Holiday rentals with beach access in Balapitiya

We had wonderful 11 nights at this place. We wanted to feel like at our home, feel how locals live and that"s the what we've got. There is no AC (as advertised in the ad), but it was not a problem. The fan above the bed does it's work perfectly. The open kitchen is amazing and you can make what ever you want. There is everything, including the blender (which is significant, considering the abundance of fresh tropical fruits everywhere). There was almost no mosqitoes in beautiful garden. Also, lot of local animals and a pretty friendly monkey. There were some shortages of water, but it was not a serious problem. Raju was a great host and we will surely come again.

Un logement impeccable avec grande cuisine équipée, SDB impeccable, jardiner et balcon privatif ! Le logement est à proximité de nombreux restaurants, café et commerce. À 5 min à pied des plages et des écoles de surf. Donc c’est vraiment pratique. L’hôte très accueillant, très gentil, il nous a aider pour les taxis ! Je recommande vraiment ce logement pour deux ou quatre personnes.

I’m a single woman traveling alone from the U.S. and from the first moment meeting the hosts, I felt like I was part of this beautiful family. I have friends forever here! So warm and welcoming and accommodating. What a beautiful example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The hostess is always eager to cook you a delicious Sri Lankan meal. They put in so much effort to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I need. Excellent all around! Incredible value, excellent Wi-Fi, beautiful home, quick access to Hikkaduwa beach. The host has also been my personal tour guide of the area, which has a lot to see and experience. In particular the tsunami of 2004 was quite devastating to this area, and there are many memorials that are heart-opening. This family even rented a car and drove me eight hours to the center of the island where we spent the night together experiencing other sites! Incredible! I would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to have a unique, personal experience!

Der Aufenthalt bei Nalaka und seiner Familie war der beste meines Lebens! Wir verbrachten 30 Tage dort und genossen jede Sekunde. Nalaka und seine Frau Navisha sind unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam, gaben uns das Gefühl, zur Familie zu gehören, aber auch genug Raum für Ruhe. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Dschungel, umgeben von sattem Grün, aber dennoch nah am Zentrum von Ahangama. Die Wohnung ist viel größer als auf den Bildern, makellos sauber und fühlt sich wie ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel an. Besonders der Außenbereich und die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf spielende Affen waren Highlights. Nalaka ist zudem ein exzellenter Koch – besonders empfehlenswert sind die Deviled Kalamari und die Villa Kingford Soup. Für uns ist er mehr als ein Gastgeber, er ist ein wahrer Freund geworden. Wir kommen garantiert wieder! Ein riesiges Dankeschön an Nalaka, Navisha, Satheesha und Namadhi – eure Gastfreundschaft war unvergesslich!

We had an excellent stay at this apartment and appreciated all the thoughtful details. Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit in Gianlucas Apartment! Die Unterkunft selbst ist nicht nur wahnsinnig stylisch und komfortabel, sondern auch perfekt gelegen – direkt am Meer und umgeben von coolen Bars, Cafés und Restaurants. Die Atmosphäre war ganz besonders! Gianluca war ein richtig toller Host: Er hat uns mit vielen guten Tipps versorgt, war immer proaktiv und die Kommunikation war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Eine klare Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder! 🌴🌞🏄🏼‍♀️

Great Host and local area. + local area close to the center + ac room + helpful host - construction place near by the villa

This place was so beautiful, we had the perfect stay. The owner Nuwan was lovely and extremely helpful, they also provided with a scooter which was so great for getting around. The Airbnb had two double beds, the one we stayed in was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. A great stay and I would highly recommend for anyone coming to Sri Lanka.

Хорошее расположение - пляж, магазины в пешей доступности, близко жд и автовокзал. Байк не обязателен. Если нужен тук-тук, используйте приложение Pick me. Дружелюбный, отзывчивый хозяин, всегда на связи. Хорошо говорит на английском. Довез нас из аэропорта и до следующего места по хорошей цене.

Lovely place with everything you need including a gas hob. Very helpful host who was keeping in touch on regular basis. Place is located only a short walk to the main street and the beach, yet is very peaceful. Chathura is very helpful and will do anything to make sure you are happy. We needed a taxi to the airport and he has arranged us a very good airport transfer for a better price then pick me or Uber. Definitely would stay again.

really nice house, and really nice host, wasn’t quite where the pin location was, but they let us use the scooter so was easy enough to get around, also quite nice to be a little set back from the main hustle of weligama

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der einzigartigen Unterkunft von Vincent! Die Unterkunft war sogar noch schöner auf den Bildern und der Pool war das Highlight. Wir haben alle Möglichkeiten genutzt , zb die Massage nebenan und auch das Frühstück und Abendessen. Alles war spitze! Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder :)

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ces quelques jours chez Nilu. Jolie maison, joli jardin, Nilu et sa famille on été très accueillants. Idéalement située, à quelques minutes de kabalana beach dans un quartier légèrement en retrait de l’effervescence de la côte. Merci !!

A very stylish apartment with an amazing concrete design—almost every element is made of concrete, including the walls, bed base, nightstands, tables, and chairs. It looks really unique! The house is surrounded by lush greenery and is just a 15-minute walk from the beach. I loved strolling through the quiet, narrow streets. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay, making it very comfortable. The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy when tuk-tuks pass by on the road, but at night, the traffic is minimal. Overall, a great place to stay!

The villa is fabulous! Absolutely stunning, spacious and private. Looks exactly like pictures. Sudda was extremely responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Weligama.

Wonderful view of the sea

I stayed in the guest cottage on a lovely private (gated) property full of jungly trees, birds, and monkeys! Eva has built a paradise. It was wonderful to walk down to yoga a few times. Overall it's exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet (except for all the bird chatter, but that was lovely). Also the staff are so lovely and helpful and smiling. Just a reminder that there's no AC, and you are in the jungle so be obsessively clean in the kitchen (hello ants) and don't let the little lizards scare you. I named one Fred. :). If the wifi doesn't work, just find the wifi repeater and ensure it's plugged in, and ta da, the signal perks right up. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent stay at this apartment! The host was very professional, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was convenient, and all amenities worked perfectly. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and straightforward. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the apartment's setup and the host's quick communication. Would definitely recommend this place to other travelers and would love to stay here again!

Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!

We had a lovely stay here! Such a clean apartment, and so nice to have the pool and gym on site. Our host was so friendly and always answered our questions quickly! She also got us all a little gift each, which was so sweet of her❤️ couldn’t recommend this place enough.
