Storme was an excellent hostess and The Duchess was a stunning home to stay in for our special event. We especially enjoyed walking around the many local parks. It's such a lush, green area. The well stocked herbs and spices was a thoughtful touch for our home cooking. We highly recommend The Duchess.

A fantastic stay with everything we could have wanted and better … Tammy was extremely lovely and so helpful, from local recommendations to getting us settled quickly and efficiently. House and host so friendly and above & beyond expectations. We stayed for swimming nationals and it was the perfect place to rest and recharge between events, also really close to Brisbane Aquatic Centre … could not recommend highly enough, will definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to get availability!!! Jen's place was so clean and spacious and was so much bigger than expected. The pool was inviting and the back deck area is a great place to hang out. Very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen is. And the two eating areas came in handy as we are a group of crafters so we could leave our projects out and still had a table to sit at for meals. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and beds are extremely comfortable. Probably the only negative is that the air conditioners do struggle to cool the main living spaces, due to their size and high ceilings. And not all spaces are air conditioned and this is a bit hard in February when it is so hot and humid. Not enough to put us off wanting to stay there again though. Great hostess and great place.

Great location close to all amenities, description of home very accurate, outdoor area around pool had the loveliest plush lawn, perfect for our grandson to run around on, very private in back yard. Had extra granny flat attached to the home, although we did not utilise it, would be helpful for a larger family or grandparents, nice host to deal with. Overall had a nice relaxing break.

Eniko is a wonderful host who is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Andy was very helpful and accommodating. We had a home emergency and were grateful the property was available. Communication was easy & we never had to wait long for a response. The pool was the highlight of the stay. The kookaburras in the morning was also a great surprise for the kids.

My second stay here, Kimberley is an excellent communicator I was delayed due to the cyclone She kept me up to date on all aspects. Lovely accommodation, easily walkable to Sandgate, restaurants, shops etc As a return visitor I would obviously highly recommend

We had a great stay! We stayed for 6 weeks while we sold our house and bought another. Tracey kindly let our pets stay after a few reasonable questions and responded very quickly to any queries/comments we had. For example, we mentioned that a few of the clothesline ropes had broken and the whole rope was fixed in days. This location and home was perfect for our needs as a short term home where the whole family (2A, 2C and 2 pets) could feel at home during what was quite a stressful period. It was as also very convenient for travel to schools and the city during peak hours. The desk got an absolute workout with gamers and people working from home and internet was never an issue. If you have a dog, there are a couple of nice dog parks close by to wander too, to get the energy out. We stayed in summer and the Aircon was much appreciated by the British members of the family. It is on the cosy side but a cute place and great access. Thanks for a great stay Tracey!

Shane's place is just wonderful! The outdoor area and garden is so beautiful and relaxing, peferct for our holiday. It is matched by the lovely he interior, thst is very tasteful and so we'll equipt, with highy quality items, it would be hard to improve on anything. Shane is a marvellous host, he left us such a wonderful welcome pack we really had no need to do any shopping. All the small touches, that make such a big difference, were evident, we really appreciated it all. Fantastic.

Absolutely amazing to be right on the water, watching the tide come in & go out, seeing boats & yachts passing by. Peaceful, bushy surrounds blissfully listening to bird life. Clean & comfortable furnishings, & has everything needed (& more) in the kitchen & other living areas both inside & out. Peter & Raisa were communicative, helpful, responsive & lovely hosts. It was great to get out & explore the island with lots of hidden gems, fishing spots, & friendly locals. Catching mud crabs was a bonus with the supplied crab pots. Yum! Great house & location, would definitely stay again & recommend to others.

We had an amazing stay at Hollie’s place! The house was immaculate, stylishly furnished, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location was great, and the detailed instructions made check-in and checkout a breeze. Hollie was an outstanding host, always quick to respond and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We needed a place that close for a group of us to head back to after a concert. I chose it because of it's size, and it was exactly what we needed to hold 5 adults. Would use this place again for the same reason if I needed to.

We had a business exhibition in nearby Banyo, and need a place for thew team to stay during the event. The house was extremyl spaciouis and roomy, and allowed for reasonable privacy for our team members. Great large space house for people in need of a lot of it.

Great peaceful location, home away from home with a well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds and extremely clean home.

A retro beach shack delight! Julie’s place was nicely situated on a quiet street in amity. Not far from cafe, beach, restaurants and playgrounds! We really enjoyed having family time at her home but I do not recommend toddlers or ages 1-4, as there are many beautiful things to break around and no children’s toys or books. Absolutely perfect for 10+. Also- I should have checked with Julie before arriving on the island for certain essentials for cooking like oil and baking tray but these items seemed to be normal available to her and just missing. She had lots of little items of appreciation like tea towels and soaps and ice cubes! Thanks Julie for a great holiday even after the cyclone!

Sally's house graciously served as our home for a week, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sally is a fantastic host; her efforts to ensure our comfort were truly exceptional. Her home is more than perfect, providing everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much, Sally!

My brother and I went to Brisbane to have a reunion with our sisters. We wanted an environment where we could spend a few days with our siblings living under 1 roof like in our childhood days. Van’s house with six bedrooms is very spacious with a large kitchen and dining table and multiple living rooms. Lots of space for talking and privacy. Beds in all the rooms were firm. The dish washer and washing machine were in perfect working order, so were the air conditioning. We had a most wonderful family reunion! Thanks Van - you’re a great host!

This place is very good, clean, spacious and feels very homely. It had everything from books to DVD'S and even Vegemite. Highly recommend this airbnb especially for big families.

House is cosy, comfortable and very clean. Good sized, peaceful backyard and balcony enjoyed by our dog. Very central location well serviced with nearby shops. Carolyn is a joy to communicate with. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stuart's Eclectic home. When we arrived we were greeted by a kangaroo in the back yard and had multiple bouncy visitors throughout our stay, as well as some beautiful kookaburras and curlews. It's so close to all the beaches and shops and walking trails, we walked or rode our bikes predominantly. Had a heatwave while we were there so the house was warm in the upstairs living areas in the afternoon as others have mentioned. A great comfortable beach shack and a lovely way to experience the beauty of what Stradbroke Island has on offer.
