Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bicheno

If you are looking for an amazing family retreat on the Eastern Coast then book this house now (if you can!). We cannot recommend it highly enough. We had brilliant communication and advice from Sally prior to arrival with lots of invaluable tips on making our stay better. The house is beautifully designed and immensely comfortable. I have never come across a better equipped kitchen in a B&B before. This is very clearly a family home and lots of love has gone into making it comfortable. Outside is truly special, with the most incredible ocean-front setting. The house is surrounded by the ocean on 3 sides, giving a constant backdrop of waves crashing on the shore. The ocean constantly changes colour mesmerically throughout the day, and is particularly spectacular at sunrise in front the house. The wildlife is amazing; wallabies, possums, eagles, swallows, plovers and cicadas. So much to see and do in the neighbourhood to fill your days - a week is not enough. Book it if you can!!

Thank you for hosting us. Very spacious cottage, kids loved the cottage and space around the cottage to ride their kick scooter. Reception staff and Rob are very responsive, attended to the bathroom door issue immediately. Eatery and bar in walking distance. Highly recommend Rob’s place! We will book in next time too when visiting the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at St Helens. Trees from every window. Ocean glimpses from the deck out the back, where we could see the boats, and enjoy nibbles and BBQs. Huge backyard with grass and trees for kids to play. Amazing shower pressure, nice and hot. Such a good location to explore the local area and surrounds. Tomato sauce in the pantry was a life saver! Nice quiet street and enjoyed watching the birds and wallabies out the front each morning.

Our trip was short and sweet - but we wish we had booked longer! Location and accommodation was simply stunning, couldn't have asked for more. Lots of little touches that made us feel relaxed and in holiday-mode! Thanks for having us!

Great kitchen, bathroom and very comfortable beds. Situated in a great location as well. Great place.

Beautiful large, airy and spacious house . Views from both the bedroom windows and from the lower front deck. Fully fenced nice private yard, great for dogs! Lovely outdoor seating area on front and back verandas. Walking distance to the beach.

Catherine’s home is terrific: lovely, within walking distance of places to eat (we loved the RSL); the kitchen was NOT too small-there was plenty of room for both of us with a well-stocked pantry with olive oil, vinegar, a variety of spices, mustards…it is in easy driving distance of so many places to eat/see. We wouldn’t hesitate to say “just book it”. You’ll be glad you did

Redruth was like a home away from home. Beds were super comfy. The kitchen was very well appointed. Garden was lovely, with numerous places to enjoy the privacy of the home. Beach theme was perfect for the location, with interesting and exotic decor. The indoor plants were REAL, creating the perfect ambiance. We felt that all our needs were catered to. Helen's beach house is absolutely divine!! The scenery is stunning! The deck, the warm timber inside, erything makes you feel instantly at home. The house is really well equipped. It's a perfect location to explore the surrounding and the beautiful beaches of the Bay of Fire. Great and easy communication with Helen. Wished we could stay longer. I'll definitely come back if I have a occasion to come down to Tassie again!

Absolutely awesome spot to stay. Very private on 200 Acres and great view of the water. Only upgrade I can think of would be to put a toilet in each ensuite instead of having 1 separate toilet but with just two couples it worked fine. Outstanding place to visit.

Peace & Plenty truly fits it's name. The stunning location and views encourage relaxation. The house is very well appointed, from the kitchen to the artwork to the bookshelves.We loved picking vegetables from the garden to accompany our dinner. After a day spent sightseeing or enjoying the beach in front of the property, it was fun to come home to our own little indoor pool. Charmaine is an excellent host. A bottle of wine and a selection of condiments awaited us at check-in. She responds very quickly to any questions. After we checked out, we realized a piece of jewelry was left behind. Charmaine quickly had it located and arranged for it to be returned to us. We would definitely choose to stay here again if in Tasmania.

Very clean, new, quite place to stay! We have everything we need. Location is very good, close to beautiful beach and it just takes 10 min to Freycinet National Park! This is the best accommodation during our round trip in TAS! 👍👍👍

A very close and handy place to stay near Derby for mountain bike riders of up to 12 people. Sam the host is a brilliant and bubbly host who is quick to reply to messages and someone who made us feel at home. We will be back.
