Peaceful location, despite being next to a pub it was very quiet. Comfy bed and well equipped kitchen, everything you could want!

Very cosy, very comfortable. Flexible seating arrangements. Good advise on walking and driving directions for provisioning nearby.

The cottage was perfect, the pictures actually make it look smaller than it is, it was a great space and plenty big enough for a family, so for me and the husband it was great. It was clean and tidy and very welcoming. The area has a great joules pub just round the corner which served lovely food. If there was any constructive comments I could make, being really picky, slatted blinds in the bedrooms would be lovely rather than full ones as it was a beautiful sunny morning and it would have been lovely to let a little sunshine in and see the pretty church from bed but when you open the current blinds it’s very exposing! But that is me just making a suggestion not a negative comment. I was concerned about the bells being too loud but they didn’t disturb us at all, I didn’t wear ear plugs and I maybe heard them once or twice at night as I naturally stirred! Overall a gem of a place with lovely hosts! Would recommend to friends and family, actually I already have! ❤️

A total hidden gem. Karen's place was simply stunning. A stable conversion renovated to 5 star standard. Everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We were extremely lucky with the weather and so could benefit from being outside in the gorgeous garden. John very kindly provided a fire pit for us and overhead fairy lights completed the perfect evening. Totally peaceful with just the sound of the birds. If the weather is not so kind there is the very tastefully designed conservatory to take advantage of or the glass balcony off the living room upstairs which affords amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The village of Hodnet is a treat in itself, simply idyllic. A well resourced shop and pub. Karen's place felt like a very indulgent getaway and set us up perfectly to set off to walk the Sandstone Trail. I would highly recommend a stay.
