Barn accommodation in Buckinghamshire

Emma went out of her way to make us feel welcome, offering us lifts and leaving us a lovely breakfast despite having to leave for an early morning flight. The place is lovely and comfortable

We stayed for 14 very comfortable days at Meadow Home Cottage over Christmas 24. The space is ideal for a family of four and has everything we needed. Lovely and warm, fantastic shower, comfy beds and well kitted out kitchen. Lawrence was very welcoming and accommodating and we were very happy with our stay. Stanbridge is a great little village and we enjoyed a delicious roast at The Five Bells 🔔 The property is ideally located for Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Whipsnade etc and is very secure. All in all a very good place to stay and we would happily book again!

The accommodation is located on a campsite, which creates a very cozy atmosphere. There are plenty of walking opportunities with little to no road crossings. The accommodation was clean and fully equipped for 4 to 5 people. The beds are comfortable, as are the sofas and other furnishings. Communication with the host was excellent, and we also had a contact person from the campsite available. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed a much needed rest at The Oak Barn, warm and cosy. Beautifully decorated and set in wonderful grounds. Highly recommend and we will return! Alexander and Janey are excellent hosts.

We had the most wonderful stay at Jacky's place for a long weekend away! The place is just perfect, charming with a comfortable bed and a lovely living room and fireplace that was so cozy! Everything was very clean and Jacky had left us milk and juice on the fridge! The surrounding area is gorgeous, lovely walks just outside the front door, and the centre of town is only a 20 minute walk away. Jacky is a wonderful host - she gave us such a warm welcome and lit a fire for us every night! Thank you Jacky, hope to be back soon!

Jacky is a fantastic host. Super helpful, kind and lovely to deal with. Place was spotless and beautifully appointed. I ended up in slightly different ( even better ) accommodation from what I had booked but judging by where I stayed all her accommodation would be fabulous and very homely and welcoming.

Lovely cottage, good communications. Loved the welcome basket. For us, especially at Christmas, a dishwasher would have been more welcome than Washing machine. Thanks JTJ

We really enjoyed staying at The Barn and would like to stay again when visiting relatives who live under 3 miles away. The Barn was extremely comfortable and very relaxing although we didn't have much time to relax due to a busy weekend. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. Mary is an excellent host, she has furnished the accommodation beautifully and has provided everything a guest might need during their stay. She communicated regularly with us before our visit and was very proactive supplying us with all the information we might need. Mary was very kind and helpful to us when we had problems opening the gate. We would highly recommend The Barn.

We had a lovely winter break. Lots of considerate details such as firewood and kindling, excellent lighting/lamps options, a well-equipped kitchen, and thorough instructions for guests. The pool and hot-tub area are exceptionally impressive. And even with snow, the pool was still warm! We highly recommend this property.

Amazing Stay for a Romantic Getaway! We had an incredible time at this beautiful barn! The location was super private, making it the perfect escape for a Valentine’s Day surprise. The barn itself is a perfect mix of luxury and modern tech—everything was so thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was immaculate and fully equipped, which made cooking together a joy. My partner had such a lovely stay, and we both appreciated the peaceful, intimate atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique, high-end getaway with all the comforts of home! We can’t wait for our next stay here.

The farm was easy to find & Fiona welcomed us & showed us around. The property & courtyard are all stunning & just like the photos. The surrounding countryside is beautiful & we had a gorgeous walk from the property. The barn was very cosy & relaxing. Extremely comfy bed. We are looking forward to visiting again, exploring the area & trying some of the recommended pubs.

I can’t speak highly enough about this property and also Ashling, the Host. I arrived with my five-year-old daughter and we both loved the property. Ashling was an amazing host, not only personally checking us in, but also checking during our two day stay that everything was okay. Little touches like having a pint of milk in the fridge were just so incredibly thoughtful and also helpful. I will definitely be going back!

we loved our stay at The Long Barn, the peace and quiet was just what the two of us (and dog!) needed. It’s a lovely spot, easy to find but private despite being on a farm. Spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped: I would recommend it to anyone and the entries in the visitor’s book agree! Lovely friendly hosts too.

Spotlessly clean and spacious , only downside was the amount of light switches and remotes for everything. I would also advise that you need reasonable mobility to use the first floor bedroom due to the spiral stairs and step up into the ensuite. However it's very well equipped in the kitchen.

We had such a lovely stay at Nikki's house. The interior is beautiful and well furnished and we felt at home straight away! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The time me and my fiancée spent at Sallys was wonderful. First of the place was stunning, it had every amenity you could imagine, decorated perfectly and looks even better than what the amazing pictures show. Sally was a wonderful host and went above and beyond in helping us feel at home, recommending restaurants and even offering us lifts to a festival and wellies for it. It was a really special trip for us, we got engaged and Sally even brought us a lovely engagement gift! The location is amazing, it’s a 20 minute drive to Henley, and is very close to Oxford and Reading. It is also a train ride away from London. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would, we loved every minute and can’t wait to come again. Thankyou Sally and Eric.

We had a fantastic few days at Owlswick Barn. The views are stunning and the barn is gorgeous. There were 12 of us and it was perfect for all 3 generations of our family. The hot tub is set in a barn so can be enjoyed in all weathers and the seating area makes it a really sociable space. Annie is the perfect host. We arrived to a delicious home made cake and fresh juice and she sorted out the hot tub when we needed help. We highly recommend Owlswick Barn.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was cozy and well stocked, and kept pristine. The farm land surrounding the cabin was so beautiful. We even had a lovely cat friend visit us during our stay! There were animals including peacocks all around. We also loved the hot tub, perfect place to getaway with friends!

We (2 adults, 1 son of 14 and a dog) have had an amazing Christmas holiday week. Valerie and Philip are top hosts. At the arrival we really felt welcome. The scones, bottle of wine and dog cookies are an example of true hostmanship. Valerie and Philip are easy to communicate with and always respond quickly. The black barn was warm, cosy and is a quiet spot near beautiful meadows, woods and lovely Berkhamstead. London, Oxford and Windsor Castle are within reach by car or car/train. At 2,5 miles you can charge your EV (max 150 kw/h) at the parking lot behind M&S (Berkhamsted). We really recommend spending your time at the black barn. England at its best.

What a lovely find, Had everything i needed for a great stay, good size kitchen and lounge. Very comfy bed Julia and Jonathan came over to meet us and check all was ok Would definitely stay here again, thank you ☺️

My family had such a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and tidy with everything that we could possibly need. The cottage was a short walk across the countryside to the local town and the scenery was stunning. Perfect for a quiet, peaceful retreat to enjoy time with family and/or friends. I would highly recommend staying here.
