Cabin holiday rentals in Barbeau

The perfect relaxing getaway if you like things a bit on the rustic side. Being able to swim, fish, paddle around, soak in the hot tub, or just relax and enjoy the view right outside the door was ideal. Plus there was enough space and stuff for kids to keep them occupied and happy all day long. Location was far enough from the city to be completely peaceful, but close enough to easily get supplies or just visit for a few hours. Beds were comfortable and the wood fire stove was there if we needed it to take the edge off cool mornings or evenings, making a cozy space to read and relax. Keep in mind that there is no hot water or potable water on site, but if you're used to simple cabins or camping, this is nothing to worry about. Leslie was great about staying in contact and clearly loves this place herself, which makes it a much better place to be than some of the more generic rental-only options out there. We are already planning our return for next year.

Very nice and hosts very hospitable EV charger was plus we drove EV vehicle from Detroit and it was great to have an EV charging station Great place for winter and skiing at Searchmont. Property would be a great summer/spring place to stay

Cabin was super cute. Small, only has a stand up shower. worked great for just my husband and I. Hot tub was very nice! could use some runners or something to cover the steps and walkway to the house from the hot tub in winter weather. Having a TV out there was Perfect! wish we would have had more clear night sky! It is very dark, except for the motion light at the door, it turns off after a few mins. We visited the General store they were very friendly and had what we needed. Clydes Place had delicious burgers and is right down the road.

Just a great place, the owners are even better people. Loved it all!!!

This was the perfect cozy spot to get away from the cold after a day of exploring the upper peninsula in the cold month of February. The host Kelly gave me all kinds of information about the area and answer every question I had no matter when I asked them. She gave very good recommendations we absolutely loved ever restaurant we tried. Kelly provided snow shoes to walk around the beach with. It was a cool experience me and my wife got without having to drive anywhere. The wife and I can't wait to come back.

We had such a great time at the Deerfoot lodge. We originally rented the smaller of the two cabins, but there was a small issue that needed to be fixed in the smaller one, and no one was staying in the larger cabin, we got a surprise upgrade! 2 houses on the property makes for an amazing chance to get the whole family together for an adventure!! The kids loved the little built in playroom under the stairs and the foosball table! Great location for quick trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, snowmobile trails, and other attractions in the U.P. Highly recommend stopping at The Buckhorn for delicious dinner!! 10/10 would definitely stay again!! Thanks to Julie for the perfect getaway spot!

Rustic, private and peaceful retreat. No outside distractions only nature. The half mile Loop was great for walking our dogs and we did it every day. We were halfway between Mackinaw City and Petoskey. Both were great to visit and walk the dogs. We found parks and trails all around to hike and enjoy.

Elizabeth's place was perfect for our snowmobile group! Trails were right there and easy to get to. The view at the house was perfect, it was private and just beautiful all around. Check in and out was so easy and communication was great! Thank you for sharing your place with us, we had a blast!

We enjoyed our stay on the lake. Had a bonfire and saw the northern lights from the backyard.! Ran in to an issue but the answering service and host were very friendly and responsive, got it solved quickly. Would recommend

Had a wonderful stay. Susan was very helpful with local recommendations and very quick to respond to any questions we had. Great location for snowmobiling. Very central location to head in all directions. We rode right from there and put on about 500 miles in 3 days. Very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided.

This is my second stay at Don's family camp, and I'll continue to book here when it's available. Don is one of the most responsive hosts I've know, and I've stayed in over 30 Airbnb's. If you're looking for something remote, but still have basic amenities plus a couple extra perks like a sauna and outdoor fire pit ... this is the place. If phone and internet service are critical, you might want to look south of the Mackinac Bridge. For my needs, I hope Don and his family continue to share their camp.

Don and Jackie were amazing!! always available and willing to help with any questions I had. this was my second stay in their gorgeous cabin with the most amazing view of the lake from the top floor. Bed was extremely comfortable and it was perfect for my husband and to stay for our 2 week visit. highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Rae’s place was one of a kind. Perfect to enjoy quality time with the family. We loved the private beach area. And certainly had a lot of fun in the water with the canoe and kayaks. Rae was very attentive and went out of her way to help us find a vet in the area to see our puppy. Everyone in the island was super friendly. I recommend Ends Trail if you are looking for a place to relax and truly disconnect from everything.

We loved staying here. It was extremely clean and easy to find. It’s not too far from anything and very quiet. The deer head started me when I first came inside but eventually else was perfect and it may be the cleanest place I ever stayed.

9 days was not long enough! Next time we hope to book a little longer. Once you’re there, you can’t leave. It’s that amazing. Worth every penny. Kai & Emily were excellent hosts and super accommodating. Spent some quality time both outside and inside, and lucked out with temps in the mid twenties and sunshine. If you have a canoe or kayaks, be sure to bring them. If you don’t, we promise you will regret it. Plan is to return for future conferences in the Soo and no matter what comes up, we will do our best to book again during the fall colour blitz. It’s beyond breathtaking. For a couple of days on the island, it was a great place to stay!

The property was ideal for our group of 15 for our family reunion. Lots of property to play outdoor games and although we had our own water toys, they had plenty to rent if needed. The waterfront was ok but because the water levels were low, it tended to be a bit weedy but we did swim and kayak- the lake is nice. There were only a few small items that came up but Kate was responsive and handled them right away. Would recommend this place! Nice spot.

We’ve stayed here a couple times and keep coming back because we love it! The views are breathtaking over the water. The location feels secluded but is close to things if you need to run out. The place is clean and so cozy inside. Jody is quick to communicate and makes the whole process a breeze! We had a lovely time just hanging out back with our pups and hope to come back again.
