would recommend it, especially the ocean view!

Awesome place to stay! When booked, I thought it was in Lagusta. However with the clear instructions for check-in, I realize that was not the case. After arriving, I was not disappointed one bit. The property is very centrally, located to all of the amazing beaches, and yet if you want the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo itself, it’s just a short drive. All of the maintenance staff was amazing keeping the property spotless and inviting. The restaurant and its staff in the front are just as amazing and friendly.. The host went out of their way to provide my family with items that were not included in the listing that we had requested before arriving. Anytime a question arose. It was answered within minutes. All in all, I am very satisfied that it was not in Lagusta where I had originally thought. Will definitely stay with host again.

Sergios’ place is set back off the road. He lives on the second floor. There is a gate which is padlocked before entering the apartment. I felt safe there. Sergio is available for any needs, questions. It is a short walk to the beach. If I return to Costa Rica in the future, I would definitely stay at his place again.

Cato was a great host! Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs..requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful.

The apartment was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. within walking distance of the beach and downtown Tamarindo. Lucas was a fabulous host he provided transportation from the Tamarindo airporand showed me around the neighborhood. he was always quick to respond to texts. overall very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again!

The place is beautiful, private, quite, just like the pictures, Vannesa and Audrey were excellent hosts, they were always attentive to anything we needed and very kind.

Jake’s place is absolutely fantastic. It’s bigger and nicer than the photos suggest. It was a great place to have as home base for a week. We travelled with our 10 month old and the layout was great for having children. The location is wonderful, it is a safe, quiet and secure complex with private entry to the beach. The ocean is only a few meters away and the views from the condo and balcony are amazing. We could see the water and listen to the waves as well as watch wildlife such and monkeys and iguanas in the trees. The beach itself is terrific and much quieter than Tamarindo. The pool was recently remodeled and is beautiful and was a great place to retreat during the heat of the day. Several restaurants and a market are within easy walking distance. Jake is super friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa Azul for my 30th birthday!! Benton was top notch- friendly, super quick responses, proactive communication, and he recommended an unforgettable catamaran excursion. The home was absolutely one of my favorite AirBnB stays so far. The photos just don’t do it justice! Steep but walkable and quick path down to the beach which was one of the prettier beaches in the area and also host to one of the nicer restaurants we got to eat at- Father Rooster. Don’t sleep on booking Benton’s place for your CR stay!

Very nice place and too cozy and better if you leave with a group of several people, we only had an inconvenience with the cold that did not work but the technician arrived and fixed it, then the road is ballast and there is a hill that costs a lot because the wheels skate. Everything else with the accommodation was super good and was nice at the weekend

Our host was absolutely amazing. I couldnt say more amazing things about our trip and airbnb service. Directions were clear and easy to follow, and our host was extremely attentive and responsive to our every need. Any service or activity we wanted to participate in, and our host immediately responded with excellent recommendations. Our private pool and view was exactly like in the pictures. It was our honeymoon and they were so kind and understanding of all our little requests. 10/10 would recommend for anyone trying to have their honeymoon in Santa Cruz. Thank you for an amazing perfect experience.

Casa Bosque will forever be in our happy memories! My family had such an incredible stay here. The hosts, Forest and Andrea, were so attentive to our questions or needs. She even made us sourdough bread one morning! They were respectful of our space and felt genuinely glad we were enjoying ourselves. They took our families sunset pics the last night. It was great getting to know them! The home is picturesque and has everything you need to enjoy Playa Negra. The beautiful pool overlooked the ocean and tropical landscape. It was refreshing to lounge in during the heat of the day. The kitchen had every amenity we needed to fix coffee, breakfast, and lunch. We chose to try restaurants in the area for dinners each night. Howler monkeys delighted us a couple of days when we could see the family hopping through the trees. The beach out front was a dream to walk out to from your own private entrance. We will definitely be putting this home on our “go back to” list. We enjoyed every minute!!

Amazing deal, the size and amenaties for the price was super!! a real steal in Coco! lots of neighbors but everyone was respectful and quiet.

This home is as described and beautiful! To say that Claire is responsive is an understatement- she is always available. The pictures don’t do it justice- it’s immaculate. There is a small grocery 5 minutes away and restaurants and the beach 10 minutes away. Rip Jack Inn has any sports game/match you need- just ask them. Tamarindo is a simple 25 minute drive. Taco Star is as fantastic- don’t miss it! Hearing Howler Monkeys for the first time is wild. Actually seeing them is quite unique but we did see them down by the beach entrance. Can’t wait to visit again!

This home was a good fit for our multi-family vacation. There was a lot of space in the kitchen and living room. We really enjoyed the backyard pool and jacuzzi. It was sunny in the morning and shaded for much of the day, so perfect for the kids that were with us. We also had a family of monkeys living in the trees behind the house! You should rent a golf cart to get around the property and into town. We had a few minor issues with broken items, but the host came right out to fix them. Worth noting, the 2 bedrooms not in the main house had a strong musty smell, so if you are sensitive to that kind of thing this might not be the house for you. The host did try to remedy the smell with air fresheners but it was quite strong. Overall an enjoyable house for our large group!

The property was well-maintained, with easy access to everything I needed, and I always felt completely safe. Britt, the host, was exceptional—his communication was seamless from start to finish, and his recommendations were top-notch. Whether it was dining, excursions, or local tips, he ensured that I experienced the best of what this paradise has to offer. Yes, the cost was higher due to peak season, but honestly, the view alone made it worth every penny!

The villa is beautiful, very comfortable, with a nice and safe atmosphere! Its location is one of the highest points; as it allows easy and quick access to different beaches with a high organic value. Both Lis and the staff where the villa is located, were very friendly and helpful! I think it's a place we'd go back to without hesitation!

The host was helpful and friendly. The location was an easy walk into downtown area. There are multiple other apartments in the compound but we were never bothered by any of the other guests. Shower was very weak pressure and would take a long time to warm up. The kitchen was nicely supplied with the necessities you need. We made breakfast there every morning. Overall a great stay for a fair price for the area.

Stephanie was very communicative and helpful during our stay. The place was conveniently nearby a few different restaurants and a market. We also found it to be very accessible to the activities in Tamarindo and the beach. Thank you for a nice stay, well worth the price. Pura vida!

We stayed for the month of February were very satisfied with the unit. Tushar was very responsive to any issues that arose which we were very thankful for as things will happen but when you get the response that he provides it makes your stay worry free. The unit was as expected and was extremely easy to settle in and feel like at home in a short period of time. Needless to say we enjoyed our time in the condo and would return again.

Had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Accommodations were within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Pool was clean and refreshing anytime of the day. It was great to be able to walk out the unit and have the pool right there. Any questions we had were quickly answered by the host. Would stay here again.
