The owner is such a lovely young man, very hospitable and helpful. I stayed for a few days before getting keys to my newly bought house, which is stressful in itself and comes with a gusranteed list of unexpected problems. Johnny was so understanding and more than forethcomung to help and be flexible on a the check out timings , even though it put him under pressure to get the place ready for the next guest. Super responsive to any questions and quick to respond outside of standard hours. The apartment itself is very well located, connected via transportation to city center by multiple modes of transport. I had a car with me which tends to be a hustle the closer to the city one gets , but and never had a problem parking right at the front of the building. Slept well, as the place is quiet, beds have comfortable mattresses and great feather pillows i like, few small details which I am quite peculiar about. Overall great stay

Highly recommend staying at Declan's if you get the chance! The property is a lovely clean spacious house close to a beautiful beach and a short drive to all the amenities you could want, as well as lots of places to visit and things to do in the south east of Ireland. The fireplace in the living area is a real focal point of the property, and makes the space so cosy. We particularly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen: we had all the pots and pans needed to cook as if we were at home. Declan himself is a fantastic host - super responsive, friendly and helpful. Everything was so easy and it was a joy to stay there. Thank you, Declan!

Clinton was a great host, cottage was very clean and well equipped. He also helped facilitate taxis to and from the wedding venue we were in town for. Highly recommend.

We were home as a family for personal reasons and pretty last minute to book Whiting Stay. So to spend time in this cozy home with lots of space for the kids was pure awesome, the tasteful Xmas decorations made such a difference so we felt right at home. Looking down on the beach with 2 beautiful cloud free days, sunrises, winter steam coming off the sea, surfers up early to catch the morning tide/swell, starry nights …. Our hearts are full. We really enjoyed our stay in blackwater - it is away from it all and so peaceful - but Gorey and Wexford town are also very close . The projector and hot tub were a huge hit with us all . Would love to visit again - the summer would be nice

Wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. Awesome, private and quiet location. The hosts know everything about the area and are on the spot with all communication. The cottage is so comfortable and quiet. Read a book or write a book or do nothing. No better host
