Our stay at this extraordinary stone cottage was nothing short of enchanting. Tucked away between an ancient woodland and a gently flowing stream, just beyond the charming village of Courtmacsherry, this place feels like something out of a fairytale. The moment you step inside, you are transported to a world where time slows, history whispers through the walls, and nature embraces you in its peaceful solitude. With over 200 years of history, this cottage was once home to the village blacksmith, and its very stones seem to hold the echoes of the past. Even more special, it has been lovingly kept in the same family for over 50 years, filled with generations of memories, laughter, and stories. Every corner tells a tale—whether it’s the warm, rustic beams overhead, the soft glow of the fire on a quiet evening, or the gentle sound of the stream just outside the door. John, the host, has created something truly remarkable here

We had such a lovely stay in the lodge, the log fire is wonderful and Lucy had lit it for our arrival in the storm, we had everything we needed and the lodge was comfortable and private. We would definitely come again, thank you, Lucy.
