Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Catania

Staying at Carlo's house is a truly organic experience of what the Airbnb idea is. It is not a place focused on making money, but a real Italian home that allows you to feel the Italian atmosphere, people and their hospitality. The apartment is fantastically located - with a view of the historic city, and from the terrace you can watch the changing sea landscape all day long. The hosts make sure that you feel comfortable in their home. An additional advantage is the equipment of the fridge - we arrived late in the evening and did not have to worry about what to eat because Carlo and his parents made sure that our fridge was full (there was also the famous cake made of local ingredients!) Our dog was also delighted because he could run around the slopes of the vineyard and the hosts were very understanding. On the day of departure, the dog did not want to leave the apartment (just like us!) This is probably the best proof of this place. We will definitely be happy to come back!

Rosalba and her family members were extremely responsive, helpful, and accommodating. The location was absolutely breathtaking and her home was beautiful, comfortable, and made our time spent in Calabria so special! Thank you, Rosalba!

Chiara is an outstanding host, available above and beyond to assist as requested, at arrival, during the stay, and at departure, with excellent knowledge of the area. The house is directly facing the sea, with beautiful views, both from the day areas as well as from the bedrooms. Both areas have terraces looking at the sea and the terraced garden offers unique spaces from which to further enjoy the views and relax with some solitude if desired. The house was clean and bright, complete with all needed, has daily garbage pickup, etc. Although we were a full house, never felt crowded. Walking into town, along the sea, for morning cappuccino an added benefit. Villa "Eden" is a well-deserved name for Chiara's house!

Leonardo and his wife were extremely kind. The little touches provided on our arrival (huge basket of vegetables from the garden, jam, cupcakes from the area etc...) were very much appreciated. The environment of olive groves and fruit trees is very relaxing. The main typical villages of the region (Alberobello and its trullis, Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Monopoli) snt one mile from the house. A perfect stay. Thanks to Leonardo and his wife.

What stood out the most was, Chiara. She’s lovely! Kind, knowledgeable, happy to help, patient and basically a delight. She really made our stay with the right recommendations and friendly smile. We are very happy to have met her and have stayed at her family’s place- super clean, cozy, everything we needed.

This is a luxury gem hidden away in a tranquil location. The only minus off season was that most restaurants <30 minutes away were closed (October) otherwise this place is magic, clean, newly refurbished, has all necessary amenities, incredibly private and has excellent hosts and goat farmer neighbors ;)

We enjoyed our stay at Jacopos. The villa was neat and tidy with all the amenities as described. We were close to all the major shops and it was easy access to drive to other towns and tourist attractions. We had a relaxing stay and would stay here again.

The house is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature and with the most breathtaking 360 degree views. We encountered no noises in the roof cavity, we slept solidly during our 8 night stay. Being so remote is sometimes not without its challenges, firstly the road to the house is very off-road, which the listing states, with a 3 tonne Mercedes van it was challenging. The weight of the van combined with rain made it a treacherous drive & the gravel blew out one of our tyres. Just bad luck. The electricity is a little tricky to navigate. So avoid using the cooktop and oven at once, but once we worked out the eccentricities it felt like home. We had an issue with our van, it broke down in Scicli. Melissa was incredible, whilst not part of her job description, she leapt into action and found a mechanic to tow our van and get it repaired. The house is very well equipped with pantry basics, adequate toilet paper and cleaning products. Heating is great. A gem of a house and a 11 out of 10.

Lovely apartment in the center of Catania from which you can walk to all the attractions that this beautiful city offers. Conforms to the listing and even more spacious than it looks in the photo. We are in an ancient building, which on the one hand is a plus, but sometimes it can give some problems, but nothing so unbearable as to ruin the beautiful stay. Highly recommended

Valero's apartment was absolutely great. We would definitely stay there again. Great location, fun decoration, generous space and spotlessly clean.

Beautiful location minus the trash on the beach. The apartment was very clean and the host was very helpful and attentive.

The location of the property is excellent, with great park views. Great public transportation, including an airport bus right in front of the door. Grocery stores nearby. Restaurants for every taste. The host was very friendly and responded quickly and took care of everything we requested. He also volunteered about all kinds of events in the area related to Christmas.

