The cottage was well suited to a weekend away from the city. It was quite peaceful, situated amongst the farmland. The cottage is a good size for 2-4 people, with all the amenities you could need. The hosts were quite responsive and friendly, and provided a lot of information, about both the accommodation and the local area. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the spa bath was a nice touch. The town isn't too far away at all (about 8 minutes drive), so you can get food quite easily, or prepare it at the cottage. It was great to have access to the pool and tennis court. The pool was set a bit too cold for us, so we only used it once (despite the 30+ degree weather). We originally planned to bring our dog, but changed our mind, as they cannot be left inside, or outside (unless tied up). If there was some sort of enclosure outside, it might be easier for dog-owners who also want to go out for the day. The property is also quite high tech, with convenient keyless entry.

Great place to sit in the shade of a big oak tree after a hot cycle from Mansfield. Good stop over with crisp fresh linen and comfortable bed
