Starboard Ocean Villa is situated on the beachfront of Matavera. It has stunning sunrises and ocean views, both of which can be enjoyed from your very own extensive outdoor deck and 18m infinity pool. You have direct access to the beach which is quite rocky, however a large sandy area on the upper part of the beach has been cleared for your enjoyment and relaxation. The lagoon in front of the villa is very shallow. Muri is about a 6 minute drive and is a good spot for swimming and snorkelling.

We arrived late at night so could not see our surroundings, when we woke up wow what a place loved being on the beach so private, peaceful. I would stay here again in a heart beat, there was nothing I didn’t like. You definitely need the aircon as so warm . We met with the hosts family who were so helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to come back again…..

Unless seeking luxury I don’t know why one might ever need more than this. Lagoon runs right to the deck but for a ribbon of white sand. Turtles and fish and clear water make for beautiful swimming and snorkeling in front of the house. Almost everything we loved that wasn’t at the location itself was close by. Friendly and relaxed hosts. A beautiful week. Will return.

Genuinely the best Airbnb any of us have stayed in! Gorgeous home. All the amenities you could possibly need. We stayed for 8 nights and wanted for nothing. Well stocked pantry. Amazing amount of towels and linen to use. Comfy beds. Good air-con. Amazing location!! The lagoon just outside is perfect for snorkelling and swimming, we would often have turtles swimming past us! The Avaavaroa passage is just to the right but it’s easy to stay away from. Next door is Sea Pace turtle tours, which is an amazing company to go and see turtles with. They helped us navigate the passage and were very friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing place to stay, brilliant value for money, couldn’t recommend it more!!

Mathilda is kind and helpfull, she found us a lagoon tour on Sunday and arranged us the hire of bikes ( normal and electric) The bungalow correspond to the description Bike, scooter or a car are needed to visit the island , as the accommodation is 11 km from the airport. This bungalow is in a beautiful location with an excellent lagoon aspect.The hosts are unbelievable and give service a new meaning. As an example, my wife had an issue with the mattress and we mentioned it to Vaea to see if perhaps she had a possible solution. We never expected her to source a new mattress on this small island, but that is exactly what she did and that very night, my wife had a great nights sleep. Thank you, thank you, thank you Vaea for going truly above and beyond in your response to this issue. Additionally, please take the opportunity to book a private lagoon / snorkeling cruise with her husband Marokii. You will not be disappointed by his service, insights and commentary along the way. They both made our visit to Aitutaki a most memorable experience! Cheers

The apartment, amenities, and view of the beach were amazing, and the responsiveness of the hosts was always extremely quick. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was a welcomed touch. The host helped organise Ei’s for our arrival and the apartment was close by to some of the best restaurants and activities on the island. We will definitely stay here again.

Me and my family enjoyed staying at Anna’s Airbnb, very spacious, right by the sea, although you can’t swim there as it’s rocky they provide reef shoes, you can watch the sunrise or listen to the waves crash is peaceful and there is a beach not far from the Airbnb if you want to swim. Vilis burger and Kaps gas station was a short walk which had almost everything you need. Outdoor shower was convenient. The amount of towels were good too. I would say the house is really hot as there’s no AC but there’s fans & the breeze from the beach. I did find there was a lot of ants which is expected but other than that the place was a 10/10 & my family really enjoyed being there, we didn’t want to leave 😢 Thank you Anna 🌺
