Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Deep River

Chris was a fantastic host! First of all he was so responsive, always checking in on us everyday, and very helpful and communicative with recommendations and quick answers. Second of all, the property. It is so gorgeous. Definitely worth the price, and maybe even better! We loved our stay, we will definitely be coming back soon. Definitely check it out if you’re considering an Airbnb in the area. 10/10 experience!

This house is in a quiet safe neighborhood, 30 mins from Montauk Beach and half the cost for 5 guests. Overall we loved it! The host recommended restaurants which is helpful. When we-reported a problem, someone was there to fix it the next morning. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of outdoor seating, comfy couches. Strange full bathroom cotton curtains a bit long and no liner, difficult to dry. The bath off the master bedroom the floor floods because curtain in there is lined but a bit short. Gotta keep a towel down. Garage is wonderful, laundry in basement handy. Decks off bedroom and patio off dining room both lovely. are beautiful lovely place to stay.

What a lovely place! Kitchen was a pleasure to use. Location was great for wineries and Greenport restaurants/bars. Spacious.

The Farmhouse was very cozy and clean. Communication was great and Chelsea was very accommodating, as I was traveling with two small children and the schedules can be tricky. The property was beautiful and the house had everything we needed. The only thing that could be improved would be curtains in the bedrooms. As soon as the sun came up you are up. Very bright. But overall I would stay here again.

Maria was an amazing host! So caring, responsive, and proactive about everything, from checking in to recommendations! The place was beautiful, especially the lake in the back. It's in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and close to all the beaches and great restaurants nearby. Overall, it was an amazing stay, I would absolutely stay there again! :)

Sambo’s place was such a great find. I needed a quiet, comfortable place away from my small children to recover from major surgery. The house couldn’t have been more perfect for me and my nurse bestie to spread out during g our almost 2 week convalescence. Although the house is technically in East Hartford, it is just over the border from Glastonbury with all of its wonderful restaurants and shops. Super comfortable beds, and great tv options for a staycation. Would be ideal for families too.

Carol’s Bloomfield house has become part of our family Christmas tradition and will be for years to come we hope! The house is beautiful and has everything we need. Carol and Sal are amazing hosts! Thank you!!

Absolutely pristine, it offered a perfect blend of comfort and beauty. It is clear that the property is meticulously maintained, spotless, elegant, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and every amenity was provided. The best part is the area! WOW. We walked into Mystic at least twice a day and had lovely morning strolls along the water. The back deck is perfect for coffee and pm cocktails. I highly recommend it. We'll be back.

Safe, efficient and convenient to most of West Hartford and Hartford. My stay was for 4 weeks and it felt like home. Middle floor apartment so some noise from above but otherwise quiet place in a quiet neighborhood. Off street parking, keyless entry to building and apt. Large kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Bright interior. Its a early 1900s house so it has quirks but well overcome by good appliances and just right amount of furniture.

The location and comfort can’t be beat. We stayed at the professor’s flat for a full semester while I was teaching at Yale and it was perfect for a couple and a cat. We even had a couple of friends visit and stay over comfortably during that time. We truly lived in the place like it was our home, because it felt like it: it was cozy, and despite a smaller kitchen than we’re used to, it was well equipped, and we were able to cook a lot and even host dinner parties. It’s very conveniently located to everything in New Haven/the East Rock neighborhood & we walked everywhere. Also very convenient to the freeway. A parking spot was included in our rent as well. Remy, Hilary and Sal were always responsive and ready to take care of anything that needed attention. Remy also gave us and all the tenants extras like baked goods, and samples of her great Italian cooking on occasion (around the holidays). They also gave us fire logs for the fireplace we used our entire last month in town.

A very nice place to relax. My reason was because of work in the area. But I was delighted with the place. 100% recommended.

Paris is a wonderful host. His property and cottage is a perfect retreat for two. Charming accommodations with a beautiful view and an easy walk to town. We’ll be back soon! Angelo C.

