Michelle is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. So welcoming. Our stay was for a wedding nearby and I could not recommend Cairn cottage highly enough. The views are absolutely fantastic and I would not hesitate to book this gem again.

We've just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at Carmen's beautiful cottage. We had our dog and he loved the large fully enclosed gardens. Carmen was a very friendly, communicative host who suggested a great riverside walk which my wife and I enjoyed as well as doggo. The cottage was perfectly placed being out of the way, but only 20 minutes easy walk from Sanquhar. Can't recommend it (and Carmen) enough!

What can I say other than this little cottage was out of this world! I have stayed at many air bnb’s and this was the best by far. I live in a rural cottage so this was a home from home. I took my 2 dogs with me and they were welcomed by a bed with super bedding and towels, dog biscuits, a toy and food and water bowls. The location is stunning and for the first time in my life saw the Northern Lights. The garden is fabulous, secure and with 3 different seating areas and a fire pit. My bedroom was stunning, the bed and bedding was luxurious at its finest..better than Claridges or the Savoy. The kitchen was so well equipped with welcoming bread, butter, milk, orange juice and eggs, locally sourced too. Adrienne was incredibly accommodating and around if needed. My only criticism was that I couldn’t stay longer than my 2 nights, I will be back as soon as I can to have a week there, I’d be happy just being in the cottage and admiring the view. It really is a beautiful place to stay.

We had a thoroughly relaxing stay. We sometimes feel a little like Alex Polizzi when staying in Air b & B’s as we become annoyed with a solo dishwasher tablet and solitary toilet roll . The attention to detail in this cottage is exemplary . You could produce a banquet with the kitchen equipment, and all appliances were really easy to use . The surroundings are idyllic and the leash free dog field is very welcome. Elizabeth and Andrew should be congratulated on producing one of the best Air bnb's we have ever stayed in.
