Luxury Tudor with Pool

DeannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tom and Petra’s home is absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home away from home. The space is incredibly generous, with massive rooms, super comfy beds, and a spacious living and dining area—perfect for relaxing and spending time with friends. We especially loved the interactive speaker system and, of course, the amazing pool! It’s an ideal stay for a large group, and having the option of a third bathroom in the Pilates studio was a fantastic bonus. Tom and Petra were wonderful hosts—communicative, helpful, and always responsive. The only thing to note for future guests is that while there isn’t a sofa lounge for a 7th guest, there is a spare mattress available. That said, this place is a solid 10/10, and we’d absolutely stay again!

RURAL GETAWAY. Currency Hills Retreat

MeredithRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful couple of nights at Nat's place! It was quiet, relaxing, private and just what we needed while we had two full on days looking at properties in the area! We loved the birds, cows, the whole laid back vibe. The cabin had everything we needed, bbq'd one night, and a very comfy bed. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again (though hopefully we will be living in the area soon!)

Olley's Place

DebraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We are a family of 9, Grandparents, our children and grandchildren, we had plenty of room, lots of comfortable beds to choose from, all the mattresses are good quality. Plenty of indoor and outdoor chairs to accommodate us and more if needed. Air conditioner, worked really well as we had a day of 41, also fans in the bedrooms as extra. Loved the shutters, as l love a dark room. The river/marina view is lovely, looks like mostly holiday homes, so it was very peaceful, not many were occupied. Kitchen had everything you could need, spotlessly clean, that includes the whole house. We will definitely stay again when we are down that way and l would highly recommend Ollysi Place, beautiful ❤️

Beachside Family Holiday House

MattRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Lynette's home in Glenelg was a very pleasant stay. It accommodated myself and three other friends perfectly. Close to shops, bars and the beach everything you need in short walking distance. Neighbourhood was nice and the house clean and tidy with towels and everything provided. Check in was very easy. Would definitely stay again if we plan another golf trip to Adelade.

Beautiful BNB between Airport & Sea

Very clean home. The house is in a convenient location, it is on a busy road so can be a little noisy. However, we were very comfortable and it was a great stay.

La Brisa. Historic cottage, sea view

LindyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a wonderful 3 days at Deb's cottage. Beautiful surroundings, close to the water and local eateries. The cottage was as described. Everything we needed was available. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of old style furniture. We loved listening to the many birds who visited the garden. The bathroom is modern with good amenities. We enjoyed breakfast in the dining room overlooking the water. The walls are decorated with a mixture of art and the whole place has a wonderful relaxing feel. Nights were kept cosy sitting in front of the combustion heater. Deb has done a great job providing a welcoming homely place to stay in American River. Highly recommend for a couple looking for a tranquil retreat. Thank you for making our first trip to Kangaroo Island a time to remember

Escape - Middleton Point Beach House

WayneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This house is more like a family home. It was large enough for our entire family, from grandkids to great grandma to enjoy a holiday together, without getting under each others feet. It has a flexible layout, with several areas for small groups to relax in private or for all to come together for meals and games. The house is extremely well appointed, with everything you need at your fingertips. We had 9 people of varying ages and expectations and everyone was thoroughly impressed with the facilities and convenience of this house. Its a credit to Greg the owner. We will be back again!! Thank you!

Your guide to Deep Creek

All About Deep Creek

Deep Creek is located on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula overlooking Backstairs Passage, with distant views of Kangaroo Island. It’s a place where stunning, rugged scenery and spectacular landscape meet the roaring ocean, and a favourite among visitors who want to immerse themselves in nature. The area sits on the edge of Deep Creek Conservation Park, known for its old-growth stringybark forest and home to an array of native wildlife. The rural landscape, lush valley, and proximity to the Southern Ocean offer ample opportunity for hiking, fishing, birdwatching, snorkeling, swimming, and walking.

The more adventurous can choose from two four-wheel-drive tracks for sweeping coastal views to the east and west, deep descents, and rocky paths leading to pristine, sandy beaches. Nearby Encounter Marine Park offers a chance to spot dolphins or hike to secluded beaches for a relaxing day in the sun. Located just 100 kilometres from Adelaide, Deep Creek is a popular day trip for residents of the city.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Deep Creek

Autumn is an ideal time to book your Deep Creek accommodations, with cooler days and minimal rainfall perfect for hiking the Goondooloo Ridge Walk and admiring spectacular views of Backstairs Passage. June, July, and August are the wettest months of the year, but winter is an excellent time for those willing to brave the rain to see thundering waterfalls in Deep Creek Conservation Park. Cool weather and breathtaking natural light make for great forest walks and watching the sunrise and sunset.

Spring is a popular time, with comfortable temperatures and drier weather, making outdoor activities a breeze. September to October is the end of whale migration season, when you may see southern right whales and even sperm whales, humpbacks, or blue whales from atop Cobbler Hill's stunning vantage points. Summer brings lots of sunshine, ideal for exploring Blowhole Beach or visiting one of the local wineries.

Top things to do in Deep Creek

Blowhole Beach

This stunning beach on the western edge of Deep Creek Conservation Park is popular among surfers, fishers, and families. Hike to the clear, turquoise water from Cobbler Hill picnic area and take in the views of Kangaroo Island in the distance. Be aware, though — it's a steep climb back up. If you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, you can drive the steep track to Blowhole Beach car park.

Kangaroo Island

Located 13 kilometres off the coast of Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island is a nature lover's dream with diverse native wildlife, dramatic coastlines, and bountiful farmland. Stroll along Seal Bay, ride the sand dunes of Little Sahara, and learn about the therapeutic benefits of lavender at Emu Bay.

Deep Creek Waterfall Hike

Incorporating part of the famous Heysen Trail, this hike lets you enjoy a moderate four-kilometre loop from Tent Rock Road to the year-round Deep Creek Waterfall — although the strongest flow is during winter and after heavy rainfall. The well-maintained walking path features beautiful wildflowers and expansive views of the ocean beyond the densely wooded hills.
