Holiday houses in Yatsugatake

Yu was a kind host throughout our stay. The Airbnb was gorgeous, and the outside view was amazing! You can see a good view Mount Fuji from the Airbnb. We also really appreciated how there was a Jacuzzi, a sauna, and an outdoor kitchen. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb for those who are interested and we would like to come back if we get the chance!

This house was so charming, and the area is absolutely gorgeous! It was a great experience of traditional countryside living with a few modern amenities thrown in (the high tech bathroom and toilets were appreciated!). A word to the wise though: what the listing says about cold weather is no joke! We stayed in mid-November and ended up catching the first couple below-freezing nights of the season, and while the host warned us the house would be chilly with only kerosene heating, we were unprepared for the discovery that the house’s power couldn’t handle keeping heaters on in more than two rooms at a time without blowing the breakers! Aside from the bathroom and one bedroom we kept heated, it was so cold we could see our breath indoors for the entire duration of our stay! The house is wonderful but I would recommend thinking of this as more akin to glamping than, say, a fully outfitted cottage. If the weather is nice, I can’t imagine a more charming place to be!

It was very beautiful and easy to spend!

We had a precious experience with a bonfire, sauna, snow, and stars. I was able to relax in a quiet and private space. The room is spacious and can accommodate large groups, but the living room is the warmest, and I made it a living room for eating and sleeping. The host was polite and helpful in communicating in advance. Thank you for lending me a sukiyaki pot and preparing the sauna for the desired time!

Fujisakura’s place is very well located, just a short walk to the kawaguchiko lake and easy walk to the train station, which is really great. The place is spotlessly clean, with traditional style futon that is cosy and interesting. The place is rather cold especially the bathroom, but the portable heater provided is sufficient. However, if the temperature dips below zero, the heaters may not be enough. Fujisakura is also an excellent host and gave many recommendations and advice on how to go about visiting the area. We really appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your nice place with us!

Kim’s house was a standout of our trip to Japan. The location was spectacular - the views over the lake and to Mt Fuji, especially the sunrise were highlights as was the warm and cozy lounge in the evenings. The large house had everything and it was great to be able to be able to spread out over the two floors - there was plenty of room for whole family and the beds were super comfortable. If you’re after an airbnb with an exceptional host, then this is it.

Francisco, great host, instructions are very clear, the property is located away from the highway, peaceful and quiet. Stayed in November 2024, falls season and the surrounding area beautiful with autumn foliage. the woods with nature.

Our stay at Ember View was an incredible experience. It’s located in a small peaceful neighborhood that’s surrounded by mountains. It took us about 30 to 40 minutes to get up to Hakuba Ski Resort, which is adorable if you’re planning to go. It was about an hour drive away from Nagano City and 2 hour drive to the Snow Monkey park. These sounds far but the drive is gorgeous and worth the effort. The Airbnb was super cozy with a kitchen with all the utensils and cookware needed to make your own meals. The bath gets and stays suuuuper hot. The loft’s futons were very comfy. If you want to stay nearby the house in Omachi, Mike provides a nice list of things to do. He was also very responsive and patient with any questions we had. Definitely recommend and would stay here with family or friends any time! If you are staying in the winter (later December~) you will need snow tires!

I was a really great stay! The host and his wife were both very kind and caring. From all hotels and airbnbs i've ever stayed, this one was by far the most heart-warming ever. They sent a picture of the Fuji every morning so we could know, even before opening the windows, how was the whether and the visibility of the mountain that morning. They also sent us a list of restaurants and festivals happening that day for us to enjoy (which for us, we had the lucky pleasure to appreciate the first day of a firework festival happening near the lake Kawaguchi). Beyond that, best and most exciting thing about this stay is definitely its beautiful view from the airbnb itself. Just waking up and opening the curtains first thing in the morning to look at the view was already breathtaking. And about the interior of the room, there's nothing to complain about. Everything was really clean and there was everything you needed for your stay.