This was my second stay in less than two months at Wilson’s place. My family and I enjoy the ability to park our rental, separate TV watching spaces for each bedroom, and separate sleeping areas. The house is now my home away from home after staying at several others since bringing my daughter to college here; but Wilson & Co-host Jaime are amazing! Always super responsive not automated messages, very clean and comfortable living space, and well Stocked with key essentials and good location off 95 making it easy to go to Little Italy, Yale shops and well known tourist sites and restaurants. Corner house off busy street but at night you hear nothing. Great window coverings and having 2 full baths are essential. I highly recommend this space and the great hosts. This is my new home away from home after a second successful trip!

Our Christmas stay at Janice’s was perfect! My partner and I needed a place to stay while visiting family for holidays. The suite was very clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the not one but TWO gas fireplaces! Janice also had a small artificial Christmas tree in the living room which made it so festive and the perfect place for us to rest and watch Christmas movies after days with family. The bed was comfortable and had four pillows with extras in the closet along with extra blankets, an iron and board. Janice was flexible with our check in time and very friendly. The only negative we could think of was that we’d love to have a full kitchen and the suite just has a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven, but we knew that from the description and it was fine for a short stay. We’d love to stay here again. Really perfect for this trip.

If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would! I love Airbnbs, and have stayed in them in many states. The Charming Cottage in Chester, CT ranks among the very best experiences. The cottage has two huge bedrooms huge, but cozy. All the other rooms are big, but cozy as well. I loved all of the windows and natural light. I am an older woman, staying alone, and Bridget looked out for me the whole time. Perks: lots of stuff in the fridge and pantry (don't buy butter!) tithe fireplace is ready, and has both kindling and logs. The area around the cottage is woodsy and lovely. Throw blankets on the sofa. Lots of books. Dining room with solar panels. A short walk to the quaint little town of Chester and the Goodspeed theaters, (which is why I was there.) Bridget communicated rapidly and was incredibly sweet. I'll be back, and I'll reserve plenty early to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay!! The lock was stuck upon check-in but the host called us (it was the middle of the night) and walked us through getting it open. She was so friendly and helpful! The place itself was perfect. Great kitchen, sleeping areas, clean and wonderfully decorated. Even with the lock issue, this was a 5 star stay and we have absolutely no complaints. We had 3 people and we felt like we had plenty of room. It’s also right down the street from the Mohegan Sun!!! So perfect place to stay if you want to visit the resort. You can’t get a better location. Also very quiet area.

This is our second time booking this rental and are very happy with the place, the host and location is amazing. We will try to book the same place again, next time we are staying in the area.

We had a great stay at George’s house. He was very responsive to our questions. Our kids loved the heated outdoor pool! They also loved that there was a playground right across the street from the house. We had a great time!

What a beautiful, serene, relaxing spectacular setting! We've been to many Airbnb's but Natalie's place really stood out. The house was so well decorated, well stocked with every thoughtful amenity you can think of which helped create such a welcoming feeling. Everything was impeccably clean and comfortable. There's nothing quite like going to sleep with the sound of the Brooks that run through the property and nature humming away in the background and then waking up and realizing it wasn't a dream and you proceed to sit on a porch right next to the brook to eat breakfast. Another porch up by the incredibly spacious and beautiful master bedroom suite is situated with a masterful view of sunset and a pond (which during the day we kayaked in with our kids with kayaks provided). The pool is unique and so impressively designed and landscaped to blend into the surrounding woods. My kids enjoyed the well kept tennis court. Natalie was incredibly responsive, welcoming and courteous.

Aimee’s house on Shelter Island was the perfect getaway for Thanksgiving. The home is warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The location is serene and peaceful, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Aimee was a fantastic host—responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

This home is great for a family or two. Wonderful items in the large yard for children to play in, on and zip along. The side screened in porch is great for morning coffee or evening hangout. A chilly night, the gas fireplace is easy to work and adds a level of warmth to the great sitting area.

This was the perfect getaway for a girls trip. The villa is very cute and clean. We celebrated my friends milestone birthday with an overnight at the villa and then the next day at the spa, it was perfect. We arrived after a snowstorm and Nicole was very accommodating to let us check in early and was a perfect host. We will definitely rent the villa again. The villa was wonderful.
