a beautiful relaxing getaway. quiet and peaceful

What a lovely peaceful little sanctuary! So quiet and the birds were magnificent. The King Parrots were our favourites, eating right out of our hands. We went away for a peaceful relaxing time and that was exactly what we got!

Just back from a fabulous stay in the North Lodge. Travelling solo from England and this was everything I hoped it would be; peaceful, comfortable, safe, restorative, practical. Shellie was amazing with wonderful attention to detail throughout the stay and a brilliant hamper at the start - fantastic! The birds feeding from the balcony were also superb! Sassafras itself and the forests and mountains are a really great place to kick back, unwind and relax. A fantastic holiday - thank you!

Privacy and views were amazing! In perfect dense bush. Were met throughout the day with bird life that you could feed and some birds could hand feed. Power was lost the first couple of night due to storm but Renee was very accomodating in setting up a generator for us and calling to check in that we were managing well. The Cottage and facilities were great and bed very comfy. Would defiantly go again.

I will absolutely return to this gorgeous accommodation. Fantastic views and ammenities. I wish I could’ve stayed longer

The location of the property is so quiet and peaceful and you feel the privacy. The house was clean. We love the nature was amazing with rabbits all around! And just 10 mins away with car, Healesville is a beautiful town, convenient for shopping, perfect for afternoon drinks and dinner. Thanks for the instructions for location and how to get in, was so clear. The only thing is utensils for kitchen was a bit limited. We had very quiet time there will be definitely back during the winter.

Our stay at the cabin was just the ticket! Beautiful surroundings, birds galore, and the cabin itself is so charming and well maintained. Everything you need to cook for yourself, comfortable beds, and the verandah was perfect for relaxing, reading and taking in the bush The trampoline, tree swing etc kept the kiddo busy and active outdoors and it was perfect to have our dog stay with us too Highly recommend a stay if you’re after a real bush experience but need some comfort and conveniences

Lovely quiet place

Wonderful stay in a peaceful location. The cottage is extremely clean and cosy, exactly as described. We loved the view of the lake from the cottage. The owner is very responsive and friendly and gave us clear instructions on how to get there. We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay and look forward to staying again in future!

Lovely place to get away, beautiful surrounds with nature, birds and we saw some deer! The fire inside and out was much appreciated as were the botanical hand and body wash. Thanks Renee!

What a lovely, peaceful and relaxing place to have a little getaway. We went on a great hike in the nearby forested areas, and fed the birds on the back balcony. William was great in responding quickly, offered us late checkout as no one was arriving that day, and all instructions were very clear. Absolutely recommend!
