Cabin holiday rentals in Wisconsin

Our stay at Elizabeth’s home was just what we needed!! We were looking for a quiet remote place that we could recharge and that was exactly what we found. She had everything you needed to cook your own meals. The evenings and mornings were absolutely perfect! There was so much wildlife to watch. My husband tried the kayak and enjoyed that very much. We tried out the little bar and grill, Escape on 2nd Ave in Reeve and the food was incredible!! We hope to be back again!! We want to try out every season!

This was my second time staying here in five years. Everything was great and as advertised. For a remote cabin, it was everything we were expecting. Some areas needed dusting, but I'm 6'7", so I could easily see areas that probably go overlooked. There was a cool cave within walking distance of the house that was advertised in their welcome binder. It took a little bit to find, adding a map or GPS coordinates would have made the hunt easier. But it was a cool experience once we found the cave entrance.

This was my second visit and it won’t be the last! I appreciate the beautiful, quiet setting, cozy space, and amenities and that I can bring my dog with me. I enjoyed afternoon campfires and the hot tub on dry days and proximity to town and Sundara Spa. I’ll echo what other guests have mentioned about low water pressure in the shower, but that’s not enough to affect my rating or desire to return. Whisky Wood is one of my happy places.

Beautiful peaceful and remote. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Angela went above and beyond and would definitely book again in the warmer weather to enjoy the lake

We loved, Loved, LOVED the cottage! So peaceful and serene, with beautiful views... and lots to look at inside too! Such fascinating knickknacks everywhere. Would love to hear some of the stories behind them. Enjoyed ourselves so much, we are definitely considering coming back!

Our stay here was amazing! Jill was very responsive and friendly, even reached out afterwards to check in to make sure everything went well. The bar/restaurant down the road was amazing too. We visited willow river state park and loved how close it was to the cabin. The bed was also super comfy! We appreciated the snacks/pantry goods that were included as well. Thanks for the great stay!

My wife and I stayed at Cabin #2 for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The cabin was perfect in every way, the location was more beautiful than I expected, and Scott went above and beyond in his accommodations and communications. We would definitely go back, and we are very grateful!

I do not give five stars often. to me five stars means perfect, and this was perfect for my wife and I. We have country dogs that need space, we like it quiet, and this gave us that. The trails, the wildlife, and the lake all give the feel that you are at your own private resort. The cabin was Goldy Locks might say, "just right."

We didn't end up staying at this location because of an unexpected medical emergency, but we still give five stars because our host was extremely kind and understanding through the entire process. We would definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay at the Fancy Fireflies! It’s very small and cute and I definitely recommend for a couples getaway trip. Although we had troubles with the shower because it kept getting clogged, it wasn’t a hassle to fix it. Overall, great place!

This cottage is so cute and comfortable. The location on the lake was perfect and it had everything the two of us could have wanted. Dan was quick to reply to every question we had. We planned a last minute getaway to Linda & Robert’s place and it was wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a simple, secluded place with space to explore and be immersed in nature with our dog. This “rustic retreat” was just what we had hoped for and more. It is exactly how it is described, no surprises. Before booking, we read the listing description that was provided, viewed all of the photos and loved reading all of the glowing reviews. We were sold! We loved the long drive into the property and the wildlife seen along the way. The trails on the property are such a treat and so much fun to explore. The windows in the cabin were just as described….AWESOME!Puzzles and campfires were our source of relaxation, after dark. Linda and Robert are great hosts and communication was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the rustic retreat and would highly recommend it to others. :)

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful property! The open fields and trails were perfect for outdoor adventures, and it was an ideal spot for our dog to run and explore. The house was cozy, and we loved spending time on the porch after long hikes. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in nature, this place is a great choice!

Steve and Jill's place is an absolute gem. What they offer is an authentic Northwoods experience. The lodge is a perfectly restored 1900s-era building with a magnificent bar overlooking Moccasin Lake. We stayed in the cabin, which was very private, comfy, and a perfect extension of the lodge. As for the lake, Moccasin Lake checks all the boxes. It is completely private, offers outstanding fishing, and, most importantly, provides complete serenity. Whether you are fishing, kayaking, or just sitting on the pier, the soundtrack will be provided by the call of the loons. On our final evening, while enjoying a campfire, the loons were joined by a fox calling for her kits, with great horned owls adding to the chorus. As hosts, Steve and Jill are among the best I've encountered at any Airbnb or VRBO. In a very short time, they will make you forget that you are guests and give you the sensation that you have been morphed into close friends or family who have been coming to the lake for years.

This is a lovely property that exceeded our expectations. It’s the kind of place you need to get away from it all and reconnect with nature. I’ve already recommended the cabin for getaways to my friends even though I want it to be my secret getaway. We will be back and for a longer stay!

Had a weekend retreat with my daughter, it was a great time for us to reconnect with no screens/TV. A time for lots of games and great conversation. We did a couple trail rides, which was a super fun addition to our journey. And my daughter really enjoyed some pool time as well.

Great place for our ice fishing trip. Was super cold weather -30 and had some plumbing issues. Very quick to respond and solve the issue. Definitely would stay again.
