Such a beautiful area! You can see every star there is when it's clear, love hearing the cows and horses! The view is stunning! So peaceful and private! Definitely home away from home!

Kathleen and Steve were great host. The place was very clean and worked out great for us to gather. The fire pit and s’mores were great! Our family really enjoyed this place.

my stay was great, all the amenities for a weeklong stay and no light leaking into the rooms at night. Shanna was always quick to respond.

Prairie Pines Lodge is a unique property in a secluded spot in Western Kansas. There is a small church across the road, but other than that, the house is all alone on the Kansas prairie in a largely agricultural setting. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is located on the property with a well-furnished kitchen, large common area to visit, and nice large bedrooms throughout the house. Plenty of parking, a large yard and children's play area. Also an outdoor grill and small basketball court. Our group stayed in early January, pheasant hunting in the area, so we were gone during most of the daylight hours and did not use the outdoor amenities. The only word of caution, which should be obvious, is that you need to plan well for your meals. It is a pretty long drive to nearest grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.

If you want to feel right at home, Jaime's place is the place to be in this area. You'll have a great time if you ttavel with family or alone, quiet and confortable place, ammenities & cleanliness are a +. I'd stay here again for sure, Jaime is a very kind and responsive person, I think this is a valuable place to stay at. You can feelnthe family vibe, I felt peace in the house.

first of all.... This place had everything needed for a weekend, a night, or a month of Sundays...lol.. very well stocked kitchen with just about everything you would need to feed a family.. Well.. except food.. one little thing it was missing was aluminum foil.. its the only thing needed for cooking a meal that I couldn't find.. Very spacious little house.. Other than a look. 1 bedroom had bunkbeds.. the other is a queen..while there there was only 2 things I needed... My wife and our dogs.. If ever I have to head back to Scott County Kansas, I'll give them a call to see if it's available...

Perfect place for my wife and I and our two dogs to stay during our western Kansas hunting trip. Very responsive host. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Nice design / furnishings. Kitchen was well outfitted - which comes in handy in Tribune - it’s in mountain time and the grocery store closes at 6. All other restaurants close at 7. Beautiful country - saw mule deer, pronghorns, and pheasants all within 10 miles of town. We’ll be back!

Our host was very proactive, offering to go over there to turn on the porch light when she found out we would not be in town until late in the evening! Easy to communicate with, description of the place was spot on! Everything was very nice, tidy and clean and a relaxing “home” feeling

We recommend to everyone. My family and I really enjoyed stay on these house. Very clean and perfect size for my family. If in future back to Garden City I’ll trying to stay on same house. Thanks for everything Mr Santiago.

Annie is a great host, the house was perfect for what we needed. A great place to relax at after a long day at work. We definitely will be staying again, when we are in the area.
