Kid-friendly holiday rentals in County Cavan

had a great stay here and a wonderful surprise for my sister on arrival with prosecco chilling and chocolates which was very thoughtful it was exactly what my sister pictured and she was chuffed they even were offering lifts from carrick if we got stuck! we also appreciated the late check out!!! brilliant stay my parents already looking to go!

Great house for a family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children). Daniel was very responsive to our queries and even put up a little Christmas tree for us 🎄

We had a lovely 2 night stay for a wedding this past weekend. The house was beautiful, the pictures dont do it justice. Clean and peaceful and a 5 minute walk to Lough Rynn castle. Stephen was a very helpful host and gave clear instructions with all the information we needed. Would highly recommend.

This is one of those rare places where it truly overexceeds expectations. Beautiful, peaceful house in a lovely remote area. Couldn’t recommend it more, and Rosina was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Thanks Ciara and Declan. House was lovely for our midterm break with the kids. Clean, warm, everything we needed. For anyone coming to stay, make sure to bring your own wood etc for the stove in the sitting room. Very snuggy. There's a great kids playground at the GAA club 4 mins drive away. You're in quite a rural area, so it's lovely and peaceful.

Fabulous apartment it has everything you need. Very comfortable and welcoming. There was a storm the night before check in and Margaret was in contact with updates. The power had been off but by the time we got there all was restored and Margaret had the heating on which gave a very homely, cosy feel when we walked in. Everything about our stay was perfect we would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Margaret for all your help.

We had a great stay at Joanne's house. Space for 3 cars inside thw secure gate. House nice and warm. 2 full bathrooms. Very functional kitchen and dining area. Really nice liverroom. Super comfortable beds. Nice quiet area. 500 meters to town, restaurants and bars. 500 meters to Virginia Park Lodge Hotel. We hope to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at michaels house. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was also lovely and warm and cosy. Its in a beautiful little village and was close to other towns that we could drive to or even catch the train. Michael came to visit us on arrival and qas very friendly and informative. We would definitely love to stay here again! Thanks fpr having us

The Dream Barn is a fine place in a very quiet village, but with the basics near to hand. The view is soothing. While it may seem cluttered, that means there's everything you might need and more. Jim truly makes this beyond a pleasant retreat with his hospitality and quick response to concerns. Even when the power went out due to Storm Eowyn, Jim worked tirelessly to ensure my comfort.

We really enjoyed our stay. Phelim met us on arrival and he was extremely helpful over the course of our stay. Including greeting us with fresh scones on arrival. It was a good location for wedding we attended in Cavan town. We would highly recommend and would stay again.

We had the perfect weekend at Aishling’s place, quiet, peaceful, had everything we needed and the place was spotless, Aishling’s communication was top notch, we really felt like she cared about our stay. Would definitely recommend Toddy's Hideaway for anyone just looking to get away from it all. Brian and Arletta.

Norbert greeted us and was very friendly and showed us where everything was and added bonus of ingredients to make a fry up. The place was lovely and clean very comfortable beds fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and tumble dryer. Couple of minutes walk to pub and convinence store and about 10 min drive to town. Highly recommended staying here for peace and quiet.

Lovely annex in a great rural location. Michael and Nicola are great hosts, and I would recommend staying there to anyone.

Great place. Owner greeted us. He had snacks and food for the morning. Would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic experience and Sharon’s hospitality went way beyond our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to spend time at the cottage. Sharon and her whole family are very welcoming, helpful and generous with their time and the nice extras including lovely fresh flowers, welcome pack etc.

We had a wonderful two day break at The Pod. Maria was a great host. Met us at the gate and showed us around, gave us hot tub instructions and was just a call away if we had any questions. Molly the new pup 🐶 popped down and loves belly rubs, they have a pond with 3 🦆 ducks. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Binoculars also so you could look for miles. So peaceful. Fully fitted kitchen, clean bathroom, great shower. Comfy bed. Log 🔥 burning stove for the chilly nights. Hot tub was just so relaxing. Robes and sliders were great. Thanks Maria, Wayne and Molly.

Gerry and Josephine were extremely welcoming and friendly. The apartment was very clean and we really appreciated the cereal boxes, brown bread and fresh milk being left for us. A great host.
