Holiday houses in Big Bend

We had a wonderful stay at Cockatoo Cottage. It’s so peaceful, quaint and beautifully decorated. Gardens are fantastic to sit in. We also appreciated the little treats they left for us for breakfast and we used them! All we needed was available for us. Very grateful for our stay!

Thank you Paul for letting us stay at your place for our weekend getaway while we went to Sounds By The River. A beautiful location. The house was just as described and the amenities went above and beyond our expectations. Not to mention the generous welcome basket which was totally unexpected and well appreciated. There was nothing lacking as far as amenities went and very clean! This place was by far one of the best value for money holiday rental experiences we've had! The house is clean and tidy, and very close to the city center. The balcony offers a panoramic view of the Adelaide Hills, which is truly refreshing to the mind and spirit. Paulo and Debora are warm and friendly, with prompt communication and responses—they are simply wonderful.

Absolutely loved our stay! The unit was even more beautiful than we imagined – so cozy and inviting. The living room had the perfect vibe for relaxing, and the deck was incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot to unwind with nature all around. We couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy some peace and quiet. We were also so touched by the thoughtful treat left for us, it was such a sweet and personal touch. It really made us feel at home right away.

Excellent stay, brilliant location and everything you really need for a stay in an area of true beauty. I would happily recommend this place to anybody, it was perfect for what I needed and more. Dee was also exceptional as a host, always happy to help and was super flexible and helpful with understanding some of my travel issues which delayed my arrival. Super easy! It meant a lot. I would and will easily stay here again, fantastic.

Beautifully appointed home - very comfortable for our group, with spacious bedrooms, 2 living areas, plus gorgeous spaces to sit outdoors and a lovely garden. Great reverse cycle air conditioning. Very quiet spot but only a short walk to the main street with cafes and restaurants. I would highly recommend Sierra Madre for a stay in the Barossa!

Perfect overnight place for us. The nearby large playground was great fun for our kids. The accommodation is also very near to the boat launch facility, the mangroves, and the hotel. Could easily have stayed a little longer in this 'little gem'. Russel (our host) was super responsive on any/ all queries and the accommodation is well designed, very clean and adequately spacious. Plenty of natural lighting in the open plan kitchen/ living area due to the large modern windows, but appropriate privacy from the lovely garden vegetation.

We had such a great stay. So close to everything and the house had everything we needed in the kitchen to be self sustainable. Great back yard area with plenty of space. Added bonus of a carport, which managed to fit our Mitsubishi Outlander perfectly. Would definitely stay here again!

Really recommend this townhouse. Modern and spacious, light and bright. So quiet yet walking distance for everything in Adelaide. Great value for money too. Super responsive and friendly host.

We had a great stay at Megan's place. The unit was near and tidy, and Megan's was wonderful in her communication and in accommodating us when we had a change of plans.

In summary, outstanding accomodation in a beautiful location. This would be the best Airbnb we have stayed. The design, comfort and setup, from the kitchen to the bathroom; is five star. We were provided an amazing breakfast selection, bread, croissants, jams and juices, as well as a bottle of wine. Communication was easy. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has been applied to making this a great experience. We will definitely stay again.

The house more than met our expectations. We had everything we needed. It felt very safe and homely. We would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
