Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Windham County

The place was beautifully decorated with great lake views! The host was very responsive and helpful. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you!

Amazingly well-appointed home. Everything from a great and massive assortment of pots, pans, utensils, etc...to fully stocked paper products and cleaning products...to spices and oils...and tea and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. Modern appliances. Cozy linens, comfy mattresses. Heating worked well on very cold days in January. Plenty of throw blankets (for indoors and outdoors.) A few free streaming channels to choose from. Two nice desks in two separate locations in the home. Not sure what else you could need or how to feel more tended to by a host. And...being right on the lake is divine and serene.

Cute little lake house! Wish we stayed here during warm weather to take advantage of all of the fun lake activities right outside the door!

The rooms in the house were huge! The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Airbnb with family and friends and everyone was excited about the house. Thank you for your hospitality! John and Dill Tatasciore and family

We loved staying at Michael’s beautiful home! Nestled in the woods near a lake, it was the perfect base for our family’s reunion trip. Michael was quick to respond to our questions and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a family gathering at Emma's place (Tranquil Forest Haven). Everyone loved it. The house is architecturally unusual in a good way, with an enormous amount of common area for a 4-bedroom home. The kitchen is large enough for several cooks to be working at once and there are two large and one smaller common areas that flow together. The living/dining room has a cathedral ceiling in the sitting area and a lower, flat ceiling in the dining area. The acoustics were great. Even with multiple conversations going everyone could hear each other without shouting. So many homes and other gathering places have bad acoustics for gatherings, so this was a welcome relief from that problem, especially appreciated by the many people in our family who are older, with hearing loss. We had a nice walk around the nearby town pond, next to the school . It is wooded and tranquil, with geese. (The beach is closed due to bacteria. ) We enjoyed the fire in the wood stove.

Nate and Polly were great hosts. Very happy they don’t use the toxic chemicals of febreze, Gain, Glade, etc throughout their house and linens. Very clean and well supplied. Beautiful spot on the lake. My only thought is it is a bit pricey for the fall/early winter time of year, but I definitely recommend their place.

Bert was extremely nice and welcoming! He met us outside at check in and showed us around. Very quiet and quaint area!

Becky’s place is the most perfect little safe haven. It’s even better than the photos — offering the most comfy, detail-oriented, peaceful getaway in every sense of the word. The property is incredible, Becky was extremely hospitable and accommodating, and the whole experience was a joy. You can tell a lot of personal care has gone into this home. And the little $10 gift card to their cafe nearby was the perfect added bonus. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Can’t wait to return :)

It was a great experience to stay with a family or friends well traveling the area it was great though loved everything about it had a great time there.

Patricia’s place is exactly as described. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. If you like to walk this is the perfect location. Everything in westerly and Pawcatuck was very close and easy to walk to. Highly recommend it.

We booked Tyler and Lauren’s place for a wedding we were attending in the area. It was perfect for our needs and close to the wedding venue. Their place was clean and comfortable and we took advantage of their outdoor fire pit area, including the s’more fixings they left for us. They have a lovely yard and Lauren was incredibly friendly and responsive with all of our questions and concerns. I would absolutely stay there again if visiting RI.

The owners were wonderful. They were overly accommodating. We loved the location to the beach. We would definitely go back. Highly recommend this rental.

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

A Perfect Lakeside Couple Retreat – 5 Stars! Our stay at Lakeside Landing was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking lake views, the serene atmosphere, and the beautifully designed space. This getaway truly offers the perfect blend of relaxation & closely located by foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and many great restaurants also old mystic and Rhode Island are right up the road as well Great location and very private also the hot tub is a nice touch as well.

We had a great stay. Johannah had a welcome basket full of fun stuff waiting for us, she came over just to help us start a fire and shoveled the snow for us to get out. We are certainly looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to have that experience as well.

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

The place was beautifully furnished in every aspect possible. The indoor fireplace was very nice to use. We can tell how much attention to detail Keith put into the cabin. The kitchen was nice and cozy, and the beds were comfortable. The only thing that was inconvenient was the limited hot water per each shower.

It was all we expect great adventure for couples , that need to relax and enjoy nature . We will be coming back there soon , still didn’t get to explore the parks as it was too icy to walk but we enjoyed the cabin and small towns around

My stay at Angela's place was very peaceful and enjoyable. The sauna by the pond was great, and the water is right by if you want to cool down real quick. The area was great for hiking as there were several trails to access by foot right from the doorstep. My visit was very relaxing, and Angela always replied to any of my questions in a very timely fashion.

We had a great time! Very close to Foxwoods and perfect for larger group to hang out before and after the show at Foxwoods. Mary reached out to let us know about a possible winter storm and the challenges that it might pose for us. Everything worked out perfectly but it we appreciated knowing what to expect and being able to make an informed decision before proceeding with our weekend plans. Thank you, Mary! I hope I have a chance to visit your cabin when the weather is warm.
