Holiday rentals with a hot tub in County Cavan

We had a wonderful stay at Sheelin Huts (Blue Hut). The morning views were stunning, with no houses nearby, letting us enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. Gary was a fantastic host—always available and quick to help. He also recommended visiting some fascinating historical tombs and churches. The hut was perfect, equipped with everything we needed, including milk, cereals, wine glasses, and cheese knives. The bed was cozy with plenty of pillows, and the TV above it was great for watching Netflix. The bathroom was spotless, and the hut’s design and furnishings were beautiful, clean, and fresh. The hut was warm, and the weather was ideal. Nearby pubs, especially Farrellys, were great for food and drinks. Gary’s farm and cows added to the charm, though we didn’t have time to visit them. As residents of Dundalk, this was the perfect peaceful getaway, and we didn’t want to leave. We’re already looking forward to returning!

Sabina and David were very welcoming hosts throughout our stay. On arrival they talked us through and showed us where everything was located. They were always quickly responsive with messages during our stay. The cottage was amazing, and they included many little touches such as a homemade bread loaf and bottle of Prosecco, which really added to our stay. The amenities in the spa were perfect for our stay. The hot tub, sauna and yoga room were the perfect escape from reality, which allowed us to relax fully on our weekend away. We throughly enjoyed our opportunity to take the kayaks out on Lough Sillan and explore a beautiful part of the country. Overall our stay over exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend this to our family and friends, and we look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Sabina and Dave!!

Erica’s stunning lodge is amazing for a weekend away to relax! You can really unwind and settle in. Erica herself is so easy to communicate with and always very fast to respond. The place was spotless and really clean. Hot tub was so fabulous! Would recommend 💗

The accommodation was lovely. The pool table was excellent fun. Nice open space with lovely views out the back. Kitchen was nice and big and the air fryer was a nice bonus.

The entire process was relatively easy from checking in to communication with our host. We had one minor issue with the shower but Barry was a message or call away to assist. The communication was brilliant throughout our stay. As for the venue, it was nothing short of stunning. The environment is tranquil and peaceful with a beautiful garden / forest setting. The evenings are made for enjoying a BBQ, warming up in the jacuzzi and enjoying a glass of good red wine on the patio. It's an amazing get away and well worth the price.... We will definitely look at a return visit..... 😀

Paula’s home was beautiful and just as the photos 😊 My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay- plenty of amenities, games, the hot tub was amazing and views beautiful at morning & night! The entrance way is a bit steep going up and down but not a hassle for us. We had no issues with Paula’s BnB and would definitely recommend! Clear communication with Paula and she is definitely on hand if any issues were to occur. Thank you for having us!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! This gorgeous 2-bedroom lodge had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing countryside getaway. The highlight for us was the hot tub overlooking the lake: what a perfect spot to unwind and take in the stunning views. The living space also offered incredible scenery, making it a joy to simply sit and relax indoors. We loved the charming old record player and the Nespresso machine, which added extra touches of comfort and fun. However, the real star of our stay was the barbecue. We used it every day, enjoying the experience of cooking on the open fire—it truly added to the magic of our trip. A couple of practical notes for future guests: there’s no microwave, and the fridge/freezer is quite small, so it’s a good idea to plan meals and groceries accordingly. A huge thank you to Karl and Claire for their warm hospitality we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this little gem for anyone seeking a tranquil escape.