We (one single, one couple) chose Fabio's place because we wanted to stay somewhere outside of Naples, that had car parking, and was within easy reach of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorento. We also wanted to stay in a building and neighbourhood with character, so that we felt we had a real Italian experience. Fabio's place ticked all the boxes. It was also close to the Leopardi train station that connects with the Naples metro, as well as Sorento which meant we didn't have to drive everywhere. We weren't disappointed. Fabio lives in an amazing historic building, and is renovating his apartment to reflect the area's heritage. We enjoyed coffee and Sfogliatelle in the cafe opposite, 50cm pizza at La Bruna just down the road, travelled into Naples on the light rail, and enjoyed views of Vesuvius and the coastline from our terrace in the evening. Fabio gave us lots of local information and checked in with us daily to make sure all was well. An interesting stay, in a very unique location.

We had an INCREDIBLE time at Helgas Place. It was absolutely beautiful and the perfect set up for my family of 6. We had everything we needed and you couldn’t beat the proximity to Porta Messina. Sabina was so lovely and immediately responsive. We LOVED the recommended driver Sebastian. Would recommend to anyone who asks!

So many great things to say! We had an incredible stay, and used this apartment as a base for visiting Positano, Amalfi, and Capri. Our vacation was fantastic and we would highly recommend this place to anyone! Location: The view is great! And everything is within easy walking distance. We never had to walk more than 20 minutes. Most things are downhill, so keep in mind that you must walk back uphill. Notably, the harbor is only a 10-15 minute walk away. Communication: All communication was done through the co-host David. He was very responsive and a huge help! He gave clear instructions and advice and was very flexible. He also helped by getting us a personal driver from and to Naples for a good price.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would definitely give it! Francesco is a MAGNIFICENT person. It's done a lot for us! I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The apartment is really very spacious, kept tidy and very clean. The location is great nearby you can find: bus stop, supermarket, nightlife street and much more. My boyfriend and I arriving from Verona, so since we didn't need directions from the airport to the accommodation, Francesco did not hesitate to help us, he gave us all the directions (shuttle and train). We will definitely return to Calabria thissummer and will definitely return to Francesco's apartment. Thank you for everything.

Five Star+ rating for Mariangela's listing. The home and grounds are beautiful, so relaxing, clean and private. Mariangela was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. The location is great, close to a number of other towns in the Puglia region and a grocery store near by. I definitely recommend this listing and look forward to the day we can come back and stay again. Bravo!!

Villa Gorna is an amazing location with fantastic hosts. The property is as described and photos are accurate. A lot of care was taken to put nice extra features. Orazio was very responsive and helpful, with offers available for tours etc. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

Villa Lenzo is located in a beautiful setting. Lots of privacy at the location. The village of Ferla can be reached in 5 minutes by car. There are a few restaurants and also a Coop supermarket. It's a must to have dinner at Quattro Canti. Traditional dishes and the pizza Etna is highly recommended! Furthermore, there is a bakery and butcher. In the direct surroundings you can find Pantalica. A beautiful area to take a walk between the rocks and along the river. But you don't necessarily have to go out. Enjoy the sun at the villa with the occasional splash in the beautiful swimming pool. There is also a large gas BBQ available to have a bite to eat at the villa. For the sports enthusiasts, there is a table tennis table. We thought it was a top location and the host Paola provided us with all kinds of information to make our stay even more pleasant. This place is big! It has lots of outside space - some areas are separated from each other so it is possible to get privacy from others in the group if you wish. Our group was two families (5 adults and 3 kids) and had more than enough space. There was an issue with the pool but it was sorted quickly and we were offered an alternative venue to sunbathe and swim for the day as compensation - which was fantastic. You could tell Carmine and the owners genuinely wanted us to have a good time and were very concerned when an amenity listed was not as it should have been. Everyone involved with the villa (the cleaners, host and owner) were very friendly. The local village is within walking distance and is very reasonable (both the restaurants and shops), the location is great for exploring (with a car) Sorrento, Conca Del Sogno Beach Club (strongly recommend) and Positano are all within a 30minute drive. We would thoroughly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about our stay here. I don’t even know where to begin because everything was fabulous. We had the best time and we already want to come back! The setting is stunning, the house is pristine, and the location is great. You are removed from the towns but it’s well located and you can do a lot of day trips to other towns and beaches. Check in was great and we communicated with Giulio for everything and he was very responsive. I’

Our family of 5 adults thoroughly enjoyed Emanuel’s house. Luana met us and helped us house information. The house was spacious and we had plenty of room. The area surrounding the house is amazingly beautiful. We didn’t use the work out room or sauna, but appreciate it being available. The kitchen is well equipped.

Just fantastic, highly recommend with a great host!
