Cottage holiday rentals in Wrexham Principal Area

Just came home from a girls weekend here, gorgeous cottage, clean and tidy. Everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings, secluded. Asked a question about the heating - was immediately sorted out. Will definitely book again.

We had a very relaxing stay. It was peaceful and the views from the hot tub are amazing- especially on clear nights when you can enjoy the stars. Niamh and Dave were helpful and responsive, whilst giving us the space we needed to unwind. The surrounding areas are fab to explore, with horseshoe falls just around the corner. A great week!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were lovely and the place felt very homey. Wifi was slightly patchy in places and we struggled a bit to get the hot tub going but it was preheated on our first day and the hosts were happy to come and get the fire going

We had a lovely stay at the Drift House! The house was absolutely beautiful, in a lovely area with lots of nice walks and pubs nearby. Nicola was so helpful and quick to respond, it was very much appreciated! Would definitely recommend and absolutely love to stay again if we were ever interested in coming back to the area. Thanks again!

Spent Christmas here with close friends, the place is very spacious, with all of the equipment and facilities needed for cooking the works!!! Keith was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and answered any questions promptly. The hot tub was a bonus and was huge, happy adults and happy toddlers all round!!! The barn is located on a track, off a quiet lane on the outskirts of the village, making it incredibly peaceful with great night time skies. Highly recommend this place if you want a visa gathering with friends or family.

Beautiful cottage on a dairy farm. The photos don’t do it justice. So spacious and spotlessly clean, had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed the weekend of storm darrah, the power in the cottage was completely cut off, within 2 hours the farmer had sorted out his back up generator so our power was soon restored for the rest of the weekend. Very helpful host. We managed to get a taxi into Ruthin for a few drinks and food on the Saturday which was very nice despite the awful weather. Would highly recommend. Great location, very peaceful, but close enough to pubs and restaurants if you want to venture out.

Place is amazing!! Location is idyllic and dreamy with the snow, the locals are lovely. The bedrooms, kitchen and communal areas were clean. The description of the rooms was confusing and there was 12 of us! Tipi was not useable and the fireplace wasn’t either because it was wet inside. Could of done with more tea towels and something to light the fires in the place so make sure your bring a lighter! Hot tub unfortunately didn’t heat up after burning wood all day. A better place to keep the wood as a lot got wet which caused a lot of smoke from the fire. Possibly a wood burner for the lounge. Would stay again 100% x

We had a lovely to at Bryn Meirion. It is in a lovely peaceful location and is a great size for a couple of families or like us, Mum’s and Daughters looking to relax for a few days. The hot tub was lovely, the kitchen well equipped and the beds really comfy. The showers are a bit low on pressure but there are plenty of them which was great with teens!

Lovely open living area and kitchen to be together in with comfy bedrooms upstairs and lovely double bathroom which was a really smart idea 💡

Wonderful location! We stayed in February and had a selection of great walks on the doorstep. It is possible to see Eliseg's pillar and Castell Dinas Bran from the cottage, both archaeological sites within walking distance, along with Valle Crucis Abbey ruins. Local food options are great (5 min walks away - ask Abbey bistro for vegan option if you are looking for a tasty vegan roast dinner, the meat eaters were also very impressed with their meals), and Llangollen is a nice 45 min walk or 20 min drive if you need a shopping fix. Great deli in Llangollen (with tasty vegan options), as well as a local craft cooperative for unique gifts. The cottage itself was well heated and very comfortable, and perfect to stay with dogs as the downstairs is tiled. The kitchen was large enough to easily seat 5 adults around the table to eat. We were lucky with the weather, but board games, jigsaws and books are provided if looking at the stunning scenery from a comfy warm living room is more your thing

Kay was a great hostess. Very friendly and helpful. The property was beautifully presented and everything was clean and tidy. Lovely place ( barn renovation of a very high standard) although not the biggest of places compared to some we have stayed in, the space was well utilised and well thought through. Highly recommend. Great location and good value.

Stephen and Ffion are a lovely couple, very friendly and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The place is very much as described and we had a lovely, relaxing stay, so much so we would have liked to have stayed longer! We will definitely return!

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Caroline's cottage. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy and the location is excellent - just a short stroll into Llangollen with restaurants and shops on the door step. Caroline was also really helpful in organising a morning at a nearby spa which was well worth the visit! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What an amazing place and host! The cottage was beautiful in beautiful surroundings, lots of nature and animals, we stayed with 4 children and 2 dogs and there was ample space for us all! The cottage was spotless and there was everything we needed there, Alys was amazing from start to finish and even let the children go and meet her horses which they havnt stopped talking about! If you stay here you will not be disappointed! We all can’t wait to go back again! Thank you again Alys we will remember this trip forever ☺️

Lovely quiet cottage with nice dog walks. Kitchen was well equipped to cook. Cottage was warm and cosy.

Lovely place, Coedpoeth really nice. Very convenient for Wrexham and Chester yet step outside and you’re in a lovely woodland valley. Good local shops for supplies. Very quiet at nice with lovely views.

Nicky was on hand when we arrived to welcome us and give us information. The Dairy was clean, tidy and toasty warm, underfloor heating was wonderful. We had a peaceful few days walking in the area and had a good time at The British ironworks centre near Oswestry. Thanks Nicky

Peaceful, private and cosy place. Ideal to spend quality time with the family on a winter holiday. Really enjoyed the fireplace and the nice decoration of the house. I’ve already left a review on trip advisor. The cottage was better than the description. It is one of the best I have ever stayed in! We had booked one a few miles away that had a hot tub! Arrived to it not working and not clean. I booked the cottage, arrived 20mins later!! It was warm, beautiful and Vanessa an absolute treasure. We had a lovely meal in the pub and everyone I met were lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate giving the whole experience 5/5. I have never given 5 before. So thank you, it was fab. Sue

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Richard’s cottage, it is in a lovely location with wonderful views. The weather was very cold while we were there, but fortunately the cottage was warm and snug. We were in the area mostly to catch up with family and friends but there is a lot to do around and about. Ellesmere has some interesting independent shops and we also found various dog friendly eateries.

The Nook was a lovely quiet place to stay. We felt right at home - everything was perfect. Will highly recommend. Thanks Gaynor & Mark.
