Absolutely gorgeous location right across the bay from Skye. Numerous wonderful walks from the house and in the nearby valley. Local shop and pub in walking distance. House is as described. If youre looking for luxuries or that squeaky clean finish, this probably isnt for you but if you are happy with a warm, cosy base with all the necessities you will enjoy your stay here. Very much like staying at your elderly grandmothers! If you are picky about your linens, i would recommend bringing your own towels or sheets but there are plenty provided. Murdoch is extremely warm and friendly and offers a myriad of information about the house and local area making it very easy to enjoy your stay and find the things that interest you. We had a really lovely stay here, the view is amazing and the place was so cosy. The log burner is great. Would definitely come back!

Spent Christmas at the cabin and it was perfect. What a beautiful cosy place. The cabin is massive and had wonderful views over the loch. We had the wood burner going. Which really set the Christmas mood. The cabin was lovely and warm. Loads of hot water and shower. Well equipped. Very comy bed. Loads of cupboard space for clothes. Beautiful veiws from the bedroom. Absolutely loved watching the birds from the decking. 💯 recommend. We head for Scotland every Christmas and this has lived upto everything I dreamt of. Joan was very helpful. We really did have the best Christmas. Thank you 😊 ☃️🎅

The house was much bigger than appears in the photos, and so beautifully furnished. Very comfortable and with everything you could need. Lovely personal touches, and homemade jam. Rupert was a perfect host and we really didn't want to leave! Thanks Rupert and Lin, we're already planning our next stay :)
