Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Balapitiya

A huge house with plenty of room. Wood furnishing and comfortable beds with mosquito netting. This is a great house to share with friends or family. We were there with our 3 children for 3 weeks and it was a great experience. Our hosts were so kind and generous. Their children played with ours and they made us dinner on our arrival night. Also, they invited us to join them in their celebrations, which gave us a much more authentic experience of Sri Lanka. They also put us in contact with a great tour guide, Pasindu, and offered their car for tours. This really made our trip. The location is in walking distance to a beach and surf break, but is not for kids. But the bus is easy from the main road to go to Weligama for surf lessons and a calmer beach. We went almost daily and were able to take full advantage. It’s a calmer spot than being in a town, but close enough to easily get to restaurants and shopping. Thank you Sinki and family 🙏

Catherine's place is fantastic, beyond what we expected from the photos. It was large, well furnished and had plenty of nooks for the ten of us on a family holiday to find some chill time. The bedrooms were large, air conditioned (and fans), each with their own bathroom, and very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and spacious and with outdoor pavillion and wide verandahs was perfect to watch the kids in the pool. Nimal, the chef at the house, was fabulous and could cook almost anything we wanted from full Sri Lankan banquets to burgers and pizza. He was great to work with as was house manager Sathish. We had a wonderful 10 days here and would love to do it again.

At first, the host of this house is one of the greatest in my traveling history. He was very knowledgeable and supportive. I could spend an amazing time in Hikkaduwa thanks to his hospitality. Thank you!

Lahiru and Piyushani are such lovely and warm people and their place is such a peaceful tropical oasis. Everything you could wish for is around this area, incredible beaches, food, temples and green tropics. They very kindly upgraded us to their villas which were just divine. Clean and airy with lovely spaces to sit and read all day…as we chose to do on multiple days. It has an amazing bed to sleep in and is very private and spacious. We ended up staying two weeks just because it felt like the perfect space to stop. They were caring in checking in and making sure everything was ok. Would stay here again and again and again. Paradise 🌴

We had an absolutely amazing stay with Mahendra, his family, and his team. The villa was stunning and had everything we needed, from daily cleaning to a fantastic private swimming pool, which we had exclusive access to throughout our stay. Mahendra made us feel incredibly welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. He also owns a beachfront restaurant, and he kindly arranged for takeaways to be delivered to the villa whenever we needed. The villa's location is perfect, nestled on a hill and just a short tuk-tuk ride away from some of the most beautiful beaches and charming local towns. Sri Lanka is a breathtakingly beautiful destination, and Mahendra’s villa was the perfect base for us to explore it. Highly recommended!

This place is honestly heaven on earth! The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is exceptional and prepares the best breakfast in the morning. Really 10/10. But the best is yet to come: the terrace. Never experienced such a nice and beautiful place directly at the beach. We will definitely see us again! Thank you for such a nice stay! :)

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

We had a fantastic time staying at the villa. our hosts, Raju and Francesca, were very friendly and responsive to any queries. We loved the villa's location. It was a short walk uphill from unawatuna beach, and very peaceful. We could spot monkeys outside the kitchen, and cute birds and squirrels. Our villa was clean and although being in the jungle, no bugs or mosquitos were inside. The kitchen facilities were also great and we enjoyed cooking there. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will visit again!

Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

Our stay at this Airbnb was highly satisfying, starting with a warm welcome involving cold coconuts and chilled face towels, which was a thoughtful touch. An instance that stands out is when our motorcycle ran out of gas; the host's wife helped us find enough fuel to reach the nearest station, showcasing their readiness to assist in any situation. The property was well-maintained, and every detail seemed carefully considered to ensure guests' comfort. Despite the excellent condition of the accommodation and the host's hospitality, we experienced some issues with an unstable internet connection, which was the only downside of our stay. Overall, this Airbnb offers a good balance of comfort, convenience, and attentive hosting, making it a recommendable option for travelers.

A lovely apartment with good facilities in beautiful surroundings. Nuwan was very responsive and helpfully sorted out scooter hire for our stay and a taxi to Colombo. We relaxed and watched the monkeys and birds from the peaceful balcony, it's a lovely little oasis!

Amazing apartment, just like in the photos – with a breathtaking view of the ocean. This place is exactly as advertised and even better in person! The panoramic ocean views from the apartment are absolutely stunning. The apartment was spotless when we arrived, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain it. Everything was fresh, organized, and well-kept, which made our stay even more comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there are plenty of towels, toiletries, and other essentials. The attention to detail made it feel like home. Sam was incredibly responsive and welcoming from the moment we booked. They made sure we had all the information we needed, provided great local recommendations. Cons: The ocean in this area is not ideal for swimming – the waters can be a bit rough. However, a short tuk-tuk ride will take you to a much better beach with calmer waters.

Amazing apartment! So close to galle so easy to go for dinner. Nice restaurant/ beach club within walking distance. Aircon was a lovely. plus restaurant was a nice addition for easy lunches/ dinner!

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

The accommodation is beautiful and right on the sea. If you don't want to eat in the restaurant in the building complex, you always need a taxi to the nearest restaurant. Special requests were always taken into account and fulfilled. Furthermore, we were helped a lot in organizing the transfer to the airport.

I went to Bihara's place with my family and in-laws, and everyone loved it so much. The surroundings of the property and the property itself is full of greenery and peaceful. In fact, even before reaching, Bihara was always responsive and helped with all the queries I had. His family is also lovely, and helped us with every single thing we had a query about. The breakfast was great, timely, and felt very homely. I strongly recommend his place, especially if you have large groups as we had an entire floor to ourselves. And the hosts, his entire family that is, are really lovely folks!

Ghazzali is possibly the loveliest host of any property we have ever stayed at! The apartment is really nice, the communal facilities are super and it was great being just outside the hustle and bustle of Galle, with very close beach access.
