Beautiful BNB between Airport & Sea

Very clean home. The house is in a convenient location, it is on a busy road so can be a little noisy. However, we were very comfortable and it was a great stay.

Casa Del Mar with the Best views in Encounter Bay

LeanneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Inspiring decor and surroundings. Casa del mar was a gorgeous getaway for my family and I with all the essential amenities. We spent the weekend admiring the interiors, layout and view. There’s lot to do, we played pool, finska, puzzles, went on walks and watched movies at night. We hope to be back again

Waves & Whispers. Beach side home.

Anna Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was my second stay at Miranda’s place and it’s officially my favourite beach getaway spot. Everything was just as lovely as I remembered: clean, calm, and so thoughtfully set up. You can tell a lot of care goes into the space, and it has that perfect mix of comfort and style. The location is amazing too, just a short stroll to the beach. Can’t wait to come back again.

The Anchorage - Close to Beach - Great for Groups

ShannonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great location, walking distance to coffee and the beach! Good backyard for the little one and dog! Shed full of toys and activities to use! Only one small comment - there is only 1 a/c. Located in kitchen, kept the area icy cold, however front bedroom was quite hot on a 35c day. Thanks again!

Your guide to Deep Creek

All About Deep Creek

Deep Creek is located on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula overlooking Backstairs Passage, with distant views of Kangaroo Island. It’s a place where stunning, rugged scenery and spectacular landscape meet the roaring ocean, and a favourite among visitors who want to immerse themselves in nature. The area sits on the edge of Deep Creek Conservation Park, known for its old-growth stringybark forest and home to an array of native wildlife. The rural landscape, lush valley, and proximity to the Southern Ocean offer ample opportunity for hiking, fishing, birdwatching, snorkeling, swimming, and walking.

The more adventurous can choose from two four-wheel-drive tracks for sweeping coastal views to the east and west, deep descents, and rocky paths leading to pristine, sandy beaches. Nearby Encounter Marine Park offers a chance to spot dolphins or hike to secluded beaches for a relaxing day in the sun. Located just 100 kilometres from Adelaide, Deep Creek is a popular day trip for residents of the city.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Deep Creek

Autumn is an ideal time to book your Deep Creek accommodations, with cooler days and minimal rainfall perfect for hiking the Goondooloo Ridge Walk and admiring spectacular views of Backstairs Passage. June, July, and August are the wettest months of the year, but winter is an excellent time for those willing to brave the rain to see thundering waterfalls in Deep Creek Conservation Park. Cool weather and breathtaking natural light make for great forest walks and watching the sunrise and sunset.

Spring is a popular time, with comfortable temperatures and drier weather, making outdoor activities a breeze. September to October is the end of whale migration season, when you may see southern right whales and even sperm whales, humpbacks, or blue whales from atop Cobbler Hill's stunning vantage points. Summer brings lots of sunshine, ideal for exploring Blowhole Beach or visiting one of the local wineries.

Top things to do in Deep Creek

Blowhole Beach

This stunning beach on the western edge of Deep Creek Conservation Park is popular among surfers, fishers, and families. Hike to the clear, turquoise water from Cobbler Hill picnic area and take in the views of Kangaroo Island in the distance. Be aware, though — it's a steep climb back up. If you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, you can drive the steep track to Blowhole Beach car park.

Kangaroo Island

Located 13 kilometres off the coast of Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island is a nature lover's dream with diverse native wildlife, dramatic coastlines, and bountiful farmland. Stroll along Seal Bay, ride the sand dunes of Little Sahara, and learn about the therapeutic benefits of lavender at Emu Bay.

Deep Creek Waterfall Hike

Incorporating part of the famous Heysen Trail, this hike lets you enjoy a moderate four-kilometre loop from Tent Rock Road to the year-round Deep Creek Waterfall — although the strongest flow is during winter and after heavy rainfall. The well-maintained walking path features beautiful wildflowers and expansive views of the ocean beyond the densely wooded hills.
