Cabin holiday rentals in China Lake

We had a great time, nice tucked away cabin, hot tub was fantastic, and the space is super cute. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. The cabin was great! Cozy and private with a hot tub available anytime. They supply a bundle of wood for the fire and have a propane grill for use. Fantastic spot for a weekend getaway.

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

We had the most amazing time! Such a romantic experience! Everything was clean, felt very at home, and cozy! Loved the jacuzzi despite the freezing temps outside! Very relaxing getaway! We would love to come back in the future!

We cozied in for a couple of days, highlights were playing board games and the hot tub on the deck. Pretty pond just steps away. The heart of the cabin is the back deck.

The location is magical . Loved waking up and seeing the scenery. The trail was really well maintained given all the snow. We've had a wonderful hike to the pond seeing only nature, not one person on the trail. It was fun stopping and trying to identify all kinds of animal tracks along the path. We are thinking of coming back in the spring or summer. Thank you for muffins Toby and Peter!!!

We had a wonderful visit at Caitlin’s cozy cabin! Loved watching the sunrise in the morning from the front porch and winding down with a glass of wine in the evening outside. Caitlin and Jackie were both very responsive and great hosts - will be staying here again!

It was exactly what we were looking for as a little weekend get away. It was fairly quiet and in the woods just enough for privacy. The fire pit was great and we just really enjoyed our time there. Would definitely stay again. Only thing notable was the grill did not have a propane tank which was okay to us because we had our own little camping grill but if you plan to use the one there, just a heads up!

I stayed here with my partner and family. This place was way better than I expected. Before we got there we were worried that it might be cold. They have HEATED FLOORS so fancy! We stayed nice and warm. I was also worried about the water because it is well but it is drinkable and we had no problems with it even with a big group using it. It doesn’t have any smell. The house comes with way more than any other Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Anything you could need in a kitchen they have. Same with the bathroom they had plenty of towels and cloths plus bathroom spray which is nice when you are sharing it with others. This place is very kid friendly. They had plenty of games and toys. They have a gate so no little ones can go upstairs on their own, covers on the outlet. The bedrooms were perfect, master was huge and ton of privacy at night. I would keep in mind if you are bringing little ones is that this place is decorated very nicely so we did have to move reachable decorations away from them.

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

Kim's place felt like camping out, in a great way. We love the little three stringed dulcimer and cooking hot dogs on the campfire. The beds were comfortable! Thank you, Kim!

A very cozy spot in a very beautiful spot. Liz was incredibly responsive and flexible. All needs were met during our stay. No WiFi was not an issue since cell service was very good. A great spot if you’re looking to do snow sports in the surrounding area.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to stay. Craig’s was diligent, kind, and helpful. I believe that when we are in not so ideal circumstances our true character surfaces and more often then not our ability to do what it right is in question. Craig rose to the occasion. Hopefully our paths will cross in the future!

The perfect little cozy cottage for a quick winter weekend getaway. The location was great, instructions for check in were clear, and overall this was a great find. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was as advertised, location and accommodations. Nice and peaceful, isolated and dark at night. Bring your head lamps and flashlights and enjoy a great night’s sleep and rustic lounging around accommodations.

Such an amazing private, quiet place with breathtaking views! If your one with nature then this is the place to go, from its off the grid living ( no power and no running water) then this is a palace! Wood stove heating that keep us toasty during the Valentines weekend storm of 2025! Will definitely be returning in the future!!

If you are looking for a perfect Waldenesque retreat for a few days THIS IS IT. Perfect for those who appreciate the beautiful quiet of life on a marine estuary, who are looking to camp-glamp without intrusion, yet also not ready for a truly remote location (you can get to the charming town of Bath in 15 minutes!). I sincerely hope to return.

Great place and stay! Great hosts. My family (5) and my brother's family (5) rented 2 of the cabins that shared a back yard. This was a perfect setup for two families who want to vacation together but have some separation / private space. A generally quiet location. The cabins were beautiful and authentically Adirondack. There is a "wow" factor when you walk into either cabin. They had everything we needed. The yard was great for a firepit, and games. The HOA beach is a very short drive ~3 min?, or a long walk - maybe ~15 min? (wouldn't recommend this if you're carrying anything), and a really nice setting/view with sandy beach, moored boats, and a nice dock to swim to in a roped off area. Very protected. We could walk or short drive to downtown Booth Bay for all the shops, etc. - great. The botanical gardens were a close drive, and incredible - great for kids also. We even did a ~1hr drive to visit Camden one day - really nice. Overall a great stay and I'd recommend!

We had a very restful three days at Rod’s lovely cabin. This is a fantastic place to stay for those seeking to experience the midcoast area for what it is (without all the tourist traps and hustle and bustle that you’ll find in Bar Harbor area). Don’t sleep on this gem!

Andrea’s cabin was exactly what I needed to relax and reconnect with nature. It was extremely clean, beautiful, modern and had all the amenities. We enjoyed cozying up to the wood stove and going for walks. She was very responsive and helpful. This is the best BNB I have experienced. My family will definitely be back.
